I’m sure being raised by a real father instilled something in Cube that a lot us may lack. Got love for Pac but he moved emotionally and that’s a NO-NO in the field. Hence he chased power and protection from crew to crew eventually becoming a piñata on both coast. He was young and would have learned eventually but he was speeding and out of control. "Gimme the loot", "Warning", "Respect", and "Things done changed" were a few stand out songs that told stories from start to finish. Meanwhile, Cube's songs on his first 3 albums all told stories start to finish. Even his "Kill at Will" EP were 'start to finish' stories. Cube's stories were better & the beat was on the same message. He was teaching, educating & on top of street politics & not putting up with the white supremacists & police letting them know how it's gonna go down, with his music. Biggie was just rapping about some shit he did the other day in an entertaining way. Cube's songs Wicked, When will they shoot, Enemy, & The Bomb, are songs Black Americans need to listen to today. Also, Cube wrote & stared in classic movies, that told great stories.

Cube was rockin with P.E., then P.E., and Big Daddy K.A.N.E on Burn Hollywood Burn, Dr. Khallid Muhammad on his Death Certificate album, so yeah, his conciousness is accelerated, and he reported on the injustice that he seen and experienced before that. 2 different generations. Cube's environment molded his storytellin' abilities to a higher level, before BIG was on the scene. Color Blind, No Vaseline, and How to Survive in South Central to name a few. Cube got the props!!!

Not only was cube conscious in his music, but also when it comes to the movie Friday he gave one of the most important stories with a very meaningful and powerful message when it comes to youth using a firearm to back themselves up against a rival. He had the OG Mr. John Witherspoon talk to his son and explain to him that killing someone isn’t going to make you a man. YOU WIN SOME, YOU LOSE SOME, BUT YOU LIVE! LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY! That right there as kid spoke to me and till this very day I think about it and how much that was needed back then and how it’s still very important and relevant in todays age!
