"It is delusional to think your actions have had any consequence" has gotta be one of my new favorite Vader lines. It's so dismissive and also a little Anakin's angsty nature comes through.
I mean Vader does have a point though with that line too because it was really only a minor setback that he was able to patch up. It wasn't like they took down the whole base or anything lmao, this does show Cere being overconfident too which is something Vader took advantage of.
I absolutely love how they portray Vader in this series. Vader is toying with Cere only using his one-handed fighting style until she buries him in fire then he swaps to his two-handed style no longer holding back.
Obi wan was just toying with Anakin when they fought on mustafar, he finally decided to get serious and told anaking he had the high ground play time was over.
@@TruculentRuminavi Obi wan was fighting for his life on mustafar, he lasted that long because he had great defense and knew all Anakin's moves who would eventually won that fight but couldn't control his ego and emotions, that was his downfall, It is stated many times he was more powerful than anyone else cmon now
For those he didnt get it, the quick transition when cal shows up is him sensing her dead body with his ability, seeing everything we played through. In her last moments she seems to be able to connect with him and see him "in the future" or whatever way you want to put it, and seems to see trilla before dying. But Cal doesn't immediately show up after the fight if you were confused.
and honestly, I love seeing vader almost bested in combat, he was never the best saber duelist in the first place so seeing capable duelists almost beat him is a reminder he's still just an egotistical, broken child underneath that scary persona
It's clear she has a true motivation to fight too, she knows that cal, marrin, greez,BD, the archives and the hidden path are all at stake so she is very focused. She also said she was preparing so she most likely trained and this was personal because of what he did to her and trilla
@@IssDiddy wdym he was never the best duelist? As Anakin? Agreed. As Vader he trained to be among the best and I would certainly rank him in that category. Only people who could truthfully and probably beat him based on what we've seen is Palpatine, Kenobi, maybe Yoda, and Luke (who only really won in Return of the Jedi due to the technicality that Vader was conflicted about fighting his son and thus not fully steeped in the Dark Side.)
@TheRebelOfChaos that last one about Luke doesn't make sense cause Luke was conflicted about not wanting to kill his father. So a little dipped in good vader vs a little dipped in dark Luke.
Cere dies and Cal is holding her and weeping while Theory says, “Yes, finally, we can move on, I didn’t really like that ending for Vader though” had me cracking up.😂 These streams were a blast! Filled with fun and laughs. Rick The Door Technician was a legend!🤣
@@darthdracul8372 He’s been a massive fan of Vader since he was a kid, Cere was introduced in fallen order, it’s completely normal for him to be more excited about Vader than Cere, not mentioning he’s one of the most iconic villain of all time. Also we knew Vader was going to kill her since, shocker, he is not dead in the movies, so yeah we were just waiting to see how Cere dies. Doesn’t mean he dislikes Cere, tbh I couldn’t think of a more badass way for her to go, but yeah.
I think the reason Vader struggled against Cere was because she caught him off guard. Remember last time they met? He threw her behind him like a ragdoll. He was playing with her and messing with her this time and didn’t expect her to be as powerful as she was. By the time he started trying his suit had already sustained some pretty serious damage. TLDR; Vader fucked about and found out the hard way
She was determined, focused, and had no conflict this time, and no one else to worry about. Just her and Vader. I don't think she actually stood a chance, but Vader played with his food too much here.
Classic case of Vader underestimating and cere has actually been preparing for him since she first saw him. And he noted that when they met but it still wasn't enough but commendable fighting on Ceres part she left Vader with something to remember her
@@TheHyphen Vader wasn’t underestimating out of cockiness 🤦♂️ it’s more he was showing respect by not instantly killing her plus he wants to see if she’ll break or die braver than most
@@TheHyphen Vader isn't one for a challenge. He likes beating everyone.(pause) It's literally in his personality to think he's so far above everyone in combat. That's why he lost to Obi-Wan. Anakin is cocky and always has been
I don't think this duel made Vader look weak. The opposite in fact. If Vader just instantly killed Cere I would have just assumed that she was still weak and would not have proved Vader's strength. Instead they showed Cere had fully immersed herself in the force while hiding, becoming a master and spending years preparing for this specific fight. In this scene we saw Vader fight a very powerful Jedi Master and WIN. To me this actually shows how strong he was becoming. I'd honestly be disappointed if a Jedi Master didn't put up a good fight.
