The implication of Darth Sidious as Anakin’s father was 🔥🔥 but not in the sense it implied. First thing that came to my mind is Sidious’ master Darth Plageuis who is theorised as being responsible for Anakin’s conception via his meddling with midichlorians to create and alter life, unbalancing the force and subsequently resulting in the creation of the force’s own counter measure in Anakin (hence his ridiculously high midichlorian count) tasked to “restore balance”. The prophecy of the chosen one effectively had nothing to do with destroying the Sith, just undoing the imbalance created by the one who mentored Darth Sidious who in turn continued those ways through cloning and essence transfer into other bodies. So when Mimi said “there was no father” and they show Sidious, to me it’s lowkey nodding to that idea that actually unbeknown to most, there is a “biological father” element to Anakin’s existence but it’s through the force alone and ONLY Sidious knows about it because he was there.
Pretty sure in one of the Vader comics that’s canon. I think it was #25 it’s basically confirmed he was his father without actually saying it or at least again implying that. Also Palpatine’s “son” was a clone of himself. So Rey is actually Palpatine’s daughter in my eyes. Also have you not ever had any friends you consider to be family? The same logic stands. Family is not always blood deep. I have 2-3 friends that I consider to be my brothers they are apart of my family. Same rules apply with Rey takin the Skywalker name. She never had any actual family at least none that she can remember so when Luke and Leia take on that parental figure role for her she feels love and feels like she is apart of an actual family for the first time. Appropriated or not she earned the last name. And believe me Vader is my avatar I’m life I embody him. And I feel that it was earned.
In the Star Wars comics it shows Palpatine manipulating midichlorians in her stomach. The comic was Marvel's Darth Vader #25 . I dont think that points to him being the father. I think it just shows how he set the plan in motion to destroy the Jedi a long time ago.

Palpatine was in Anakins head to the point even things that were not true he believed. All I was saying is what the comic showed. I've seen the Matt Martin interview. But without that interview if a person just read only the comic that showed that , one would in fact be inclined to believe that Sidious was his father. See , if they had went by the legend of the novel, Luke went to the dark side, he became a power Jedi grandmaster , plus he had a kid with Jane , who was a person the empire sent to kill Luke. Plus the princess had to kids by solo a boy and a girl. These last three star war movies would had been different if the original creator had done it himself once again if he didn’t sale it to Disney. So I’ll keep reading my old original novels cause I got the ending I needed. Plus in the novel the skywalker blood line is full son
The problem is that the original Star Wars felt like a story we just witnessed that had happened "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away". It was a galaxy we had never seen. The new ones just feel like movies. Movies with writers that change things to appeal to people and make money. They connect things for the sake of making the new movies feel more acceptable to the old fans because now everything feels cohesive. In the end it feels forced and unoriginal, not a progression.

And what I think about the jedi I dont like them tbh like they have strict rules and expect people to always follow them but when they break it like the council for example it's no punishment like mace windu used used force crush on grievous no punishment, the high republic one of the had a vision that one of there padawan would betray them and turn to the dark side so they killed all there padawans. And yes I hate when they say palpatine is anakin's father that just 😒 no stop it and I hate when Yoda says if you fall to the dark side you'll be trapped there forever if you turn to the dark side it doesn't trap you it may tempt you alot sense it gives you strength but it doesn't trap you like anakin/darth vader came back, darth reven came back and etc
