What a lovely shade of green that board has, like a soothing summer meadow. Thank you for your pleasant video recording - it was the highlight of my evening.
Aah that brings back memories 😀, I swear some people just heat up 6" nails & try to solder with them. The amount of times I've seen people using plumbers flux for board repair is unbelievable, even those who should know better.Excellent video as usual by the way.
At 16:16 you talk about what sounds like some logic probe testing. It would be great to see that testing. Seeing you step through the in game testing doesn’t teach as much as a few minutes on a logic probe. Thanks for sharing! Be great to see de-soldering technique. These may seem remedial to you, but us noobs love it! Considering all the time these took, what do you charge for such repairs?
Fantastic job! Just goes to show how important it is to make sure these are connected correctly! The fuses are just hard to believe, you seem to get nothing but the wrong size fuses! Does anything ever have the right sized fuses lol! Makes me wonder what sized fuses they have in their home fuse box!!!!
That #3 board looked a gazillion times better after you worked on it. Small question. Do you replace these mosfets with the same models, or is there an alternative one used which might be more reliable?

Seeing logic probes of what these should look like would help a lot too.
For noobs watching, it would be great to see more of you doing the work than the before and after. Especially logic probe work.
You replaced the u6 a hct273 with a regular 74ls273 ? Is that for testing or long term? The ls can be used instead of the hct in this application?

They get upgraded to IRL540, which are common and more resiliant