@@ExpertContrarian That's not what I said, but ironically twisting someone words and claiming the misogyny isn't real fits right up the alley of this demographic.
I personally loved this sequence. Cere represents what the Jedi should be at this point in her life. She even says so “I’ve let go of my fear”. The republic and the order fell because the Jedi had become so self absorbed, but here we see Cere rising above the order of the past. On top of that, Vader underestimates her. He swatted her away like a fly the last time they met. She stands her ground against him this time because she let go of the hatred she had against him for killing Trilla, further showing her character and power growth. Vader becomes visibly more aggressive throughout the fight as he realises he has a real opponent this time. We all knew he was going to ultimately win, but to say Cere stands no chance just doesn’t give her justice. And a side note, it genuinely nearly brought me to tears when I realised that whole Cere section of the game was Cal reliving her death through his force psychometry. It was absolutely heartbreaking
Anybody saying she stood no chance should see how vader picks himself up and limps away, yes he won, but that is not the way someone leaves a duel who had no worries. That man was limping, panting, and just glad to be done with the fight. Normally when he kills any number of jedi he always gloats or showboats. This time bro was just like okay back to my bacta tank this shit STINGS.
No the jedi didn't fall because they were self absorbed. You clearly didn't understand the movies. And you're taking this view from Filoni's nonsense TCW
@@anthonygarcia8749how did they fall? I always assumed it was because they were arrogant and self absorbed. There was a sith right in front of them and they couldn’t see it. The scene where Yoda and Mace talk about the rule of two in the Phantom Menace shows this. (The camera pans over to Palpatine). But what is your opinion?
@@cpthighground59 bro disrespected the Clones wars, some of the best Star Wars media we’ve been blessed with. Something the prequels wished they could be. But even in the prequels, it’s obvious how diluted the Jedi became. Absorbed in politics and war, allowing a Sith Lord to take control over the senate, all while having no idea. Not even being able to sense it. Also George is a huge fan and supporter of the clone wars, meaning this is what he believes the cannon to be. This guy is some strange dude stuck on the movies, bad movies.
I think seeing Vader walk off at the end tired from fighting shows how he’s still “human” and is even MORE chilling to me. This is just one man. And he’s THIS evil and THIS full of hatred, the fact it’s achievable to be so nearly perfectly Sith is a miracle, and yet he’s not even truly Sith. We get a little glimpse of the Anakin deep inside him walking away from a battle like old times, yet he is absolutely not Anakin here. Maybe it’s scratching too deep for headcanon, but I like to think the nuance is there
People forget that Cere is a jedi master who has access to and tamed to the point where she had control over the dark side of the force within her. Which is probably what caught Vader off guard nonetheless she was still no match.
There is no controlling the dark side of the force tho, that's grey jedi bullshit. She overcame the dark side, she learned from the first game, hence her saying she let go of her fear. She was not using the dark side in this fight.
@@anthonygarcia8749 you can overcome and abandon it or have control over it rather than having it control over you it's been stated and shown in both continuities.
The entire point of his character is that he's the chosen one you idiot, he shouldn't be beaten so bad by some random jedi master. He's stated to be like 80% Palpatine's power.
