Lee, I own a 2021 CRF450RWE also. My bike had the exact same issue. It is a bad injector. Honda received a bad batch of injectors. Honda is now well aware of this issue. They will pay for the part and labor at the dealer. Do NOT try to fix yourself or Honda will NOT pay for it!
@@leethomson921 hey was wondering what the last 4 of the vin on your bike is?? I have 0064 coming still not here. American Honda says 1 to 2 more months. I'm wondering because I'm trying to track the bad injector situation. Just wanted to know even if its a lower or higher number is fine. Is it the first 40 or 50??? Wondering if there not letting them out because of this. Been waiting since middle of December. This sucks so bad. My dealer said it would be in for sure by last week.
So my cousin got his today vin 0403 and he ordered his 3 weeks after I did. Obviously something is wrong. They always release them in numerical order. So confused
Lee, rode my 21 finally. The chassis suspension and braking set up is amazing. The engine on the other hand is a big pile of shit. The bog on the low end is so bad bad that it makes it hard to ride. It is so rich I fouled a plug while riding. For the first time ever I feel stupid for even buying a honda. Will not wheelie past third gear not enough power. Map 1 and 2 are extremely bad on the low end. I jumped on my buddies 05 crf450r and rode wheelies for days. I rode my old 2012 crf450r and did the same. Was your bike the same before the reflash?? So bummed.
my 22 250r just did the same thing, i unplugged the kill switch and it ran fine for about an hour. then i shut it off, and it just did not start after that. now i cant hear the fuel pump prime, so i guess it is the fuel pump. did you ever figure out what happend to yours?
After you swapped the injector it fired up? Im having the same no start on my '23, but ive checked everything i can possibly think of (intake, fuel, valve clearance/compression, spark output, timing) and ive killed three batteries and it still won't fire
@@jamesjackson1372 yes! It ended up being a worn spot in the cylinder just below midpoint, so the bike wouldn't build compression until halfway up the stroke. That's why I was getting a good reading but no start. I had to drain the fuel system after the new cylinder and piston but once I did she fired right up
My fuel guy recommended me to run a mix of 91-98 with a race fuel mixture. Said it’s better than vp cuz the lead in the fuel can gunk up your sensors. Won’t be 110 but I mix 105-107 and it runs great no issues with the lead
Lee, I have a question regarding your suspension. My understanding is these bikes already the suspension upgrade with the A-Kit which is a $2,400 suspension kit if you were to buy it. I use Factory Connection also. I'm curious what valving you had put in or why? The A-Kit is supposed to be the closest to the factory riders race suspension you can get. I was going to send mine out also until I found out about the A-Kit. Now I'm just trying to gather info and feedback. I'm a pretty solid B-rider and I will change the springs to match my weight for sure. Thanks for your thoughts, Terry
I know they changed some calving for me and and spring weights because I’m really light right now , but honestly I didn’t get a full list of what they done I just dropped it off and told them I need it to be 100% for my weight and I told them some handling problems I had with it and they just busted out the work for me , it’s all too if the line products in it just not 100% the specifics , I spoke to 4 or 5 different head guys at factory connections and honestly they helped me out so much with what I was feeling and all kinds man just give them a call and they can set you up with what you want to keep or swap and give you good information too on what each thing does
Anytime hopefully it kinda helped , I felt the stick stuff was good but the bike didn’t even know I was on it so it kinda bucked me around but other than that it was great , I can’t wait to try they new stuff , hopefully have a video on the new stuff next week once the bike will start again 😂
ttm3311 I assure you there is no A-Kit suspension in the works edition. All it has is the coatings. Get it revalved. I have the 21 works bike and the valving is horrible. I am sending mine out to JBI to get heavier springs and revalved. They will also hard anodize the axle lugs black.
No I just sent it straight to twisted because when I sent it Honda didn’t have the fix and didn’t know how long it would be but honestly I’m happy I sent mine because this bike is unreal

Lee, It's NOT the ECU! My dealer changed out my ECU with another 2021 CRF450RWE and my ECU ran perfect in that bike. I promise you, it's the injector.

It was a mapping problem not a plug problem

Honda
2018 and it starts when i play with the kill switch
