I kind of did something like this . I start a miscellaneous journal ,where i study different topics such as angels,or the Holy Spirit . And it’s all compiled in one journal so i can always go back and read the information all in one place .
I love that what a wonderful idea! I’m always looking for different study topics; I appreciate hearing your examples:). Thank you for sharing and watching the video:) have a blessed day! 🌻🧡
I purchased the Illustrated Bible for the same reasons lol. I write big, I scatter write..some prayers, some things I’ve read and some things I’ve heard. I also wanted somewhere to be creative. I have a large print Bible I take with me and read from (too old for the small print). Thanks for sharing!
That’s a great point! It does have the potential; especially if people are passionate about certain subjects or themes etc. Thanks for sharing and stopping by!🌻🙏🏼✝️
Great idea! As someone already said it’s just like Jonathan Edwards Miscellanies. I discovered his miscellanies a few years ago and have the same color notebook as you that I use for mine! ☺️ Got it at Michaels. But I also use my ESV journaling Bible for notes too.
I definitely need to check out Jonathan does he have a channel on You Tube? Also aren’t those notebooks so handy? So glad you found a system that works for you thank you for sharing and checking us out! 🧡🥰🧡🌻 God Bless you!
The technique you’ve mentioned is called miscellanies - I believe that Jonathan Edwards had something like 1,500 notes compiled in random notebooks. I love what you’ve done, I’ve seen some videos on it but couldn’t see how it would work, but you sharing how you’ve been working it has inspired me :) thank you.
Glad you found it helpful! ❤thank you for sharing the official terminology for this process as well:) good luck with trying it out I hope it works for you too!
This is great! I had decided to perhaps just start taping/gluing in extra pages of notes as I needed...making some fold down/out. It's funny how we often do the same things as others without ever knowing someone coined a term for it. I had started 'Bible mapping' without thinking anyone else was doing it, let alone named it. Lol
I’m the same. But didn’t think of adding vol & pg number to my Bible to reference later!! (I’m just now starting to be able to write in my Bible. Was thought to never write in books so it’s taken some time unlearning 😊.) Thank you for sharing!!
Same! I did make a few wee notes years ago in mine, but it felt like I was defacing God's word. Now I am going overboard by coloring in mine and gluing in extra pages for notes! Oh, and stickers!
@@graceandtruth4806 I can tell you o already do. I am able to link sermon notes and notes from my Bible studying and it is so amazing. I always kept notebooks with sermon/Bible notes but just NEVER thought to label them and reference them in this manner. Such a simple thing but def overlooked
loved this video, I have several journals full of chapter notes, things I've picked up from other speakers, times the Holy Spirit has given me a verse , prayers, all sorts of stuff, I think I keep them pretty organised, but this study bible with all that room is ideal. Thank you for this video. New Subscriber.
I started note-taking similar to this last year. On volume 2 and about half way through the book. I don’t have a note taking bible, I have a study Bible, which is ok b/c I love the commentary. But using notebooks like that has developed my note taking skills and organization to a higher level.
Just ran across your video can you tell me the name of your bible is and where did you get it from??Really love your channel thanks for sharing, may God bless you.
Sure can and thank you so much! 🤗🌻🙏🏼 the Bible is by Dayspring and it’s the Illustrating Bible. It is large and not very travel friendly but great for extensive note taking etc. thanks for stopping by!
I love this, I sighed when I saw the ringlet Bible too becuase my Bible's spine is breaking and I'm not fully through my Bible yet But love taking it everywhere. Could you tell us where you got the ringlet Bible? Love the Volume system too And I will definitely be doing this
That’s so sad about the spine! I have a smaller bible and that spine has wear and tear issues too. I know you can re-bind bibles for a cost and I may do that some day. This ringlet bible is from Dayspring:). So glad you enjoyed the volume system!! God’s blessings to your studies !🙏🏼🌻🧡
I wanted to do the same but I worry about losing the journal with all the notes. Than I'll have the little number ICon in my Bible for no reason. Have you came up with a solution for this problem. If so I'll totally be grateful to you. I love this idea my brain works the same way I just worry about the extra book 🤔
Great question!!! I think the key to this it to have an awesome storage system. My go to “rule” is to keep my current years notes easily accessible in order by volume # on a bookshelf; and store the previous volumes in storage containers or some other bookshelf etc with a label on the container as to what volumes are in the tub. (Example container/ shelf 1 is vol 1-20; Container 2 is 21-50). You could also do a spreadsheet of your index pages etc for super quick access but I am not that organized 😂😂😂 Good luck!!🌻🧡also so glad to hear your brain functions similarly 😂 it’s a blessing and also kinda wonky sometimes lolol!
I am scared of this as well. I really want to organize my notes this way but then I am what if I lose my notebook, or what if it gets damaged, I went through a tornado ones and it damagesd all my notebooks then I would have numbers in my bible without notes. I was thinking maybe to set an online journal up and have the extra notes online, than I will have them always with me as well. Maybe an idea :D
This looks like an. awesome system which I think I will start to use right away BUT I do have a question - if you have more notes to take and that pagein volume 1is full, is that where you move over to volume 2?
I think I understand the question. Yes you move to Volume 2; so your Code in the Bible would have two notations… example: Vol 1 pg 150; Vol 2 pg 1. I hope that helps! 🌻🧡🙏🏼
Another question. I am using a composition notebook and my first note only filled a small portion of the page. Now, I want to add another note from a different book of the bible - no problem, except how do I notate the index because page one already show Romans and now I am in Numbers... Sorry to keep asking questions!
I absolutely love this system!! This was so great to watch, and I wish I was this organized. I want to get better at that, and this was really inspiring. 🩷🩷
Crazy, you ask? Crazy Good! This is a game changer for my Bible study! You are crazy good with organizational tips! 💗
I’m so glad it was helpful to you!😘🌼🌻 thanks for watching!!🙏🏼

Love it! I might go back and do this--I have sooooo many notebooks with notes randomly lol Thanks for the idea!
You’re welcome! I had to go backwards too. It took a bit but once it was done I was super happy about it!:) best of luck!🌻🧡
That is so smart!! I do the same thing with basically writing notes in a notebook!! I am going to implement this. Thank you for this genius tip

I love this! I will have to stick with what I have though until finances loosen up a bit. Money too tight for me. Good job!❤
I did that too; held off on getting the Bible for a year before I purchased it. Budgeting is being a good steward of God’s blessings!! 🌻🥰🧡
Thank you for sharing this great idea! You need to put a title on the front of your notebook using your beautiful writing! (markers or paint!)
I love that idea thank you so much!❤
Reminds me of Johnathan Edwards Miscellanies notebook system
I am not familiar thanks for making that correlation:) have a great day! 🌻🧡