I honestly think this is one of Vader’s better portrayed duels (outside of the movies) because the only reason he takes any damage isn’t because he was over powered or out dueled but bc for a split second he underestimated a master Jedi, and it shows Cere’s genius as she lured him to a trap which she only had milliseconds at best to think of and spring, then Vader emerges from the fire with some new found respect for Cere (which is shown in how he doesn’t taunt or belittle her after the duel is over) he’s also a little shaken up which Cere tries to take advantage of and she is almost able to do so but Vader being the smarter duelist manages to actually use that upper hand she has to his own advantage as it prompts her into going on a full offensive as she believes it’s her only chance at striking him, this leaves her defenseless and Vader capitalizes on the opportunity, delivering a final blow
For those upset that Cere put up a good fight here’s my best explanation for this. 1. Let’s drop the whole “Vader is invincible” He isn’t. The main reason Vader overpowers his opponent is because they already fear him, fear of losing something or someone which he exploits and dominates those who faces him. That and because he’s an expert duelist and very powerful in the Force. 2. Cere is a literal Jedi Master who’s not some cannon fodder, but an experienced Jedi. 3. A Jedi with no fear is (In my opinion) the most dangerous thing to a Sith. This is b/c letting go of fear allows a Jedi to fully concentrate and let themselves follow the will of the force, making them more powerful as a result which is what Cere did. That is why fear is the Jedi’s worse enemy b/c it hinders and distracts them.
No ur dumb, Vader has killed countless Jedi masters in hiding after order 66 like they're nothing but cannon fodder. Cere is really no different. Vader is said to be 80% Palpatine's level, Cere should not be giving him this much of a fight. Thats bulls hit, I'm sorry
Vader "overpowers" his opponents because he's more powerful than they are, and a much better strategist. It's pretty simple. Fear plays a part, but even if they don't fear him, they still don't have a chance.
When Cere says "I've let go of my fear" I believe that means she was one with the force during this fight, similar to Kanan Jarus fight with grand inquisitor, which is why she was able to hold her own against vader.
I don't think it's that. Look at how Vader's moveset evolves through the fight - he wasn't taking her seriously for the first two stages, he was playing with his food. It's all slow lumbering strikes, but once she damages his armour he realizes she's stronger than he thought and actually puts effort in, so his moves get much quicker and harder to parry, with way more unlockables. But of course by that point his armour was damaged so he couldn't just smite her.
@@SarcyBoi41 ah classic vader headcanon. Vader doesnt pkay with his food. He never does in the comics bc it is his job to kill every jedi left not play with his food and risk loosing. Thats the difference between suited vader vs mustafar vader. Stop with the cringe headcanon HE IS HOLDING BACK.
@@curiouspanda873 bruh, look at how his moveset changes as he realises he underestimated Cere. I'm not headcanoning anything, it's evident from what we're looking at. He might have had different reasons though, maybe he was hoping if he kept her alive long enough to talk and let her get overconfident she might reveal more about the Hidden Path. But it doesn't really matter. At the end of the day, Cere is a fully fledged Jedi Master likely even more powerful than Obi-Wan based on how she tore apart the Imperial infantry. She must be one of the only remaining Jedi who can give him something of a challenge.
@Tom S didn't he do this in Kenobi show? He uses one hand to play with him since he's been rusty then at the final episode he started using 2 hands as soon as kenobi began to regain his skills?

People would rather see Vader portrayed as a god rather than have people that are the highest form of Jedi compete with him….. I truly don’t understand why.
I think people see Vader as Itachi somehow, but it's because of the way that the games, comics, movies portrayed him, but i hate to say it, both are overrated. If you knew Vader entire story...he catch L's every now and then
Him being within reach of standard jedi masters is just wrong though. He's awesome and likeable partly because he's an untouchable force of nature who can only be stopped by other legends of star wars. Characters like those should be in their own league, both to make them stand out, be more important, and in vaders case, sell the character as what they're supposed to be portrayed as. Vader isn't a jedi killer. He's hardly considerable as a hunter almost either. It's more fitting to call him the jedi genoicder. Jedi hunter is more of a inquisitor title. Vader being untouchable is one of his biggest appeals
@@trevorveillette8415 I wouldnt call her a standard master though. Couldn't say the same about plenty of jedi, even some members of the council during the prequels. And besides even after all of Cere's experience and growth, vader still won anyway. If anything that makes Vader seem more powerful, defeating a jedi that had no fear. I dont see the need for some kind of club, and whats so wrong with adding characters to these "legends"?
