Karl is hands down my favourite human being. No matter what mood I might be in, listening to twaddle like this never fails to make me smile. The man genuinely just wants to be left alone at home doing DIY, and Ricky sends him around the world to get his head squoze, eating bollocks, whinging and moaning about not getting paid on time...It is hilarious.
very sorry to hear about all you've been through, but I can relate in my own small way. These old radio shows got me through some very hard and stressful times with my sanity (and humour) intact. Sometimes laughter really is the best medicine and with a sense of humour you can get through even the toughest of times :) Best of luck to you!
I have everything on MP3 saved...when the house is empty I put the guys on and the house doesn't feel so empty anymore. I left the room the other morning to make some eggs and heard Ricky's laugh from upstairs and it sounded like a hyena dying lol. I recall thinking, 'Jesus Christ the neighbors must think I'm a fucking mental case'.
What a strange relationship between these two alleged friends Ricky and Karl. Ricky puts a dirty bin on Karl's head, Karl is annoyed because he's got muck on himself and Ricky is annoyed because Karl being annoyed has spoiled Ricky's fun. Either Karl is the most passive man on the planet or he's playing a character because any normal person would have smashed Ricky years ago for all the abuse he's out him through for his own amusement.

I don't stare at a wall when I listen to these. I usually listen to them when I'm doing other things, or to fall asleep.
