Rubber Base Coat, BIAB 20 & Extreme Shine Top Coat from Www.thegelbottle.com
Cuticle Oil - www.cjpnailsystems.com
This was exactly what I needed to see for application. Thanks so much!
It should be illegal for you to have a natural apex like that :) Great video, thanks ! I find using a fine dotting tool or a detail brush after application will give you a closer cuticle /sidewall application but either way they look lovely
Sunnbuzz I may just try the dotting tool for closer cuticle application on some clients with awkward cuticles - Fab idea, thank you 😘 xx
Hi there! I've been watching your videos and they are FAB - Just what I needed. I just wanted to ask how you take off Gel Polish on top of BIAB as BIAB is a soak off... Do you just file the Gel Polish off or soak it? If you soak how o you do so without soaking the BIAB? x
Saranne Huxton Hi, I just file the colour off 💅🏻👌🏼 xx
Great video. Beautiful results 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Great video! What do you do to infill? File down then go over with colour and top coat again?
Wow just exactly what I’ve been looking for. Does this prevent even longer nails from breaking? Brilliant vid!
Warrendoe It can be used on longer nails yes, alot of my clients stay around the length in this video so have never really tested on longer length. If you build using the correct structure/apex then i cant see many problems occurring 😊
@@Sheffieldnails can you name the ratio of the word in correlation to the length? The longer there mail, at what point of the mail bed does the apex need to be?
Really good video. After applying, curing and filing the final coat of BIAB what do you use to cleanse the nail in prep for a top coat or gel colour. Also if you are going to apply gel colour do you cleanse then apply base coat, colour and top coat? Xxx
Amelia Gillespie I use acetone to cleanse the nail after filing ready for topcoat/gel colour.
Its not necessary to use a base coat before gel colour, just make sure there is a rough enough surface for the gel colour to adhere to.
If my application was good & no finish filing is required I will not bother cleansing, leave the tacky layer on & just go straight in with topcoat or gel colour. Hope this helps. Xx
I love this but I dont have a certification so im not sure how I could buy it 😭
Great job
I thought BIAB did not need a base gel? Only the clear.. Wrong information?
TheJadeExperience You can go straight in without the base if you prefer - I just prefer to use the base aswell - Never had any problems.
Hi, Can I apply a colour on top of biab or can I put a thin coat of rubber base then my chosen colour?Would I just remove as normal? Thanks😊
A.L videos B Hi 👋 Yes you can apply colour on top of BIAB - Remove as you would remove gel polish. Xx
Nails By Lisa
Thank you.. Which would you say is best under the gel colour ?.. Biab or rubber base & top? Just trying to find ways for gel to last longer. I love this product though x
I think it depends on the strength required by the client - I have a few clients who have BIAB With colour over & get good results from that whereas others just need rubber base with colour & get the strength they require from that & have no problems. Xx
You're not supposed to paint it on like gel polish, you apply it like you would gel from a pot. I love this product and its by far my favorite.
very helpful video does this color distort regular polish colors? is it best to just get clear if you want to top off with gel color?
Kia Stewart I’ve never used it over a gel colour - Always under.
I apply 2-3 coats of this BIAB then refine & file if necessary then go straight in with my gel colour then top coat. This product soaks off easily the same way you would with gel polish.
Once you have applied your top coat do you clean the nails with a peep&polish solution or just leave them?
Emma The topcoat I used was a non wipe so no need to cleanse afterwards but if your chosen topcoat requires it then wiping would be necessary. 😊
Nails By Lisa perfect! I use the same top coat so good to know it’s non wipe x
Are these easy to remove? Do you soak in Acetone and for how long? Lovely video.
Cheryl Oldford These are super easy to remove.
I wrap in foil with cotton pads soaked in acetone for approx 15 mins - comes off very easily & pretty much all in one piece so not much scraping.
Make sure you file the surface to remove any top gel before wrapping. Xx
Nails By Lisa thank you.
@@Sheffieldnails what grit and name brand nail filer do you recommend? Or do you use an electric?
Do you happen to also have the colour teddy? Wondered how they compared colour wise?