I don’t think Vader was too nerfed in this fight. Cere is an experienced Jedi Master who has let go of her fear as she stated. This makes her a match for Vader. I think it’s kinda dumb how people think Vader is some immortal god who can’t be touched. While I do agree that Cere was outmatched in this fight and that Vader definitely was holding back for a while, I like how Vader actually gets pretty hurt because even though he is the Chosen One and a powerful Sith Lord, he’s still a human who can be hurt. However, everything needing Jedi or Sith? That's actually been my complaint with Canon/Disney SW since Force Awakens. We need to get out of this Republic - Empire era with Anakin and Luke and move to other eras with other characters and not necessarily have Jedi or Sith involved (even as plot devices). But Disney knows that will never make them money because people love the Jedi and Sith so much (hard to blame them, but still.).

People forget that this is a video game. For all intents and purposes, we can basically say this fight lasted 15 seconds in-canon. Cere dodged a few attacks, then tried to bury Vader under the archives, Vader gets up and he kills her shortly after. It’s only drawn out because it’s a video game and they wanted to let us fight Vader since we didn’t get a proper boss fight in the last game.
We could also say that it was drawn out canonically just as it was in the game. You act like Cere beat him lol. The blow to the collective ego of Vader fans is kind of funny when, in the end, he still won the duel. You guys gotta get over yourselves.
@@Clown_Syndrome I agree because honestly, we don’t know how powerful Cere was. Obi wan lost his connection to the force after Revenge of the Sith, but in Kenobi he quickly regained his power and defeated Vader again. Who’s to say Cere (who had way more time to regain her strength) wasn’t a very powerful Jedi in her prime? Vader had many formidable opponents. Obi Wan (twice), Ahsoka, Galen, and Luke to name a few. Some may argue that it’s different because those characters are emotionally connected to him in some way, but the whole idea is that Vader and Anakin are separate characters in the same person. I don’t think it’s sacrilege anytime Vader struggles to best his opponent. The main thing is that he won, which let’s be honest, who expected him to lose? Also, people forget that this fight takes place in the middle of the Jedi archives which could be interfering with his dark side energy or something (idk).
@@KTLaughter I mean I agree in principle, but just one small correction. Vader and Anakin ARE separate characters, or at least he tries to be, but when he is around people and places that remind him of his past, Anakin comes out, which weakens his link to the Dark Side temporarily. At least in the first 5-10 years of his time as Vader. After that this tactic really doesn't work on him anymore other than with Luke, who's a special exception because...well...he's his son...who he's thought was dead all these years.
It makes me laugh when people think Vader is supposed to be invincible, we literally see Obi-Wan beat his ass twice solo. He's not some God, he's just a sith lord with a lot of power and skill.
Honestly, this is how I think a serious fight between Vader and a fully trained Jedi knight _should_ go. He's powerful and very skilled, yes, but I don't like it when they present him as some unbeatable super being. What made him truly dangerous was having the backing of the entire Empire. A decent Jedi is still an opponent he has to take seriously - that's why they all had to go.
Do you have any idea what vader did to jedi knights and masters alike after order 66? He killed them like fodder, he was THE jedi killer. Cere should not have been a problem for him, he's the chosen one.
A knight shouldnt have any chance against Vader, hell even Jedi Masters like Luminara, Gallia and others on their level shouldnt beat Vader. It should be those like Mace, Yoda, Obi Wan. Cere is more on the lower end of Jedi Master.
@@Asiandiskool Yet Vader lost to Luke who only trained for a year and beat him using the dark side. If Luke beat him it means he either used the dark side which is what Cere is notorious for doing to in, or it means Luke won solely because he's Vader's son and has powerful blood which is honestly still lazy writing.
Any moment Vader comes on screen in a movie, Tv show, video game or whatever. It instantly becomes his. A lot of the times it’s just him showing up, humbling the main characters and leaving 😭
I got hyped and got chills seeing vader again he’s one of my favorite characters and actually being able to fight him properly was amazing also that music
Once again, Theory doesn’t understand Vader’s character. If he feels the challenge isn’t worth it, Vader holds back significantly, which does sometimes end up in taking damage.
