Could you please tell me how do get rid of the Add-ons. As the one minute my spell checker is working (as I type) and the next minute it would automatically be ticked in the language box (do not check spelling or grammar)
The safe mode worked for me, but it opened up an error and asked me to download "Install the English Language Pack for 64-bit Office" to fix the proofing. Thank you
Many of my word documents contain highly specialized scientific, philosophical, and theological terminology that I must "add" when prompted. When i close one of these documents and then reopen it, those very words which i "added" are flagged. I then "add" them again, but the problem only persists. This is also true if i "ignore" or "ignore all" a prompted word. This drives me batty. Why is it doing this? Also, even after i have re-added or re-ignored all flag entries so that the document is "clean" of all flagged items, if i change the document in any way (say, delete a word, add a word, add a space, etc) all those previously flagged items show up again! Then i have to go throgh the entire process again of either adding or ignoring all flagged items in order to make them go away. HELP!!
I can't check in the selection the mark grammar check as you type in proofing.. and I can't uncheck the Hide Spelling errors and Hide Grammar errors. PLEASE HELP ME
I'm so God dam sick off having to type everything 5 or 6 times to correct the mistakes the autocorrect makes. I hate the guys guts with a passion who came up with it. It DOESN'T WORK. And it did in this comment. It Fs up what I type every single time and it is a nightmare out of the bowels of hell.
I would like this to do much more slowly .I can't remember this stuff and can not write that quickly. There needs to be an "OK Boomer" version of this video.

the last step worked for me but i have to do it every time again, what add on i need to remove and how ?
go to settings languages and look if proofing is installed for the language you have selected if you are not english native
