I just pictured the last Jedi would be a really creative and fun adventure with Leia being very proactive using the new republic forces and her powers to destroy snoke and confront Ben while Luke and Rey are basically on that adventure being important, deep, world building and lore building. Rian just made a very generic movie that doesn't connect with the rest and not only has no world building but breaks the lore of what came before without explanation or very lazily explained. It really just doesn't fit in at all unless you view it as a very high budget parody or fan fiction

I just watched this trilogy the other day. It is amazing. My new head canon. Just like Belated Media / Bandit Inc are my two favorite versions of the prequels

The only way the Last Jedi could be awesome is if Lucas Films never made. Honestly, the British comedian Rowan Atkinson could have done a better job playing the character of Johnny English! This film was overseen by Mz. Kathleen Kennedy, enough said!

@@francissellerdudeThe Last Jedi was genius with how it used it’s CGI and Special Effects. Paired with Rian Johnson’s eye for a good shot, I’d say most people, even the ones that hate the movie, would agree that it’s the most visually pleasing movie in the franchise

I hope that in some 5 years we will have a team of fans animators using their skills and AI to recreate this into a full animated movie trilogy.
If Disney were smart, they’d purchase this entire storyline from the creator(being their IP idk if they’d need to or not)and make it happen themselves. At least hire the man to help write it all.

This was amazing. I got literal chills when Mara Jade was mentioned. Such a beautiful way to include her without changing the overall arc of the story. I'm still mad the sequels completely ignored her and Luke's history.
Their history no longer exists in the mouse's galaxy.

I recently got the Timothy Zahn trilogy for Heir to the Empire on Audible.....can't wait to get into it.

Maybe this story will be able to be created as an Ai movie in the future when ai improves.

I'm just replacing this story in my head as the actual cannon and not what Disney gave us.
Palpatine wants to use Ben to make him stronger, a perfect vessel. Snoke helped him get there and now he's using the confliction in Ben to really help him. But the Starforge and using the darkside of the force or whatever to reach out to bring people back with it is genius. You could bring back Darth Plagueis or whatever.
This guy legit brought more character and meaning to Snoke. Developed the characters relationship and motives very well in the span of two episodes of a movie. We see how Ben became Kylo Ren, we know everyone's motives, and so forth. It's just perfect story telling and a talent this Prism guy has, tbh. It was weird when we just randomly saw Palpatine and didn't see how that came to be either.

@@darthyoda4934 I didn't like Luke being overpowered either... I think the way to make that work is for Ben to incapacitate Rey and Finn first. and then have Ben and Snoke work together for the force crush.

So in this series of events, what if Mara Jade (Luke's lost love) was the emperor's daughter. That could potentially make Rey Luke and Mara's daughter.

The great thing about this story is he uses the plot points and characters the sequels use but does it better… he doesn’t just make his own story. Incredible really.
It’s the reverse honestly. If he had made his own original story it would’ve been incredible. What he did here is just copying the sequels and improving them based on existing criticism.
“It made no sense how Palpatine came back” > Explicitly shows how Palpatine came back
“Finn should’ve been a Jedi” > Includes Finn as a Jedi
“Rey is a Mary Sue she never trained and is so OP” > Makes Rey a trained Sith and explicitly shows her train as a Jedi
“We know nothing about Snoke” > Explicitly states his backstory
@@BigmertsFilmpjesbut that's literally the point. He corrected the story to what would have made the Last Jedi good, it wasn't supposed to be a complete overhaul of the franchise which based on your other comments is the entire concept you missed lol.

@22:00, nice callout for Mara Jade. If i recall correctly George wasnt a fan of her, but many of the fans were/are. This inclusion is the best of both.
Maybe George would have been at peace with this presentation of hers, as it did not work out with her and Luke. And finally forgave her existence.
At the end of the day though, Lucas most likely hated her for personal reasons. Simply put Lucas named Luke S after himself, so Luke S hooking up with Mara was just way too close to his real life ex-wife Marcia.
The fans shouldn't be robbed of one of the best characters the franchise ever had and the perfect foil to Luke, just because he was reminded of his ex-wife. Lucas needs to lot go and just accept that Luke being like his father and finding love is the natural progression of his character arc, and let's Luke face the same dilemma as his father but unlike Anakin chosing a better path when faced with the same fear.
Gawt damn I absolutely LOVE what PRISM did with Palatine's new rise. It stays so true to the type of Sith he is. The new films just used him as just wanting to build a big army and go to war but that has never been the way of Sidius directly. He persuades and manipulates to fulfill the ultimate goal. He's essentially the opposite of Obi-Wan.
This series makes me both happy and disappointed.
I agree. Palpatine’s return would need more than “somehow he returned” and PRISM did a bang up job.
Palpatine is so cunning and has a way of persuading people before preying on them. The Rise of Skywalker tossed his characterization out completely
This is just one of infinite story possibilities that could've been done but SOMEHOW we ended up with what Disney shit out.
This would have been so much better than the sequel trilogy. They would have had happy fans and more money.