Agreed. Also, Vader himself showed up. That is the big hint she is a proper warrior. If she wasn’t worth it, he’d send an inquisitor to do the job, they fight the scraps and weaklings. your reaction to Cere´s death and Cal´s grieveing is--- weird, to say the least. It is - quite emotional scene in general I think. A jedi who witnessed the death of his master - for a f***g second time (and it happened because of what Vader did - in both games it is a direct consequence of Vader´s action). Not only it is hearth wrenching, it is also enormously important when it comes to a character development too. but - yey, Cere is dead, we can finally move on. Poor Vader limped, that´s bad, didnt like it. C´mon. Do you actually get thrilled by anything else than the skywalker story line? just asking for a friend.
What a boss Cere was. If it wasn't for Vader's plot armour. At the end of the day, she was the hero who almost beat him and he will be forever known throughout all the galaxy as a genocidal terrorist.
I think they should have allowed the player to play as Vader since the player naturally has Armour plot....let us as the inevitable Victor Vader in any boss fight with Vader for the future
Making Cere a difficult boss would've shown how much stronger she got without her doing so much damage to Vader. That said, we probably wouldn't have gotten the part where we play as her against the Imperial attack if the game did that.
@@DoratTheKiller you know what'd be cool. To be able to choose to play either Cere or Vader. Choices that accumulates and determine the ending, light and dark. Ofc the canon ending'll be the light side one but still.. Things like that' what i miss from the classics like SWTFU
I see people saying Vader is underpowered in this fight but i don't see it that way. Vader acknowledges Cere has grown stronger, but several times in this fight he overpowers her with the Force. He probably could have killed her at any point easily using the Force based on what we see but he wants to break her so he doesn't use the Force to kill her until she gets too close at which point he redirects her strike to miss while stabbing her simultaneously. Also Vader is known for toying with his victims before killing them which actually gets him into trouble a few times in Star Wars canon. But i think that's a bit of Anakin's ego shining through, he has to prove he is the best. But his arrogance and need to prove himself often cause him to lose/almost lose fights just like Obi-wan repeatedly tried to warn him. There are so many nods to other things in Star Wars in this game and this fight to me really shows that although yes Vader is evil and terrifying, it's clearly Anakin in that suit. He's still there just under the surface but only Luke could see that and bring him back.
If anyone thinks Vader is weak here, just noting that 1: Cere is at a level of Master, fully retuning herself to the force after putting her loss and anguish behind her. She fights for a purpose and does not let her emotions bind her like the first game 2: this is heavily hinted to take place after his fight with obi-wan, meaning he is coming off a hard defeatand will probably underestimate any opponent after walking away from that alive

because she showed Vader , what she is capable of. Vader always looked for a worthy oponnent and he recognize that she was one of them. So he honoured and respected her ambitions, like she did everything in return. Even if she didn`t like Vader, but she respected him.

Vader just leaving without a final word or remark is just one of the most Vader moves. He doesn’t gloat, doesn’t brag, he just completed his task and left like a 9-5 worker.
I think just like most of showings of it, this is Star Wars gassing vaapad. Mace was able to use it to take on sidious. You can tell she is tapping into the dark side because cal uses cere’s move set and animations when he does his dark side time slow. Story telling via gameplay I liked it a lot.
People sometimes forget that Cere spent years in the Jedi archive on Jedha, surrounded by the wisdom and teachings of the Jedi Order. In that time, she wasn’t just sitting idle-she was learning, healing, and reconnecting with the Force. All those years studying the knowledge left behind by generations of Jedi must have deepened her understanding, making her not just wiser but also stronger in her own way. It gave her the clarity and strength to lead and guide others, like Cal, when they needed her most
People mad about Vader nearly losing to a Jedi master when he literally did lose to his son who had only 1 year of experience and only had one previous saber fight EVER. Sure Vader had to lose against Luke for the plot, but he also had to here. This is a great end for ceres character, and this doesn’t make Vader any weaker, it just makes cere that much stronger.
