I only discovered Urzila in the last couple of months. She's an amazing lady who's observational comedy is brilliant. I hope she comes to Ireland soon!
Love this, it's extremely true. I think most people let nerves get in the way of there dreams, but they are only setting themselves up for a lifetime of regret.
I adore this, and I'm kinda feeling the pressure of changing the direction of my life. I stumbled upon this video looking at comedians late at night. It's what I needed to hear right at the right moment. Much respect Urzila!!
Just so you know Urzila (I'm sure you'll be checking up on the comments at some stage ;) ), you're a great storyteller, with a great sense of humour to back it up, & we in NZ adore you & are thankful to have you as a part of this country. I know being a public figure you're always going to get haters, but you obviously have the right attitude to deal with it & I have all the admiration in the world for the way you go about life, never taking yourself too seriously. In all honesty, I wish I could be more like that myself. I think anyone who is shaped by fears & anxieties does.
How can you not regret? I have no idea what I want to do with my life and there's so many options, each day is another day without pursuing anything great, and each day is another regret! I doubt she's ever done anything that she regrets because she's legit not regretted anything
I lived there for more than 30 years and I can read! It's in the papers everyday! South Africa has one of the highest murder, rape and hi-Jack statistics in the world higher than countries at war! You need to wake up
no, you need to wake up. its a fact that south africa has a high crime rate. but reported on newspapers everyday? that is so untrue. whatever your source is, clearly its aim is to portray South Africa as a dysfunctional country.
How is she in any way offensive? .... this is a ted talk ... she was sharing her life experiences and what she has learned .... she done it in a sincere and humorous manner .... authentic to her person .... she wasn’t doing a comedy act ... if you are offended thats on you ... YOU being offended does not make something offensive ....
OMG I love this woman. What a terrific speech.
I was in the front row that day, was one of the best talks!!!

Not what I thought it would be, but better! Do I regret the 10 mins I spent watching this? No, I do not!
Joyous woman. This talk wasn't nearly long enough.
She puts a very funny spin on things profound. Love it.

Why can’t ted talks be more like her’s - practical, to the point and on the lighter side.
Lighter side?
Yes I agree with you
But copies others material - Sarah Millican
@@NRG56 agreed, nothing lighter with her

come on crime in south africa is not 'exceptionally' high. you also do not see it everyday on newspapers....
The crime is not that bad and you don't see it in the papers? With all due respect open your eyes and read a bit!
yes you do not see it everyday. i live in South Africa i know what i'm talking about.

OMG this is amazing I've never spoken to someone brainwashed before! Haha READ THE PAPER TODAY!!!!
you can be funny and offensive , but she's offensive and not funny , that's the problem
That's your opinion. 1.8k likes to 25 dislikes says something different though.
@@shdagentzero m not specifically talking bout this vid . I haven't watched it .
