I think I'm gonna invest in a platen cover and certainly will try this dtf hack. Smh, I haven't even unboxed my printer yet. (Shame, shame, shame) Thank you my sister!
Thanks for the great tutorials ! I do have a question: if you don’t have a clamshell press but have an easy press- how can I melt the powder? Can I still use this method?
I love your channel! At what temp did you set the powder with the heat press? Did you simply have the press on without it making contact with the powder? That part confused me.
Hi Delonda, I have watched your channel for awhile now and I love your tutorials. What is your opinion about selling shirts with the DTF hack? Would you feel confident selling them? I am wondering about the long-term quality of the shirt. I watched your wash test video and they seem to hold up. I would just like your opinion. Thank you! And Happy New Year 🎉
Hi there and Happy new Year to you also. I do think they have held up very well and I would sell them. I would also inform the customer that they should be able to expect good results within about 25 or so washes. I do feel that is fair; but I would also let them know about your recommendations for washing.
Hey Delonda I used your link to order the DTF film package (and it was $10 off!) and some DTF powder, cause I didn't know it's been almost two years since I last ordered some, LOL. Thanks Teacher D!!! 🥰 I Love My Crafting Journey!!!🥰💯🙌
Hi Delonda 🩷 my dtf package is arriving today, I can’t to try it out. I have a question about your Rhinestone T-Shirt. I have this pattern all ready to go. How far down from the collar did you press? 3 or 4 fingers down? I’m a little nervous but excited. Thank you.
Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family Delonda! Thank you for these great instructional videos! You’ve made me a better crafter and much more confident because I am creating awesome things! 🎉🥂🍾🎊
Happy New Year!! What is your opinion on the dtf products vs the other dtf products you have used in videos in the past? I purchased the other dtf products you used following your links and was curious about these new products and your thoughts :)
I honestly still love the other products and I have no intentions on stopping using them. What I like about this though is that the film is 8.5 x 11, and I have not had any problem getting the film to go through the printer without doing anything extra to the printer. I didn't have to change the settings and I also didn't have to add paper to the back tray.
Sheena just asked about washing. What are your recommendations for that? Can you machine wash and dry? General settings? Are there certain types of detergent you recommend or should avoid? I assume anything with bleach is a No No. Also how does washing the DTF hack designs compare to those done with sublimation on HTV? Sorry for so many questions. I'm just starting out and figure I can experiment with clothes for my grands b4 I think about selling. I want to make a product that will hold up to washing. Happy New Year Delonda...newbie to your channel and learning so much from you. 🤗🌻🪻

Hello Delonda! I have DTF film and powder and gave up trying due to the messy printouts. I am using my same sublimation settings. Is there a different one? I have an Epson ET 15000. Thank you
Hello Delonda. You hoodie came out really nice. I like it a lot. My question is, why didn't you have to put butcher paper inside of your hoodie and on top to protect your hoodie and heat press? Isn't this considered as sublimation too? Happy New Year to you and your family. 🎉
Thank you ❤️ I promise you ask the best questions. This is not true sublimation because the ink is on the film and it is not being absorbed at all. Also, after the powder is applied, the ink is absorbed there and it will prevent the ink from going into the fiber. Since this is a hack, the ink is not absorbed into the fiber. It's more on top. The purpose of this is to allow sublimation inknto be used on cotton and cotton blends.