"that much stronger"... than any other Jedi we see in any movie or series. Doesn't matter who won/lost, she defeated him over and over, she even landed hits on him. He should be dead. Even the way he wins, looks like an accident on her part, she jumps on his saber. How would Vader win otherwise? Vader does nothing. With feats like that, does Dooku stand a chance against Cere? I'm kinda sad everyone thinks that vader was just toying with her. Sure I absolutely agree with that but you have to respect cere man. She ain't no anakin, Luke or ahsoka, yet she really died like a boss. And you can even see vader respecing her in that third phase fighting with two hand and acknowledging her power. Walking away damaged after he killed her. I was really rooting for cere. And I think people are really underestimating her. Vader isn't this invulnerable being. Sure cere was gonna lose but damn she put up a good fight
I don't understand the whole, "Vader is invincible" thing. Vader has gotten bested by Obi-wan twice along with quite a few others. On top of that, he also did take a hit to the shoulder from an untrained Luke Skywalker in Empire Strikes Back, so for all you OT only heads out there, explain that please.
Vader struggled imo, because he underestimated Cere. He wanted cere to use Cere's fear against her, yet she tamed the darkside, meaning she conqured her fears because of vader torturing her. We see in the beginning he used one hand to fight, then when he got annoyed, he switched to two hands, and outsmarted cere because she got too confident which lead to her demise.
The vader on fire reminded me of mustafar how anakin was burnt while he was sad and broken and now when vader is burning he is stronger and deadlier than before, it shows that how he has killed anakin skywalker and has fully embraced the dark side.
I stg Theory always cries whenever vader doesn't do anything but win. its so fucking annoying, wah wah wah "Vader would never!" I didn't know people could be so parasocial to FICTIONAL CHARACTERS
I liked seeing cere actually go toe to toe with Vader. It shows how much of an effect fear has on his opponents and we don’t get to see him fight people like that
"It is delusional to think your actions have had any consequence" has gotta be one of my new favorite Vader lines. It's so dismissive and also a little Anakin's angsty nature comes through.
Yeah dude I got chills on that one big time
I mean Vader does have a point though with that line too because it was really only a minor setback that he was able to patch up. It wasn't like they took down the whole base or anything lmao, this does show Cere being overconfident too which is something Vader took advantage of.
I can hear Hayden saying this line
It’s up there with “Funerals.”
Now I'm just imagining Obi-Wan's response to that line: "Every action has consequences. You would know that better than anyone."

And rightfully. It’s clear how powerful Cere has become while she’s engrossed herself in the force these past few years building the archives
The fact that Darth Vader came to Jedah shows how he has controlled his distaste of the sand

Very well put
Also, it's not like his suit can't be damaged, that it's one of his weakness.
Shut up jack
SWT: "I don't wanna fight Vader, he's my boy."
Vader, probably: "Then you will die braver than most."
Reminds me of that Kanan vs. Grand Inquisitor duel, also Obi Wan vs. Vader back in Kenobi.
Finally someone who understands. Even in vaders comics he struggles against fully trained jedi master who are not fodder
Vader "overpowers" his opponents because he's more powerful than they are, and a much better strategist. It's pretty simple. Fear plays a part, but even if they don't fear him, they still don't have a chance.
You have a better understanding of the narrative of starwars and the empire then this dude who makes it his job lmao

Once again, Theory doesn’t understand Vader’s character. If he feels the challenge isn’t worth it, Vader holds back significantly, which does sometimes end up in taking damage.
You would think that he’d know that due to how much he rides Vader.
@@J.Mayren666 Ikr
Agreed. Also, Vader himself showed up. That is the big hint she is a proper warrior. If she wasn’t worth it, he’d send an inquisitor to do the job, they fight the scraps and weaklings. Vader only personally arrives to hunt the big game, the masters and fighters. If he sent an inquisitor here, the invasion would’ve been for nothing because she would absolutely body a standard inquisitor.
