Welsh roads some questionable journalism and a little bit of french all thrown in.

Had a 106 rallye back when they were new.I recognise most of the roads being driven here.Great little car -revved like stink and handled really well.I was used to wild cammed minis at the time and this seemed refined and grown up by comparison.
Had a black s1 since 1997. Such a fun little car to drive, be great to B road it all the way to Wales for a blast about one weekend.

Looking forward to seeing this 205 Rallye where it should be flat out on the back lane 🤙🏻 I would love to see you keep the 1.4 engine in it and see how much extra power you can get out of it and maybe even running it on twin 40s😉 I’ve still got my white 205rallye in the garage which I used to use for road rally and tyre testing up at trawsfynydd 😋 back in the day. 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Yes you’re correct. The 106 rallye is a 1.3. But the yellow 205 Rallye is a 1.4 engine. 🤙🏻
@pauljones175 1.4 is not a real Rallye-I think you're thinking of the 205 an 85hp XS marketing ploy(still a good car but not a Rallye
Great idea , could you also go through the process of entering a Targa Rally , its something we would like to try out . Your videos are so informative with your rally knowledge.

My mate had a black s1 106 Rallye . Broke the shell landing off an humpback bridge. Written off. Price of them now o bet he wish he kept and repaired it.

First car I ever drove was a yellow 205 (a 1.1 GL though lol), in a field when I was 12. I've got a 208 GT arriving in a few weeks and I'm a bit emotional about it. Modern small Pugs are nothing like the 'proper' ones but what can you do? Great to see your little survivor and it needs to be rallied!

I owned both a mark 1 106 and a 306 Rallye. Great cars. Sadly, i rolled my 106. 😢

@@automaxwales will have to make the trip up, family of ours have a caravan in corris and I was in uni in aber so have plenty of reasons to make the trip!
