    I picked up the dual temp Ryobi a few weeks ago and I really like it. Maybe it’s just my luck but I’ve never needed the drip try even after a near hour of use it doesn’t drip. When I got the gun Ryobi was also running a hidden special buy for two of their brand new high performance 6AH batteries for $139. I run the glue gonna on that battery and even after an hour the battery shows full. The heat gun really likes that 6AH battery to. Awesome review, I love your channel keep up the great work!

      Same here, thats the one I ended up keeping. Thats defiantly a really good deal, Homedepot every now and then runs some good deals on Ryobi.
      Thanks! hopefully things pickup soon!

      As a reminder to anyone looking, I bought the basic single temp one and it's still a good tool, but wish I bought one with temp adjustment, also realized I might have been better with the compact after realizing the weight of the battery. Almost wonder if my Ryobi inverter would run a plug in iron- might be the best of both worlds. Experienced the same with my dremel type tools- I like the small size/wand setup of the 18v more than a cordless 12v/compact where they try to get it all in hand, but also makes me realize for some situations, corded on a semi portable power source works great for car work when buying another tool isn't an option. These days though cordless handheld tools are capable of more more or as much power as a 10amp 110v plug is which is crazy.

    The Ryobis can be bought at other locations than HD. Direct Tools sells factory reconditioned and factory blemished with warranty. There are also a lot of resale stores that sell the Ryobis. I just bought the P306 for $18, unopened package.

Old gun broke, bought a new Stanley---JUNK, hot glue came out of tip and where the stick enters the barrel at the same time then while still hot the glue at barrel entry would cure and could no longer pull trigger to advance the stick---sent it back got refund. Now considering the Bauer. Thanks again!!!👍

    I suspect the P305 will be discontinued in the near future. Also worth noting, the docking style of the small Ryobi means there is no downside to using a larger battery on it either, if anything it will only make the dock MORE stable.

    How is the weight and the precision on the glue? Sometimes I have to do small detail gluing. Are the guns actually bulky and heavy and awkward to get into small spces?

    • @Tools-Tested
      @Tools-Tested  2 года назад

      I found them easily to move around, but you are talking a lot more weight. Basically think of a corded gun + a drill battery. If your using a smaller gun then probably the small ryobi is best but it really depends on how much glue your projects take at a time because the gun will need to sit back on the stand to reheat up.
      Hope this helps