@@BigmertsFilmpjesThe Star Forge is the center of the conflict and it’s completely new. The rest of the pieces are rearranged to make much more sense and fit around the conflict.
@@BigmertsFilmpjes What are you talking about? Everything about the arrangement of the (non-original) characters here, is original. There's nothing like any of this in the Disney videos. He took the props and the characters, but made a radically different, and far better story. And it's not trivial to make something this good.

Finn the stormtrooper who abandoned his roots and became a rebel who turned out to be force sensitive? Done. Snoke the puppet created by Palpatine? Done. The Knights of Ren? Done. Phasma, the stormtrooper commander? Done. Hux the leader of the Imperial Remnant? Done.
If you think this is new or different you’re a whole next level of delulu. He just used the entire sequels and tie in comics for their characters, rather than a single film.
It is also trivial to make something this good. I alone have four different sequel trilogies and the amount of “what if” sequels on RUclips and Reddit that are on the same level of this can’t be counted on two hands.
I watched all 3 of Prism “what if” videos…3 times each! Great story!

So amazing, I like how it ends like Empire Strikes Back, everyone is broken and beaten and scattered, all hope seems lost, and they have to face unsurmountable odds to win.

This kind of storytelling has not been seen in any of the Star Wars films and it is incredible. I am looking forward to seeing "What if Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" when it is released. I do not know how Disney could get this, so wrong. This is the story that would captivate an audience for three hours per movie. It’s grounded, gritty, inquisitive, and also makes the audience think a bit.

Not gonna knock the story, i think it's excellent, it just felt like it was a 5 hr epic. I thought the episode was done after Ben's turn and took over as Kylo. A lot of stuff happened. We have to take into account for prolonged action scenes. The narration moves the pace quicker, but on film it would not be as fast paced.

Im sure you know by now but What If Episode IX is out and it is FANTASTIC! A great ending. The ending we should have gotten.
That was actually really freaking good.
The part where Luke gets dominated in the force by Ben doesn't make any sense. Both have the same potential, but decades of development apart.
The force always sways to whoever has the most conviction in it. That's how Luke beat Vader, ani beat dooku, and even Ray vs Kylo in TFAW. In this story it seems like Luke is conflicted in fighting his nephew while Kylo is emboldened in his anger.
I disagree. Ben's has Skywalker blood and its been well documented that their blood line mixed with giving into extreme rage and despair increases their power to unmatched levels regardless of the opponents knowledge and or experience with the force.
@@mindinvadercomics3915 yes, makes all sense for Luke to be conflicted and refusing to hurt Ben in any way. But Ben wouldn't break his force shield like that. Or else Vader would have killed Palpatine (sooner).

There is a guy that did this exact same thing but with the prequels and I cannot find it anymore. It was so well thought of. I know the prequels are good and loved but trust me this guy made it way better. I just cant find it at all anymore.
These short films are now the Sequels as far as I'm concerned. Watched all of these and it was AWESOME.
For those who don't know, this blends the Knights of the Old Republic storyline with the Prequels and the OG movies together for one giant pay off. The StarForge is part of that storyline from KOTOR.

Love this so far but something about Luke getting destroyed like that doesn’t sit right with me. I think Luke is far too powerful to go down like that. Then again maybe he just let his guard down against Ben. Other than that this version is sooo good. I would’ve loved to see this in theaters. At least now there’s someone to show Disney how it’s done. Lol
Luke is a human after all. And Ben is his nephew. He can not simply match power with power. Ben is also very powerful and Luke hold back maybe.
I don’t think he was expecting Ben to pull that move, and yes, he was still in “saving him” mode, whereas Ben was in TFD mode.
