- Today we begin the MLB The Show 24 Franchise with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cards are far from being one of the weakest teams in baseball, but they do have one of the most uncertain future. This is an experienced team and one of the oldest in the MLB. Every starting pitcher is at least 32 years old. The best two position players have over 10 years experience. The Cardinals will have to rebuild this organization regardless of their success in the near future. I'm excited to work on restoring this franchise to a championship standard that they have not seen in the last decade.

What a game and what a finish. Midseason baseball at its best. I thought it would take a long time for me to love this series as much as the A's, yet here we are. And all the 'characters' aren't even here yet! Takes me back to fervently waiting for Chargers videos to drop. Keep it coming Cane!

If you're going to try to steal third, do it with one out. Never want to make the first or third out at third, but the potential value of being on third vs. second base is greatest with one out.
Stassi reminds me of my nemisis Kyle Higashioka. In every version of the show he is a .180 hitter when he faces me. Yet he has many two hit games vs me even if the rest of the team is not hitting. Last game I faced him he was on the Yankees still and hit a HR farther than Judge did vs me.
In order to get the most out of scouting you should really put individual prospects to the left of any position/discovery scouts for that week. The further left they are the more interest they gain.
On the topic of gaining interest, you can adjust your “positional needs” every week to further increase the interest gained for the positions you’re scouting that week.
Calderon looks like a great pick if you get there. I know through my saves, if the offence is great and the pitching lags behind it costs you. Missed out on numerous wildcard/division titles just due to a couple blowouts.

Cane, when your stealing a base. Point the right stick to the right and the player will slide away from the tag and will increase your success a hell of a lot.
Pitcher stamina in game really needs to be boosted, and is the one area I think sliders should be tinkered with. Abbott doesn't go the deepest into games IRL, but he shouldn't have been running out of gas at 60 while he was ending every inning extremely quickly.
Don't get me started on starting pitchers out of the bullpen. Dude will have 75 stamina but get gassed after 30 pitches

I think Chad Prince looks like a really good option for the 3rd round. His potential might be low, but he should come in as a solid on base guy with really good fielding and a great arm

What’s the point of stealing 3rd with two outs? Scott scores from 2nd scores on a single anyway and there is no chance of a sacrifice fly with two outs so there’s pretty much no point in stealing 3rd there

Abbot is the type of pitcher I struggle against. Lots of off speed and a slow fast ball. Give me a high 90's guy any day over a soft tosser.
