- Today we begin the MLB The Show 24 Franchise with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cards are far from being one of the weakest teams in baseball, but they do have one of the most uncertain future. This is an experienced team and one of the oldest in the MLB. Every starting pitcher is at least 32 years old. The best two position players have over 10 years experience. The Cardinals will have to rebuild this organization regardless of their success in the near future. I'm excited to work on restoring this franchise to a championship standard that they have not seen in the last decade.

That was one of the greatest baseball games (both real life & The Show) I've ever watched. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the game. Thank you for all the work you've put into this franchise series and the others that you've done. I've been binge watching your A's and Broncos franchises. Both are excellent. Keep up the great work!

Ranger Suarez has a really fun career journey. He started out in the Phillies bullpen pitching in blowouts and uncompetitive spots, then got so good he became the setup man, then the closer... And then they decided to make him a starter. All of that happened in the same season.
He went from Griffin Jax, to Yennier Cano, to Josh Hader, to Sonny Gray all in one season.

I've just turned off "throw canceling" for the exact situations you've run into with the slow animations leading to hitting the button twice. This happens way more than needing to throw cancel, especially against the CPU. I've never regretted it
Having said that, truly a September classic and an epic game. Looking forward to the off-season now!

One of the best games we’ve seen in your mlb franchises by far. For the offseason and going into next year I would keep kopech since he has A potential as a reliever and I would not count on mason wynn, roby and hence to be factors for next year they need to develop more in AAA and keeping them in the majors at low 70s won’t do much good. Pumped for the offseason!!!

I played against Jeff Hoffman in high school. He played for Shaker in NY. Dude struck me out 4 times out of 4 PA's. Not even gonna false brag. Dude had insane stuff (I graduated in 2011)

On the entertainment via Wikipedia page things, my friends and I have a group chat where we named WRs from 2010-2015 and went until we ran out of names. Took the 3 of us almost 2 hours to run out of names. We named guys like Jordan Shipley, Albert Wilson, Donnie Avery, and Jericho Cotchery. Great time

But I'm fairly sure that pitchers from your starting rotation can come off the bench if necessary? Correct me if I'm wrong. Obviously this is a major detriment to your rotation during the (potential) next series, but better than being knocked out cuz you're running your worst pitchers ragged.
EDIT 2: What an amazing game! Instant channel classic and so fun to watch. This wildcard series proved what we knew: the pitching staff is great (but maybe overperforming this year?), but the offense needs work. There's pieces there, but 6 runs over a best-of-3 series in the playoffs is NOT good enough. The pitchers and defense showed out during this 15 inning grind, but the bats did not. That's what we need.
Man kopech being a lone man on an island in the dugout, hasn’t made an appearance in the playoffs, just waiting for an opportunity, and cane is leaving him as the very very last resort pitcher 😂😂😂

I always check the exit velos to not get fooled. 85 and 87, those had a chance of going out if they were hit at or pretty near the foul pole. If not they need at least 92-3 or a little less with a good launch angle

For hitting, you might wanna try and zoom in your camera just a bit. You can make a custom camera and start with the camera you’re using as the base, then just zoom in a tad so you can get a better look at the pitch. Me personally as a viewer, my experience won’t be ruined because I can’t see a foot above the batter’s head

Great game and series I think you should try playing more small ball when your struggling to get runners on base and in a deciding game use starters and relievers

A nail-biter right to the end! The Cards were one pitch away at one point but you never know what can happen. With some more talent in pitching and more RBI's this team could be Pennant bound next season!
Masyn Winn is a superstar level talent and it's sad he doesn't really factor in here because his ratings are lower than they should be.

What a game! Have to think it was a mistake not walking Harper though in that position. Come back stronger next year! I think it would make sense to make Walker's primary position 1B since he's played almost 2 full seasons there now

I definitely think that the team should look to bring back Steven Matz, because I do not think that all three top pitching prospects will be guaranteed to be ready, he should be pretty cheap and likely only for one more year. Then, I think it would be smart to look to free agency for a guy who could slot in at either long relief or a 5th starter position, if one or two of the prospects do struggle in spring training or to start the season. You do not want to be in a situation where you have to keep a struggling young pitcher up in the majors because they're just are no options other than a bad free agent or waiver guy. Even if it's just someone like Kyle Gibson was this year.
Otherwise, bench power bat would be good for this team.
So I was thinking there are some plays that are more difficult for Gorman at 2nd maybe you could go Donovan at 2nd. Winn at SS move Edmond to the outfield with Nootbar and Scott/Carlson then you can have Gorman as DH and have Gorman train his fielding until it gets better.

3. Arenado seems washed. Couldnt get that Rojas catch over the fence and @ 36:34 almost hit into a triple play. I think a sacrifice bunt with a guy that hasnt got a postseason hit yet, possibly moving runners at 1st/2nd with no outs both into scoring position in a tie ball game in extra innings could have worked well
4. Pitching overall was good except a few spots especially the Harper solo in the 13th just can’t happen I dont care who’s batting
5. Bottom line my opinion is, out with most of the older players ur on the fence about, and in with the new blood and continue to build the farm. Sprinkle in plenty of vets for leadership/mentorship etc, and see what the new blood has

Depending on how good the game is there are many things I want to do. I'd like to do a Raiders style series as that would be a totally new thing for me in CFB. I also want to look at Road to Glory and do more prequels for great players from past games.
