Poor bus driver hearing a grown woman scream at a nine year old girl about her separation anxiety
Lily Cunningham well if she wants to be a dancer she needs to get over it
I agree but it’s her moms fault that she is scared to be alone .
@@drewcormier6562 You obviously know nothing about mental health. What you said was extremely ignorant.

Christy, she's not scared of leaving your side. She's scared of YOU. You have caused her to develop attachment issues. She thinks if she's not constantly there and showing you that she's picking you then you're going to be mad at her. It's actually extremely sad

Sarah's Mom: "Sarah doesn't want to let go of me."
Before she came back to dance moms Sarah: "My mom doesn't want me to leave her side"
ME:🤦♀️
thinking about freedom is different to getting it. It's much more scary when it actually happens. Before she had the buffer of knowing in her mind her mother would inevitably not let her leave her side. It's like when people in prison dream of getting out, and then they get out and lose it because they don't have the skills to be independent and so they freak out and get scared. Sarah doesn't know how to be on her own because her mother has never taught her so it's very scary when it actually happens.

I think Abby is torn. he's a really wonderful and dedicated dancer who she would love to work with and give opportunities to, but she's also really hard to work with because she can't do anything on her own. She is not where society would expect a 9 year old would be. I know Abby is being harsh but in the long run it is probably going to help her out in spades as it's going to be hard to get jobs as a dancer if she needs her mommy by her side the whole time

Who? Christy or Abby?
I think she just can’t be “independent” bcz well first of all, she was nine and second of all, she may have some separation anxiety
Natalie Rose well you can’t have separation anxiety all your life l
every child has separation anxiety at 4 when they go to school, then they go to school and get over it. she can’t be away from her mother for a few hours when they’re still on the same bus, that’s so unhealthy
exactly. its one thing when toddlers cry when their mother leaves them at daycare, but she is nine years old. she needs to learn how to be away from her mother, when they are on the same bus
She can't have separation anxiety forever, one day her mother will be in a better place, what will she do then? And honestly, she'll just be a couple of seats back, she kinda needs to really grow up.
lots of 9 year old can be independent! my 10 year old (birthday was last month) is capable of dressing herself, feeding herself, packing her own lunch, etc. She's had sleepovers at our house and away at other houses since she was 6. Give a kid a chance to have some independence and they will take it. The ONLY reason I do stuff for her now is because she broke her arm and is in a cast for a few weeks but she still tries to do what she can before asking for help.
I 100% would bet she has some form of anxiety. I was the same way and people said the same thing about me growing up. I feel for her.
Yes definitely separation anxiety. It was wrong of them all to push her so hard in such an uncomfortable situation for her it would have been traumatising for someone so clearly anxious. She can't help it as its a mental disorder.
I doubt it. SHe's been homeschooled and never left her mother's side. She's been conditioned to never be separated from her mother. They just cut that apron string and let her sit on her own. Once the kids start talking to her she'll forget about it.
Imagine her on a field trip
She’s home schooled so
That's kinda rude to say🥺

I think she might be adopted
the girls nine! it’s not the end of the world if she gets scared and stressed out without her mom!!
I can't figure out exactly what's going on here...some of it seems edited but what I do see is a sensitive sweet little girl who is overwhelmed, not used to traveling with these other girls, maybe afraid they won't accept her. Sarah is just anxious over this whole situation and I would be too. Whenever Abby and her mom are in the same space things go wrong. And then Abby does start screaming at her! It's very important for children to learn to be independent away from their parents but at the same time is it such a big deal if Sarah wants to sit with her mom until she feels more comfortable? Some kids are just more sensitive and I don't fault them for that either or believe that makes them cry babies.
Agreed!!
No she likes those girls but doesn’t wanna leave her mum....
Isa Karaoglan yeah but this is her first time *traveling* with them
Rachel A. Agreed
I think Abby tried to push them all to be strong independent and confident women so that they would be better prepared for carriers in entertainment. She had reason to not want to be back there, it`s a new environment and the other girls don`t really seem to welcome her. She also seems to be a bit shy, but clearly Abby and her mom disagree on the right way to guide children to independence.

