On the MagicQ Magic (Not basic) dongle, is there any Limitations besides it saying Demo Mode? Can you save shows normally and is there no time Limit as in Basic?
There is no limitation in the output time, though being in demo mode restricts a few features for example: Chapter 3.7 here lists what these are: secure.chamsys.co.uk/help/documentation/magicq/pc.html
Im having a very hard time with this software, im trying to add only 2 moving heads and control them, i didnt find any tutorial to do this simple thing, all tutorials start from an advanced position, please make a tutorial to start from scratch
Hi Mike, The next tutorials in this playlist go through how to patch fixtures and control them. If you are getting stuck at a particular point you can book a 20 min crash course with one of our trainers here: go.oncehub.com/Chamsysusaofficehours&thm=blue&bt=1
If I purchase a 6 universe console from chamsys can I output all 6 universe's out of ArtNet/Scacn and opt to not use the standard DMX outputs from the back?
Hello. How can I record layout on some key on MQ500M console? I know It can be assigned under exec buttons, but can I record layout under F1, F2, F3 buttons?
Absolutely - on the console connect USB Drive, under Setup > View Settings, press 'backup to USB' to store the show file on your USB drive. Then connect the USB drive to your PC. Run MagicQ PC, under the top left 'file' menu, select 'open show folder' and copy the show file from your USB to this folder. You can then use 'load show' in the setup window to load your show file.
en español no todos sabemos ingles pero si todos estamos interesados deberian de ser mas flexibles en esa parte muchos queremos aprender pero no todos se nos da otros idiomas
This is beginning from way too advanced of a position. I’ve owned other lights for 15 years and used DMX but this is a whole extra level, and doesn’t really give a good starting reference
Really really useful and clear 10/10
Many thanks in advance... regards from Puebla - México...

For our MagicDMX USB-DMX Interfaces these are plug and play, no driver installation required.

If I purchase a 6 universe console from chamsys can I output all 6 universe's out of ArtNet/Scacn and opt to not use the standard DMX outputs from the back?
Absolutely - all universes can be sent via Artnet/sACN instead of any direct dmx ports.
@@ChamSysLtd Perfect! Thank you for the swift response!
Before I crash course this... Can I use at least 1 universe with ArtNet output in Demo mode?
You can indeed - in fact 64 universes fully enabled for output via Artnet.
@@ChamSysLtd nice!
If I buy two Magic DMX dongles, and connect each one to PC, will I be able to have 2 universes as outputs?
Only 1 MagicDMX is supported per system. For further output an Art-net/sACN node should be used.
Hi all. Who uses a touch tablet like microsoft surface pro (3), how does it work with MagicQ?
Yes, long as its running full windows is fine (not S mode). Using touch screen will work with MagicQ no problem.
I don't have a menu bar please help: figured it out I was in magiq playback not full software
No problem, glad you got sorted!
Can this work with the Chauve DMX-AN 2
Yes this works with the Chauvet DMX AN-2.
Hello. How can I record layout on some key on MQ500M console? I know It can be assigned under exec buttons, but can I record layout under F1, F2, F3 buttons?
Yes you can. In the Macro window, create a macro using 'inbuilt macro's' for layout 1,2,3, then assign these macro's to the F1, F2 and F3 keys.
@@ChamSysLtd Perfect. Thank You.

We are working on an Intro to Lighting series, which explains some of the basic terminology and process uses and hope to have this available soon.
