  • This installment of DtC had so much good stuff that they forgot what episode it was! And before they even had a drink! If you are a condition freak you won't want to miss this one.
    BOILERPLA... ER, GENERAL INFO:
Tom, Deb, and Ob would like to thank everyone who have been kind enough to send in gifts. Seriously, you guys are just the best.
I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes even more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world Tom or Ob would be able to engage with everyone in the comment section, but alas the world is far from perfect. Tom doesn't know how (and refuses to learn) and Ob is something of a Luddite.
    FAQ & A:
Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls RUclips "the U-TOOBZ".
    Tom's personal email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com
You can also call him if you prefer (856-866-8733) between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, EST. This may be slightly more difficult because he's forever running around away from his desk, but it's worth a shot.
Q: I have an amusing anecdote, scathing criticism, or heartfelt compliment that I deeply need to express and I require / demand / long for a personalized response! What should I do?
    A: See "A" above.
    Again, Tom's email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com

Not all items during that period are going to be mint ,but there are collectors who like an item to show its age.

If the general hangers are original, the initialed luftwaffe dagger may have a connection to Ernst-August Roth. The fact it came from Finland adds some credence as he was Fliegerführer Nord (HQ located in Finland).

Wow, what a great episode of quality edged weapons, If I we're to start collecting, which I sadly cant afford, those last five weapons would be my starting point, this video was perfect in length, quality and amount of smoke, booze and information, I personally enjoy everything from mistakes and getting it right on the mark to spilling a drink and relighting a cigar, thanks again, this team is awesome and I can't wait for the next one which will be 113, Is that right Ob...🧐

I believe the best guess for the initialed Luftwaffe Dagger, as fancy as it is would be, Erich Rudorffer 222 claims 6th place of highest Luftwaffe Aces.

Possibly but for that claim I’d want rock solid provenance.

This decoration on the scabbards and cross guards you refer to as pebbling is known in German as Schlangenhaut or snake skin. It was used on silver beakers from the 17th century.

41:29 I have an autographed 1936 olympics cigarette album photo of the reich sport leader Hans von Tschammer und Osten. He must've signed these during the summer games. In the same grouping is a photo album from 1962 but it contains a nice autograph and photos of Austrian crown prince Otto von Habsburg.

I'm an old man and iv been buy and selling ww2 german military stuff over the years on and off , but in the last few years ww2 german military has become very popular and that means money and there's lots and lots of fakes out there so it's very important you buy from a real authentic honest person and that's Tom Wittmann, if you want to invest your hard earned dollars the stock market ( even Al capene didn't trust it lol) or something you can hold in your hands and it will only increase in value.
