  • Today we begin the MLB The Show 24 Franchise with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cards are far from being one of the weakest teams in baseball, but they do have one of the most uncertain future. This is an experienced team and one of the oldest in the MLB. Every starting pitcher is at least 32 years old. The best two position players have over 10 years experience. The Cardinals will have to rebuild this organization regardless of their success in the near future. I'm excited to work on restoring this franchise to a championship standard that they have not seen in the last decade.
On my MrHurriicaneLP channel I make sports gaming lets play series. My series focus on building teams and players from sports like baseball and football. I play games such as Madden 24, NCAA Football 14, MLB The Show 24 and more.

Victor Scott is probably the most unlikely hero of this whole season but also shows why patience with prospects pays off. Absolutely love this series

Jordan Lawler makes a lot of sense for this Cardinals team. Just sayin😉
Could move Winn to 2B and let Tommy go/trade him at the deadline. Winn could also be the Nolan replacement at 3rd if you were able to get Lawler.

27:27 Evidently, Lawlar heard your remarks about his obsolescence and opted to spend the next ten minutes of runtime raging against the futility of it all in response. Between that and the well-timed Mariners trade offer, you might just wanna make sure the game's not tapping into your mic. :P
    Fun episode, I'd say!

Definitely dip into the market for a Righty. Need to mix that bench up somehow too. See if some AAA guys can do it for a month before a Trade Deadline splash on offense

Lars is regressing because he’s hat his potential. He’s probably and 86 or 87 potential

We for sure need to trade for a couple relievers at the deadline but there is another trade I would keep in mind for later, maybe in the offseason. Depending on how long Bichette is under contract with the dbacks, I would be interested in potentially doing a prospect swap for one of Lawler or Tommy Troy if they can’t find a spot in the Arizona lineup. If Bichette is signed long term (5+ years) there will be very little space for Troy/Lawler. We have an abundance of pitching prospects so I wouldn’t be against doing a swap of a guy like Roby for Troy/Lawler, especially if the Wynn experiment doesn’t work out great this year

    • @brycenhenry9905

Even if Wynn does. Martinez might not and there’s a need at second base too

Be careful taking Donavan out of a STAR role tho. He’ll need to hit 1st, 3rd or 4th in the lineup to keep it

@@MrHurriicaneLP I always assumed their happiness rating makes them perform better or worse but ig I’ve never seen proof it matters lol. Position in the lineup and not platooning are the biggest things to change a players happiness level

From what I've seen rating are affected by morale.
You see boosts or negatives if they re getting their expectations met.

@@RobertMessenger91 maybe a player like Donavon wouldn’t be as affected bc of his high Contact rating then? But it could give a nice boost to Scott’s exit velocity?

    • @StateoftheFranchiseGaming
      @StateoftheFranchiseGaming 2 месяца назад +1

Morale has not been affected by any of the contract roles, money or anything else since MLB 20. Where you place him in the lineup doesn't matter at all even if contracted to be something different from where the old morale system implied would be best.

12:26 Scott has been my guy I've been commenting & rooting for this whole series with his green and blue bars. Leadoff may not be the best spot in the order for him at this point of his career, but definitely if he progresses his contact in the future it's perfect.

Trade for Lawler, and trade away Edman. Much better and cheaper for you long term. Also, I know you normally don’t change a player’s secondary position, but Winn would actually be the perfect replacement for Arenado long term with his super strong arm. Keep up the incredible videos!!!!
