I’ve ran a similar deck with 2 of all: Alakazam line Weezing Line Sabrina Koga Oak Pokeball 1 Potion 1 X speed It feels great against Mewtwo and a lot of other Meta picks, though it does struggle with some off meta picks, specifically Starmie and Blaine decks. It can get a little off against Mewtwo decks, because they use two of their energies with the big attack, so they can one shot you if they have a Gardevoir, but you don’t one shot them with 2 energy. With a little bit of Weezing chip you still have a great match-up. Charizard can be the same story, but they usually over-juice Charizard with Moltres, so it’s not always an issue.
@ I could see switching out an X-Speed or a potion for a Giovanni, Koga functions like both an X-Speed and a super potion for Weezing only, so switching one of them for a little bit of extra damage could be beneficial. Probably X-Speed if anything.
I fully agree, but for some reason, this had worked wonders for me, my win rate against Mewtwo decks was super high. I was surprised because I don't really like to use more than 2 different Evo lines.
@@ShiranaSparrow In most cases, you should run 2 copies of all Pokemon that are core to your strategy. If you want a dark deck, 2 Weezing Line and 2 Muk, Arbok, or Golbat Lines are all good choices. In a mixed deck like this, you’d want two Weezing line and two Alakazam line. Golbat would also be a decent pair, as it only needs colorless energy, so you could go 100% psychic energy with Alakazam. Some notable exceptions to the 2 of every pokemon rule are Baby Mewtwo in a Mewtwo/Gardevoir Deck, a Single Growlithe in a mixed Charizard/Arcanine/Moltres Deck. I’ve also seen people run a single Ralts in a Mewtwo deck, but I don’t recommend this. Also, any non-evo Basic is ok to run at a single copy, like Kangaskhan, Jynx, or Pincurchin in the right deck.
love still beating the dark type decks with my mewtwo+gardevoir deck
Beating with a disadvantage is such a great feeling!
Definitely gonna use this! I hate going against mewtwo+gardivor decks 🥳
Let me know how it goes :)