Katrianna Rezende Hi, Sorry i dont have Teddy - My clients prefer 20 & 18. I think theres loads of pictures & comparisons in The Gel Bottle facebook group though 👌🏼 xx
@@Sheffieldnails will look for the group! Thank you ☺️
How did you get that apex with just painting it like that 🙈
Hi, do you use the gelish lamp? Xxx
Studio Lou Hi, yes I use the Gelish lamp xx
Hi Lisa,
If i am not applying a colour, only the top coat. Do i still need to file the BIAB 20? IF i run out of top coat, would the BIAB 20 be non wipe as well if i was to finish off with it?
Karen CMBF Hi! If you’re happy with your application there is no need to finish file or refine, you can go ahead & apply topcoat.
BIAB does have a tacky layer so would definitely need a topcoat. Xx
Hi, so when infilling why do you use base, biab, top coat then refine but when it's just an all over nail overlay you refine after the biab? Good videos thank you x
Rose Norton Hi Rose, I dont always use the rubber top coat after applying Biab, I just find it gives me a little extra strength on my nails when i need it, its acetone resistant too so gives me that extra assurance that my nails wont get too ruined after using acetone when working on clients ect. Its not always necessary to use it if you dont need to. Hope this helps.xx
Hey! Thanks for the tutorial. just 1 question. What's the difference between rubber base and 2n1 base coat of this company?
The rubber base is thicker. You can use as a base coat for brittle nails. It is also rhe recommended base coat if you’re using TGB white and clear BIAB, and TGB Gel Pot.
The 2 in 1 is a base coat if you’re only doing gel polish application.
Does anyone know a dupe for Teddy? I can not purchase this line as I am not a professional
Could you just have put a top coat on without filling?
Maria Jackson Sure you can do that if your happy with your application 👌🏼
Is it not necessairy to build up the nails ? An apex? I now do gel and rubberbase.
Laura Ke If the length of the nail requires an apex then you can build one - I didnt bother as my nails were fairly short so i didnt feel it was necessary. X
Nails By Lisa ok thx I think I may buy 1 botlle off biab and give it a try . I do now gel and rubberbase but they say that biab is stronger than a normal rubberbase so that would be a positive point for me!
Hi Lisa when you apply the biab color how long do you cure it?
Hi there, i would cure for 60 seconds in my lamp 😊
@@Sheffieldnails thanks
Does the gel last up to 4 weeks as it claims?
Kimmiwin I’ve never had a client go past 3 weeks whilst wearing this gel as they’re nail biters & need regular maintenance. They’re always in good condition at 3 weeks though if thats any help? I wouldn’t recommend going 4 weeks though. Xx
Why BIAB and not just a normal gel colour??
It may depend on the condition of the nails, strength, length, client preference, etc.
Do you clean with alcohol prior to filing the BIAB?
airedale3 Acetone. Xx
I’m wanting to start doing gel nails , am I able to purchase these products easily also how did you start out doing nails :) xx
Rebecca Dabell You would need to have proof of training/qualifications to be able to purchase these products as they are for professional use only. I trained with Nail Harmony to gain my qualifications.
Not anymore. I'm a diyer and I purchased these items from thegelbottle.us
Hi Lisa ! Really helpful video just wondered I thought gel is sticky til
You have applied topcoat what do you use to remove any bits after filing the gel before top coat or colour ?
Isabella Paton Hey 👋 After filing i remove any dust by wiping over with acetone. I also remove the sticky layer with a quick wipe over with acetone before filing. Xx
rubbing alcohol
Hi there!!! Can you apply tips with this?
Yes you can just make sure everything is prep correctly
Is this good for growing your nails ?
DL 01xx Yes, it will provide strength & allow you to grow your natural nails. X
how long do you cure each layer?
Bindi Vishal 60 seconds
We only need to watch ONE nail, please
smd clara
You do not even say to cure for how long!111111
Clara Knott 1 min 17 seconds! Clearly says cure for 30 seconds!!!!! If you only want to see just one nail, then just watch one nail!! You’ve made the same comments before!
Don’t like the shape at all.
Dr Frankenstein Great, thanks!
Nails By Lisa I’m sorry. Sounded rude. X
Most annoying music ever.
Little Raven There should be a volume adjustment button on your device? If you turn it right down thats your problem solved!!
Hello . We ony need to see one finger or nail not five or ten
Clara Knott if you don’t like the video don’t watch it... I personally find it helpful to see the whole hand done but that’s my personal preference 🌟
Who does a nail tutorial of only one nail🧐🧐
That’s rude af to say. I mean you act like you ain’t know no better. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Kindness is always free. 🥰🥰🥰
