I love my Corsair as well. It gets a lot of hate now because it is so popular. I worry about it in 4.0 when they introduce armor though. Everything I read about Drake ships says they have thin hulls and not much armor. I’m wondering if the Drake ships are going to get a big nerf compared to other ships and not get much armor. Interesting build. I guess the all deadbolts is min/max right now but I keep at least 2 size 5’s as laser cannons along with the size 4’s. I like having some firepower with unlimited ammo just in case. Nothing worse then not being able to loot cargo because you don’t have enough ammo to clear out the last ship or two in an encounter. Plus you can string missions more. I use the laser cannons primarily and use the deadbolts only on targets I need them for. Gets a lot more time out in space without having to rearm.
Corsair almost feels like an endgame ship for a solo player. For pure utility (PvE bounties, hauling, bunkers) what ship is really superior? If you like the aesthetics, even better! Also glad to see components persist like that!
many people over think the enginering gameplay but many large ships too can soloable, what is the reason ? easy cig many time say enginering like the real life car owning, u no need to know how can do it, just some time need to go in garage and npc do what the ship need... when combat hawe big big and hard interior problems? this batle already losed... if interior hardly burning and inside modules start to die , u think crew can repair fast enught ? faster than space fight going ? nah... forgot about that.. (like real life batle ship batles, 90% 'enginering' gameplay after the batle if survived, soo many task can be do soloable in larger ships too, not need forgot about npc crew and automated turets posiblities... soo no need to wory, the 'soloable' endgame ship can be capital too, just for pvp not always the best option (but posible when enemy player not hawe enught skil and pew pew force i do many pvp bh mission with stealed npc hammerhead , full npc crew easy overhelm other player bh targets ) but pve, easy for many large/capital if the pve no need more (like wandul space hardcore pve batle to can be need more ship and more player soon )
Yeah corsair is one of the best. Corsair and Andromeda are my daily driver. Although its much easier to do ert and vhrt with corsair I prefer andromeda. Its easier to loot cargo with Andromeda since all I have to do is point ship at cargo bay and its done while in corsair I have to maneuver a bit to exactly aline its back side to cargo bay of ship I want to loot. Edit: also the wings get easily ripped off if you're not careful during combat or flying around asteroids.

CIG just fucked over Corsair owners. They're gonna change 2s5 pilot weapons to be controlled by the co-pilot; who is already in control of the remote turret. Keep this in mind before choosing. If this stupid change actually goes through, the Connie is literally better in every way.

Been using my Corsair for top tier Vaughn missions. LOVE IT. 4 size 5 Deadbolts and 2 size 4 lasers. I keept full deathing my targets on accident with all deadbolts. Also I was running out of ammo. With the 2 lasers, I at least never run out of ammo.
I have my fold/unfold wings keybinded along with the landing gear in a button in my joystick. Does it happen to you that sometimes the wings don't fold or unfold? this is driving me crazy.
@@TheCoreGameplay I really don't know why that happens. I just set my joystick button with the ALT+K and N keybinds. Sometimes it happens during landing, sometimes during take off.
To scan you press V and hold in click while hovering over the ship, after killing a target, I retarget by pressing T and then Alt + 1 to put a number next to them. It allows me to keep the target on my screen to find them easier for later.
I'm happy that I could show you some things. I don't have a org because I feel like there is too little to do for orgs at the moment but maybe one day I'll open one
I had a Corsair for a while, it was the ship I hated to like. The weird shape and layout, and that Drake look doesn't do it for me. It is the most functional ships in its class, with functional weapons racks, storage & components. If all those things worked right in the Constellation I'd prefer that. The hot key is a really good idea for wings + landing gear. I have a couple of programmable macro keys on my keyboard, if I get another Corsair I'd probably do that.
I gave up on it a long time ago. Pretty much lose that big wing every time I take it into battle. No thank you, Corsair :). Connie is way better, though they need to fix when you bring a rover etc up in teh cargo deck. Bounces around waaaayyyyy to scary!
thing is the corsair is a great solo ship but it isnt better when it comes to a big fleet unless you want to constantly fly many corsair with refueling stations as it cannot really fit on carriers.
Just reduce the size of the guns no need to do stupid things like that. Co-pilot got his turret. That thing will never get used because the front facing guns will be better than turret

Careful new buyers. A new nerf leaked and CIG may remove 2 of the size 5 guns and make them slaved only to the co-pilot.

These 2 ships appeal to the last 2 generations of kids. They don’t play well together and like to play themselves because of a lack of social skills.

This combined with my Nursa is a OP build. I through an 8 SCU and 2 SCU container in the cargo hold and I can run bunkers all day, LOVE THIS SHIP!!

There's a lot of different ways to build the corsair and I love it. I'm really slow with my shots sometimes because I don't want to blow up my target😅
The best ship, does everything. Engineering without NPCs is going to be a pain for anything bigger than small fighters.

You said you will quickly " MARK IT " How do you mark a ship. I disable them but cant find them after. Could you explain how you Mark a kill.
Target ship again then just press Alt + 1,2,3 it will add a little number next to their name keeping them on your screen

Mine works every time, I did put a delay between button presses for my mouse button so maybe that's the problem
