This is the best video I have seen. Finally, someone had the sense to use something lager than actual hair and do it slowly so I can follow it. THANK YOU!
I couldn't figure out how to tie the knot. The other videos on RUclips, they go too fast and the videos did not help me. But this video is the best. The person is knotting using a big hook and a thick thread so it's easy to see how knotting is done. But the principle is the same when applied to venting hair. Thanks for uploading.
I also enjoy the hobby of with wig making and I am new to the world but I must say your video is the very best video and I've seen thousands of the process to learn how to do ventillation thank you so much for coming up with this wonderful easy to see technique that's always been the problem you can't see them twisting the hook when they pull it back through the lace my hooks always get Kat's I've been using that picker a cheater thank you for showing amazing
Urs is the bomb. God bless you. Just what I have been looking for after watching so many videos on ventilating. You just passed the message. Thaaaaaank you so much.
This saved my life I looked at so many videos and got frustrated not understand the knot! You are amazing, I just got five rows of single knots with single strands...first attempt everrrrrr!
Thank you so so so much from all the other videos I've tried following the steps it's just so hard and it doesn't show clearly what they're doing thank you so much once again for this I will forever be grateful for u uploading this video!!
Took me forever to get it and I finally got it within the first 20 seconds of this video. I already know how to do this because I do crochet braids. I wish people just told me ventilation is just crocheting the hair to the lace. I wish it was called micro-crochet
Yes, thank you for demonstrating this technique. I would pay for instructional videos on the whole process. You should highly consider creating an online school for this art. I would imagine, they're many like me, who are eager to learn and would pay for this training. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video! I didn't think I could learn how to do ventilating until I watched this video. I only have a few problems now. One thing is, trying to see the individuals hairs and the holes in the mesh. I am currently trying to set up my work station and I am planning on buying a lighted floor model magnifying glass and an eye patch, as it seems to help me to only use 1 eye lol. I'm going to look like a pirate with a very tiny hook. Do you use special glasses or a magnifying glass when you ventilate? Thanks for your video and your blog as well, I really love it, but haven't commented there yet but will try to in the future.
Josh Latham No problem, glad you found it useful! I have the same problem seeing the hair and the holes. I do use a magnifying lamp. A lot of wigmakers will tell you that it interferes with the process, but I find it really helpful, especially with the very detailed single strand work. I have been trying to find magnifying glasses so that I can move around a bit more easily, but haven't found anything suitable yet. Another tip is using tape on the wig block in a contrasting colour to the lace/hair. A lot of wigmakers use blue masking tape which works well. I actually use red electrical tape for many of the jobs and it seems to work well for me. Good luck with the eye patch! Don't forget to pick up a parrot for your shoulder as well... HAHA!
Hello thanks so much for this video! I wanted to ask though, if you hand knot a whole lace wig with a custom hairline and free parting, how long would that take?
This is the greatest video on the webfor really teaching it in a simplistic way. Genius how you use lare to small to catch on. Were you a teacher? in your other life or movie maker?
Thanks! I've never been a teacher nor a movie maker, I just remembered searching endlessly to find a video that clearly showed the technique. Also, as I get older, I appreciate anything that has a 'magnified' option... :P
Goodness me....how long would it take to make a full lace closure with this method....the latter version?...Forever I think....lol...Easier to buy a small lace closure already done, and if you wish to make a wig just use the closure for the top and sew the wefts around a cap, sewing the wefts to the closure at the top.....This is too time consuming for me!
This is the best video I have seen. Finally, someone had the sense to use something lager than actual hair and do it slowly so I can follow it. THANK YOU!
