I was a small kid when I heard it in Tom and Jerry and this riff stuck with me for like 12 years. Now that I'm going through classical music this suddenly felt like a huge shot of dopamine. Bless Tchaikovsky
this concert is my childhood. My mom is an orchestra director and when I was a little kid she used to direct this opera (the Nutcracker). Since then I freaking love Tchaikovsky’s art pieces!
Ah this brings back memories, I have a story about this tune: When my brother was graduating, there was a bit of end of the year fun where all the boys in his class put on tutus, while mock-playing football, and it was all done to this tune.
Depuis le temps que je cherchais le titre de cette musique, sa me fait trop plaisir de la réécouter en boucle. Je ne m'en lasse pas. Tchaikovsky est un génie dans son art.
My grandmother always took me and my younger cousin so see a nutcracker play by professionals in a giant theatre room she said she always never got tired of seeing it every year because they always change it up a little and that’s what makes it special and good I gotta admit I love the plays to I especially love the music

Even as a German I have to say, German composers are only a close number 2 for me. Russian classic music has something magic about it that is unmatched. Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky have the best pieces of classical music. Nutcracker, Swanlake, Romeo and Juliet, Peter and the Wolf…
I was walking past an elementary school in Japan this morning and this music was played on the loudspeakers while an announcement was being made to the kids that school was starting.
This just made me cry. It was my grandmother's favorite song from the Nutcracker with 1:20 - end being her most favorite. And now it's my favorite...besides anything from swan lake of course.
Nowadays i am falling for classical old music don't know why ,i literally stopped listening 🎧 modern hip-hop songs most of my friends bully me for this change,,, but i found myself in this type of waltz🖤

Noticing a lot of teenagers confessing privately to liking classical music... But you'd be surprised at how many actually do like classical music. It's not bad to appreciate a complex and cleverly put together form of music. When these symphonies were composed, there was no computer to help, no auto-tuning, it was pen to paper before it was ever music. That's why i'm rather confused about why people are embarrassed to admit they have the mind to appreciate it. Just my opinion =) Merry Christmas!
This brings back such memories. We'd go see the Nutcracker every Christmas when I was a kid. The russian dancing was my favorite. This is definitely a close second though.
Bro every time I hear this I get reminded of Christmas trees, bright shimmering lights, huge swarms of people at the mall with Christmas music playing, chestnuts, the smell of pine and fir, the nutcracker, of course, and the excitement that you can literally smell in the air. It’s July. What is Tchaikovsky doing to me
The first piece of music that I ever loved. I was 5 or 6 years old, appearing in a school play of 'Peter And The Wolf' as a tree. The teacher got confused and used the wrong Tchaikovsky march, using this. I loved it instantly.

as a clarinet player, i feel so honored to have played this at a concert in front of hundreds of people.
I also play in woodwind and this is a classical. It may just basically be repeated but it is still a masterpiece.

The Nutcracker Suite is honestly one of the most iconic pieces of art ever bestowed upon us.

This song is criminally underrated out of all classical musics I've heard
its not that underrated in the classical world, but yes the (PIECEEEE) is so good!
It’s one of the most well known songs in the world (though most people don’t know the name) I don’t think it’s underrated
"underrated" is overused, get your behind out of here
lol caveman
Haha! Yeah, get your caboose outta here, bro. Underrated is sucked dry, Christ, its teat has shrivelled up into nothing more than a rotten plank!

It's such a shame that Tchaikovsky himself hated the entire Nutcracker Suite.
Feodor Blinnikov Quite ironic! I mean this is my most favorite classic music! If only he could realize how legendary and iconic this music has become!
Why would he release it if he hated it?
Why would you hate it?
It's amazing!!!!!!! 🎺🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️
He hated the performance but quite satisfied with the music
It is ironic, but not a shame. A true artist is never satisfied by his work.
