Hey man thanks for the video!! Your channel is like basically the only HRV-specific one on YT and has def helped me maintain my sisters 2017 EX. Great content, keep up the hard work!
Definitely good that you did that before it got bad. My gf and I got stuck at a gas station because the battery corroded the terminal. A few months later I was about to have to go to the airport and the same issue happened again. Ended up having to replace the terminals which isn’t bad but it was more of a nuisance than anything.
I didn't even know it was serviceable! I'll have to keep an eye on it now. Lol
Thank you for all the diy vids. Any chance you will ever do a brake pad vid ?
I will! As soon as he needs it. Lol This car! The reason I haven’t done any more videos yet is nothing has worn out. 🤷♂️
El problema con esos tornillos es que están durísimos. No los quiero sacar, tengo miedo de arruinar el tornillo. Conviene tirarle algún aflojador?
Did you forgot to save the code memory before to remove the battery ?
I didn’t do it. No good reason why. Just didn’t think about it. 🤣
@@jstinsley how do you save the code memory?
You are all thumbs.
27 minutes? I did the job in 30 including going to NAPA, all I wanted to see is if there is a trick to getting the positive cable off since I am doing it in 6degree weather. I figured it out on my own. I have no patience for videos that don’t get right to the point. Instead of showing yourself figuring out what size socket to use, do that off camera.
Please don't remove the cover of that battery, for your protection, no service needed. My neighbor put water on that battery and it splash blinding his one eye.
If you are not sure how to replace or service the battery DON'T MAKE A VIDEO....Obviously you don't know. You DON'T REMOVE THE POSITIVE BATTERY 1ST. YOU COULD HAVE DAMAGED THE CAR COMPUTERS by SHORTING/ SPARKS causing thousands of dollars in damages....
He remove the battery cover for nothing, no inspection necessary. Putting water on an acid battery can cause a splash and get into your eye. I don't like this video people might think its ok to put water on their battery.
I think I missed what you're referring to. He started by removing the negative first at 4:33.
