    That timber was stunning. To me they are like the German Shepherds of the snake world; handsome and stately.

    When i lived deep in the woods of Tn. we had a bluff right behind our house and we would sit and watch through the window with bino's and watch them start creeping out as the sun heated the bluff. It was so cool!

    Mountain videos are the best! Kinda of biased because I live in the NC Blue Ridge. I only seem to find water snakes and rat snakes up here though. You seem to have got herping down to a science.

    Just want to say that Wood frogs, like many frogs, can show subtle color changes (lighter to darker etc, including patterns). So I wouldn't say that wasn't a nice looking wood frog at all.

    I caught a small snake today that was light brown and had a kinda cream colored stripe all the way down it’s back I originally thought it was a worm snake when I picked it up I know it wasn’t a brown snake or a ringneck, it was only about 3” long I’ve spent hours looking for what it was and I can’t figure out I know it was none venomous but I’m bum fuzzled on this one

    My cousin just gave me a young female eastern milksnake a few days ago. She had gotten into the building where my cousin works because there's a small wooded area nearby. My cousins coworkers actually wanted to kill it which unfortunately is the typical reaction of most people. If she starts to eat I might keep her since they don't typically get very large. She definitely hatched last year or the year before. If she was a grown adult I probably wouldn't even try to keep her. I have other snakes and have previously even had an eastern milksnake for 15 years before who was an adult someone else gave me. If she doesn't eat soon I will leave her go in the woods not far from my house. There are other eastern milksnakes there.

      Please release her close to where she was found.

    • @joshuahull9982
      @joshuahull9982 2 года назад

      @@nightinggale6470 she will be okay. I have 36 years experience keeping and breeding reptiles. I've become more of a keeper than a breeder now that I'm getting older. There's a bunch of construction going on where she lived because they are building an Amazon warehouse. That's probably why she got into the building where my cousin works. She is in shed at the moment. It's not against the law to have eastern milksnakes in Maryland. Nobody is going to kill her now like they wanted to do. I also belong to the mid atlantic turtle and tortoise society and we released a rehabilitated box turtle last Saturday. I found her injured back in May and she had surgery to have her shell repaired.

      @nightinggale6470 2 года назад

      @@joshuahull9982 definitely not some “liberal peta fanatic”. There’s just no good reason to keep a wild snake in this case. It’s selfish and unfair to the snake.