To be honest this is her mom's fault Sarah is a great dancer but her mom never let her do anything alone and she's used to being with her mother always helping her or doing things for her not saying that parents shouldn't help their kids but she's baby's her to much she needs to be a little more strict with Sarah or she's just gonna be like that forever
I'm with Abby on this. Christy keeps Sarah behind and she misses out and now Sarah can't even leave her mother's side. Maybe Sarah feels like she's betraying her mom instead of Abby. It's all because christy keeps babying her.
Harley M I would say that, had this gone on longer and she has matured a bit than at this point mom will finally have gotten through her thick head what Abby was teaching her daughter, independence.
this is the only thing i agree on what abby says.
I agree with her except for the part where she called Sarah a crybaby
Maybe so. But I don’t like how Abby exactly handled the situation.
She’s literally 8..
It's the Mother's fault for raising her child to not be independent...
Also, it's probably because she is homeschooled so she might not be used to being alone.
I think you can have a homeschooled kid that has a sense of independence. And I am not a massive fan of homeschooling (because it fails to teach kids how to be part of a system) But the problem is Christy never leaves her kid alone. I mean homeschooled kids can have sleepovers and playdates and go on field trips with homeschooling groups or go away to dance competitions or sports camps. But Christy has allowed none of that so the kid cannot cope on her own.
@@MsJubjubbird Agreed
Christy is acting like it isn’t her fault Sarah has separation anxiety
Might not have been. You never know. Plus, this show is pretty much fake, anyway.
0:45 Sarah’s smile was so cute and like sweet she is so pretty
I know Sarah is only young, but people need to learn to be independent from a young age before they go into the real world where they live by themselves and loom after themselves and make a life of their own. Her mommy won’t be there forever. One day she will be gone and Sarah will be on her own. She needs to learn to be independent before it’s too late. She doesn’t nee to hold her mommy’s hand every step of the way!
Sandbox Videos yes but her mother may also have made Sarah want to always be with her mam because a lot of the time it is the parents fault so lay off jeez
Krystal Kat
That has nothing to do with her saying that
She could have separation anxiety, I did around her age too I’m not really sure why I went to school and would cry because I was so anxious my mother would die but now it’s better. I think she just needs time.
Bruh no one asked you to write a paragraph. AND ALSO probably everyone knows that
It's more like mommy won't let go of Sarah's hand
The troll music whilst Christy walked in 😂😂😂
This just doesn’t make sense to me, in the last episode she was ready to go to the competition without her mom and Christy was the one who wouldn’t let her be independent. Now a week later Sarah is crying over not sitting beside her mom?
good point
WDYM?
@@mood7426 I mean that I think the producers manipulated or staged this story line because it doesn’t make sense that one week she is ready to be independent and go for a weekend a way without her mom and then next week be too scared to even sit without her at the back of the bus.
Someone made a valid point in one of the above comments. They said Sarah isn’t afraid to leave her side, she’s afraid of christy. She’s afraid that if she doesn’t spend every minute with her, Christy will think she’s choosing her to be her last resort. Basically she’s afraid of christy yelling at her for not choosing her above all else
wait cuz u just made a point

It was actually so nice how Gia was sticking up for Sara in this episode.
Maybe it's not even about being independent, she could've been frightened by all the shouting that always happens at the studio and wanted to be near someone she's comfortable with(her mother)
Routine called "on my own", how ironic
Abby knows actually what she’s doing . Petty
Carly Doyle It’s not ironic because Abby chose the song just for Sarah because she can’t be independent
“Your kid is crying over a seat on the bus!” 😂
Sarah at 9: mom i want to sit next to you i dont want to leave you
Me at 9: MOM GET AWAY UR ALWAYS NEXT TO ME I WANNA BE INDEPENDENT
Some kids need their parents more than others. Sarah is pretty young. I was not independent until 15-16 and even now I still depend on my parents.

Abby: “the next solo goes to Sarah”
Jill: bu- but my little Kendall-
Sarah shouldn't be crying over not getting a seat next to her mother. Soon she's going to be in college without her mum, what will she do then? She needs to socialise more with the girls. I understand that Sarah might be shy, but socialising is a life skill that we should all have. When you're older, you're going to have to talk a lot. That's why it's important to practice, especially as children. I'm a very shy person in general which causes me to be awkward. I've had my siblings teasing me saying "you're so awkward" or "weirdo" so I know how it feels.
Edit: Thank you for all the likes. ❤
Emma O’Toole yeah but she’s also 9
@@ashleyphilip194 True she is only 9 no need to rush she will eventually mature
I think it’s the effects of homeschooling to be honest. If she went to school she’d be apart from her mother for 6-7 hours a day, but she doesn’t, she’s always with her and so she struggles being away from her (only for a few hours) at 9 when most kids do it at 4
She's 9. Socialising comes with age. You can't expect a nine year old not to want to sit next their mom. Let her be a kid. If she's in college and still needs her mom, then you can give out about it. But give the kid a break.

I agree with Abby on this one. Sarah’s nine she should be able to sit with her kids her age on a bloody bus!

“I’m sorry that ur kid is crying over a seat on the bus”💀😂
As someone who has seperation anxiety, I could see how mabye the competition seemed scary. But her mom is completely responsible for how severe it is, I'm glad my mom let me be independent before it was too late.
I have anxiety too and this is the scariest thing that could happen with all the pressure
Even though it's her mother's fault, that she doesn't let her daughter become a tiny teeny bit more independent, I still think crying over a seat 5 meters away from your mom is way too dramatic. Her tears were understandable last time, when Abby told her she should go to the competition on her own, because that's really a bit too much for a 9-year-old child. But weeping over not sitting next to your mom? She's still on the same bus within hearing distance. Being that dramatic over nothing won't help her becoming a better dancer.

Sarah was just uncomfortable without sitting with her mom, we all know how it feels when that happens. But she should not have melted down like that.
Considering that her mom was on the same bus and in plain sight, and they were travelling with a group of folks that she knew, the meltdown was indeed unnecessary.
Daddy Grump she cried because Abby snapped at her then started yelling at her

Gachagirl123 not everyone’s the same as you though
The fact that Abby is too worried about where Sarah's sits on the bus, Abby is acting like a baby herself! People blaming Sarah’s mother, it might not just be her. Some kids are more attached and anxious when it comes to leaving your parents. Like when I went on my school trip when I was ten, I cried the whole time and begged the teachers to let me go home. But some people would happily leave their parents behind and fly to a different country without even wanting them.