@@chazo1367 Wrong. Vader has showed up personally to deal with things before that he doesn't actually care about but needs to under the Emperor's orders. In the 2017 comics AND Fallen Order.
@@alexdeghost2729 okay but the emperor didn’t order him here. He was given a tip by Bode through a stormtrooper. And so he deemed it important enough to turn up personally.
The force echo transition when Cal catches her was one of the coolest scenes in the game.
Man 10 years post ROTS was a rough year for Vader lol
I think Cere was at the height of a jedi masters power, so I highly enjoyed the fight and thought it worked completely.
The Vader voice is really good. Close to James himself. I didn’t expect Vader in this game but boy am I happy he is. Probably my favorite part of the last game. I’ve been skeptical about picking up this game, now I’m definitely going to
Very puzzled how this fight is considered lame what did he want? Vader to just kill her in one hit and move on?
I mean its accurate
Yes that's what we all wanted
Fr. Vader is OP, but Theory constantly wants to see him be Force Unleashed Starkiller or something. He's just not. He's strong, and so are Jedi Masters. And He doesn't like to try.
@@machineferret3359 it’d make no sense for that to happen since Vader showing up himself means she is an actual powerful threat.
Plus she is a Jedi master who has had 5 years to hone herself and was actually prepared and waiting for him, no fear. Vader loses an advantage when his opponent doesn’t fear him.
@@machineferret3359 whose we? yall r very boring and just vader fan boys and gets toxic when vader gets touched even a little lol
What’s with with this dislike for Cere dude? That’s supposed to be an emotional moment. You’re way too much of a Vader fanboy.
So funny how Theory was about to cry in a pair of moments because his favorite action figure was enduring some difficulties.
Ikr, this is like the whole “goku solos” shit all over again
your reaction to Cere´s death and Cal´s grieveing is--- weird, to say the least.
Vader just went 'Fuck man, I think i'll go take a dip in my bacta tank now' after defeating her
What a boss Cere was. If it wasn't for Vader's plot armour. At the end of the day, she was the hero who almost beat him and he will be forever known throughout all the galaxy as a genocidal terrorist.
I had died so many times facing Vader in this game. It was frustrating but so satisfying when I “won” in a sense.
7:46 Vader be like: Alright Imma limp out.

Bro, Cere's death legit made me cry. I hated seeing her die. 😭
I love the way he props himself up with his elbows and just walks away it's so reminiscent of Anakin 😂
Half expected him to call for his mom when he was raging
I think they should have allowed the player to play as Vader since the player naturally has Armour plot....let us as the inevitable Victor Vader in any boss fight with Vader for the future
SWTFU Prologue level hell yeah
@@naufalmEZa tfu prologue is 10/10
Making Cere a difficult boss would've shown how much stronger she got without her doing so much damage to Vader.
Nah. I want Vader get cooked before he turns the tides like what we got.
If anyone thinks Vader is weak here, just noting that
1: Cere is at a level of Master, fully retuning herself to the force after putting her loss and anguish behind her. She fights for a purpose and does not let her emotions bind her like the first game
2: this is heavily hinted to take place after his fight with obi-wan, meaning he is coming off a hard defeatand will probably underestimate any opponent after walking away from that alive
Do we know this is set after kenobi?
@@gammelgaddan_jr870 it’s impossible to know. But the first game was only a few years after 66. I’m guessing like 6-8 years. So luke was a kid. In the Kenobi series luke was about 5-6. That would be the timing of the first game. This game, Luke is prob about to interact with old Ben. So this guy doesn’t know his shit

He's a Vader fan boy who thinks he's untouchable by even the most powerful Jedi Masters. He wasn't taking it seriously from the get go "Come on we all know Vader would kill her in like, 2 seconds"
@@lishishur293 I know it's just fantasy, but he should watch out. It's scary how easy it is to ignore suffering because you're rooting for the other side.
the vader glazing 😭
When he kills cere a part of anakin comes through, sith usually finish their enemies off in pure hate and no mercy, he walks away badly injured but he let her die in her own terms and even left cal alone. He let her die with honour
because she showed Vader , what she is capable of. Vader always looked for a worthy oponnent and he recognize that she was one of them. So he honoured and respected her ambitions, like she did everything in return. Even if she didn`t like Vader, but she respected him.
