    You could put the seat on tracks so that it could move backwards when going downhill, forwards when going uphill. Then you could take it to one of those motorcycle meets where they try to climb really steep hills, lol. Great vid, ty!!!

    I enjoyed this a lot. Goin' to Mardi Gras by any chance? I'm sure the Laissez Boys would be impressed :)

    Just discovered your channel, amazing stuff. Id love to see some ROS implementation details, done as completely separate technical videos from the hi-production value 'eye candy'. There are tons of us out here with mini-spots, open dogs etc that we have working with teleops, but SLAM and autonomous operation is really hard to achieve (and ROS does not make it easy), such as you have.

      Could also swap services when we each need an extra camera guy or whatever. Would be cool to connect with more creators around here.

    Hi Dave, do you have any tutorials for robot vision? I just got my Xarm 6 and it came with a realsense camera.

    Did you end up actually using odometry from the zed as well? How/where did you combine it with the GPS?

    • @DavesArmoury
      @DavesArmoury  Год назад +1

      Yes, I mostly used the Zed odometry as it doesn't drift much, and when odometry would be terrible on this terrain. I fused the zed and gq7 odometry in an ekf for relative position

    5:31 what is the difference of "safety rated" and the one you're using? i'm guessing something like accuracy or response time of sensor?

    • @DavesArmoury

      A safety lidar will protect a known area with a hardware interlock. Objects of a known size will trigger a hardware output within a known time. All heavily quantified and can be relied on for safety.
      This laser has none of that hardware. It would require software analysis, which can't be guaranteed for safety
