Love this series! I’ve been having trouble getting a decent sound out of the low G, but I switched to your 20 30 40 strings and the sound is much better. Do you always mute the nut (non playing) side of the string while playing slide? I have lots of fun playing diddley bow, but haven’t progressed much playing slide with 3 string, but I’m hoping to learn more from this series. Thanks!
It just takes a while to figure out your relationship with the neck. Some people like to press a little harder and then some people prefer a lighter touch really depends on the song if you want to Sweet slide or a heavier Blues type of a slide. One of the main things to factor in is the string gauges that you use. You just have to figure out if you want heavier strings medium strings are lighter strings
Brother I could listen to you making that cigar box come to life with the passion. Amazing bravo bravo
Loved it! I'm sitting here carving on a cigar box guitar as I watch this. Looking forward to Part 3!
Sounds great, Steve! Question, do your strings come in a 4 pack?

Glad you like the strings. Most of the time I mute behind the slide. Sometimes To create another effect I dont

I’m the guy from Englewood with the ukuleles. Last saw you at the festival in Sarasota.
Are you pressing the slide down hard enough to touch the fretboard, or are you just gliding the slide across the tops of the strings?
Pretty much just gliding. You need to experiment with the pressure that you put on to the strings
