    I agree with the past two comments and probably more as well. Many thanks beyond what words can I say. I have trouble hearing but your voice and pronunciations are so clear to my ears. I am a subscriber now and shall look forward to your other videos. I am new to Word and need it to be spoon fed as you have done.

    It's still a good idea to keep a hardcopy dictionary.
    Personally, it's fun to look up words.

    Hello,
    How can I disable the EXTREMELY ANNOYING word definitions that show up while spell checking? I want to go back to the old word suggestions but WITHOUT the definitions. It gives me an extreme amount of rage.
    Thank you.

      We're sorry, but we're not aware of a way to make the word definitions disappear while spell checking.

    I'm really worried and confused. Some of the options in the "Proofing" panel are locked. I can't make those wavy red lines in my script. What can I do?

    • @GCFLearnFree
      @GCFLearnFree  6 лет назад +1

      We're sorry to hear it! It's not an issue we're familiar with, so you may want to restart Word entirely and/or further Google the issue to see whether there's a fix.

    What do the brownish underlines mean? They look like small brown hyphens underlining certain words.

      We explain the colored wavy lines in this lesson: www.gcflearnfree.org/word2016/checking-spelling-and-grammar/1/. We hope it helps!

      If you're talking about turning off the red and blue wavy lines, that's easy! After you select Proofing, uncheck the box next to Check spelling as you type, then click OK. Hope this helps!

    In the online Word I change the language to my native language, but in the next second, it changes it to English again. And I don't have the default option. What to do?

    • @GCFLearnFree
      @GCFLearnFree  5 лет назад +1

      There are a few different things that could cause this, and it’s possible there is a setting on your computer that is conflicting with your language selection. This article has some tips for fixing this issue: support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/292106/changes-to-default-language-settings-are-not-retained-in-word. Hope it helps!

    • @GCFLearnFree
      @GCFLearnFree  5 лет назад +1

      You should find it under the Review tab if you're working with the full version of Word (please note that Office 365 doesn't have all of the same features that you'll find in Office 2016, so that could be why you're not seeing it).

    How can I download trial version ??
    anybody give me a link ??

    • @GCFLearnFree
      @GCFLearnFree  6 лет назад +1

      We recommend going directly to Microsoft's website to see if a trial version is available. We get a lot of users attempting to post their "free product keys" for Office, but we don't recommend clicking those links, as they are likely not valid. We hope this helps!
