Thank you for that thorough explanation. I did do a square drill that turned out bad. The drills did not fit well at all. I since have bought more expensive kits in square in hopes it will turn out beautifully. I really like the way you teach. I’m wondering if in a video you could address the round drills and their differences such as resin vs plastic and the number of facets on the drills. Also wondering what your choice is for sealing the paintings. Thank you and have a wonderful week 🦋
Hi, Jacquelyn! Sorry to hear about your square experience. I have definitely had a few of those at a variety of price points, but I do find that the more expensive kits do generally fair better. Not a guarantee, but better odds! :) I will definitely add those questions to my list of questions to address in an upcoming video. They are great! I don't seal my canvases too often, but when I do, here is the method I use: ruclips.net/video/Z8gKIxkqpUM/видео.html Thanks so much for hanging out today!
I really am more comfortable with rounds but the points you emphasized here are very interesting to know. I’ll definitely consider these the next time I get to choose between rounds and squares.😉 I’m loving the colours in that canvas too and it is interesting how you section it off. That’s another great tip!👌🏻❤️
We have had deer eating all my garden flowers this year--so I ordered this North Spirit canvas today--it is just full of gorgeous colors --and maybe will allow me to "forgive" our local deer grazing in my garden... hugs, Julierose
Hi, Julierose! Oof, that is the worst! There's not a fence they can't jump and a lovely plant they won't eat. This one is benign and cute at least! :) I hope you love it!
I have done a lot of paintings in the last year and would like to know if I need to keep them to the original drills if I were to sell them at craft shows. I would love to bling them out some or change colors for my own enjoyment. It sounds like you would know the answer to this.
Thanks so much, Angelique! Always great to see you and your adorable thumbnail. The pic is small of course, but I think that's your little sweetie in the pic with you? Seeing you two always makes me smile.
@@tinyworldsofwonder Thank you so much! It’s my youngest son when he was a baby. It’s an older picture because he’s six now but it’s my favorite. He diamond paints as well❤️
Oh..I am so happy to hear this comparison..I have a J.Wall in rounds and had been regretting that as now almost every J.Wall on streams are square..since J.Wall is more of a watercolor style now I am much happier..and I can bling up more! Thank you for all these great tips on comparisons!!! 💜💎💜 I LOVE your vids!!!
Thank you for the comparison! I also noticed how you cut your painting into sections using the washi tape. Do you have a video on how to do this? You do it differently from other videos I have seen.
I really enjoy the look of squares. For some reason I seem to be doing a lot of rounds lately, but I think it's just the "luck of the draw." My completed square drill canvases are my favorite. :)
Thank you very much for the explanation and the difference between round and square drills. It makes a lot of sense now but I have to say I still like rounds because they just so much easier to do.
That's cool! I haven't done a Dreamer Designs, but they are a reputable company. :) As long as the image isn't overly detailed, a 30x30 can be a lot of fun! :)
My hear dropped for a second I thought you were cutting through the dang canvas 😂😂😂 I’m strictly a square girl! Not necessarily for looks but I just don’t have as much fun with rounds. Plus for some reason my hair gets stuck in the gapping of rounds 😂 so it’s a no from me. Now I give all my rounds to my friends and nieces 🥰
This canvas is definitely on my wishlist!! Those colors are everything and I love it so much 😍😍😍 PS, wait, do you actually see the Northern Lights in Montana?!
I love it too! I'm crossing my fingers that the rendering is large enough to do it justice at this rather small size. The colors are EVERYTHING! And yes - at least way up north where I grew up. I grew up right on the Canadian border, and I have wonderful memories of sitting out on the front steps watching the green glow of the northern lights as a kid. 🥰 It wasn't a frequent occurrence, but it sure was lovely.
@@tinyworldsofwonder ok, I’m coming to Montana and you’re taking me to the northern lights ok? We need a northern lights retreat 😍😍 Seeing them in person is on my bucket list!
Very informative, thank you! Have a wonderful day and stay safe!
Thanks so much, Dorothy! You as well! Thanks for hanging out! :)
Your intros are so sweet!! Thankyou!!
Love the color coordination in this video. :) As always your explanations are outstanding-truly a teacher at heart!
Thanks so much! I had fun with that part. 😂 Thanks very much for your kind encouragement!

Thank you for your thoughts and advice on square vs. round.
My pleasure, Helen! I hope you're doing well and having a great summer!
@@tinyworldsofwonder Thank you. So far so good for this summer, but it is going by too fast. I hope your heatwave has ended.
Thanks for the helpful comparison on round vs. square drills. I am a round drill girl. 💜
My pleasure, Laura!! I hope things are going well for you. Is it roasting hot there? I love both at various times, but I LOVE how fast rounds are! :)

Thanks so much!! ❤️ As long as the canvas is large enough to for good resolution I would think J Wall canvases would be lovely in rounds!! 😀

My pleasure! I don't have a video about this yet, but I can add it to my request list! Great suggestion! :)
I have done several of both. I have been leaning more and more to square. Squares fill the entire canvas, and the pictures just look better.
I really enjoy the look of squares. For some reason I seem to be doing a lot of rounds lately, but I think it's just the "luck of the draw." My completed square drill canvases are my favorite. :)

My pleasure, Diane! They are easier - I agree, and in so many ways less fussy and much faster! :)
Lovely
