- In this video I give a review of the #adidas Duramo Lightstrike shoe and I talk about the most important aspects of a shoe review. I talk about this shoe as the best budget shoe or entry level shoe to running.
I mention James Nielsen from @movemorenowjames as one of my favourite shoe reviewers.

Love how you keep it real and relatable, especially with the sneaky car backup shoe trick. It's refreshing to see someone emphasize personal experience over "scientific" claims in reviews. Your mix of practical tips and personal insights makes choosing the next pair less about the specs and more about the feels. Thanks for the review, Neil!
I picked up the Duramo Speed’s after watching your reviews, and I couldn’t be happier. Just under 100 miles in, and they’re fantastic for my easy runs. And for $34!
Great to hear. Thanks for watching. 💪
Great stuff Neil. Sound like a super budget pair of shoes mate. I think I remember you spoke about them a while back. Glad to hear you're still loving them. That says that they must be good. 😎🤘
They get the job done mate and they feel good. A nice solid shoe. 💪
I watched your previous review of the Duramo Speed and you helped convince me to get a pair for my recovery miles. I wanted something on the firmer side and I think it has been serving me well so far. I use the Boston 12 for my long runs. The Duramo Speed isn't quite as firm feeling as the Boston 12 but gets the job done and was available at a great price point for what I wanted to use it for.
Glad to hear. I use New Balance on my long runs. I use the Duramo for midweek easy miles and the odd workout.
Heads up, the full name of the shoe is the ‘Duramo Speed’. There are other Duramo models, didn’t want that to be a point of confusion!
Yes I was confusing the name with the previous pair I had.
Duramo were my first ever trainers about 13 years ago. I had a ‘winter’ pair (chunkier grip) & a lighter grip ‘summer’ pair. £36.99 from sports direct 😁 I swapped out as I decided to try out other trainers. But for 5-6 years I got my moneys worth out of each pair I owned. They were really comfortable and I got a good 800/900 miles out of each pair.
Yeah they are a great show for midweek easy miles. This is my second pair and no complaints so far. Bloody shoes are getting so expensive now.
Never had the Duramos but love the Takumi SENs and the Adizero Pro 2s and 3s. As you say, we're all individuals and what works for one does not work for another. I have 3 or 4 RUclipsrs whose integrity I trust to tell it like it is when it comes to shoes. Others are sadly walking adverts who throw round a different pair of shoes each day with no real insights.
Yes I totally agree with you on the point about RUclipsrs. Anyway each to their own.
I’m running a half marathon in October would these be ok for that, at the moment I have some old new balance but they don’t have enough cushion for me,
I run 25km in these shoes every Sunday.
@@RunSensible oh amazing cheers mate
How does it feel on 5:30 min/km pace?
Feels great. Feels great at 4.30/kph too
Are they true to size?
I find them perfect.