But Riva magically survived the same thing and went in to kidnap luke, man the kenobi show sucked ass
The way they held their lightsabers at each other and Vader flipped his to the other side was a call back to when Vader and look did that in episode 5
So was it supposed to be a memory of the fight because Cal found her body?
You were playing as Cere fighting Vader, then Cal finds her afterwards. Hence the fires being out and ash floating in the air.
Yeah he gets there later, he just senses her death and they like connect through the force, kind of like a darker version of Rey and kylos force calls. That’s also why cal doesn’t go after Vader (or vice versa) the empire have already left
P much
Vader will always get right back up he's a monster a force of pure hatred and darkness this was a good portrayal
Seeing this only further makes question “How TF did Riva survive being run through by a lightsaber when more powerful force users like Cere and Qui Gon Gin die from the damage?”
Yeah, thar shit is bad, the entire kenobi show was bad. The only good part was Uncle Owen
Kenobi writters just forgot how a lightsaber works
Because the dark side vs light side. Using your rage to stay alive is a well established dark side ability but it is not one used by the jedi
Back in the old Dark Forces II game, there was a Dark Jedi that got cut in half at the waist, but his dark-side-fueled rage kept him alive. Literally, "Man Too Angry To Die." XD
@@CojaGamez Indeed it worked well for Maul heh. And yes I agree it's the difference between peacefully letting go, and holding on in anger.
Theory literally sounding like The Senate at 1:26.
The fact that this entire game connects straight to kenobi is so perfect and I love it. Props to the director of the game. Absolute masterpiece.
This fight gave me fond memories of whenever starkiller fought Vader
Find it hilarious that people keep treating Vader like he's invincible LOL Cere is a Jedi master and was one before order 66. She's not some random Padawan. She also uses the dark side
4:23 The amount of sheer resonance of pain I felt…like this whole fight is just here to punish you for losing. Cere dying felt more like a “Thank God, it’s over!” then a “ Wow, that was cool!”
The fact Vader left her to stand instead of strike her down is a huge mark of respect from the Sith Lord🫡💯
Story telling via gameplay I liked it a lot.
he isn't though it's just sped up, her moves are more deliberate and focused, his are just wild slashes and saber throws
@@Forestgravy90 i dont believe thats the case the animations are a one for one copy. the x combo the Y launcher in ground slam are the exact same.
Mace Windu?
8:26 I’m surprised no one caught on this is his psychometry.. the whole tone of the room and everything shifts
yo this fight was epic through and through. pleasant freaking surprise i didnt expect vader to walk through that door in the slightest. it was epic through the whole fight. it took me 4 tries 🤣
Personal Head canon: This fight took place Right after Space Jesus beat Vader for the second time so Vader is in a bad mood.
If anything, that’s an amp for Vader
Vader's always in a bad mood. His moods range from sullenly homicidal to venomous, indomitable rage-fueled homicidal.
I mean, it checks out timeline wise, 10 years after Sith
@@KingsBard Yes, but I also meant that Survivor took place in the same year as Kenobi, so there is a very good chance considering that Cere was in charge of the Path that Vader only learned about in Kenobi, that Survivor takes place right after the end of Kenobi, ergo Vader being in a pissy mood .
I struggled just as much in this fight until I started playing extremely defensively. I would parry and dodge everything and only go in for a hit or two when there was a clear opening. Took me about 12 times of fighting Vader to win.
Love they made vader. Goes to show that he’s just built different. Cere battled the darkness inside of her and use it to make herself incredibly strong, but it wasn’t enough for vader
I had so many mixed emotions during this, geeking out over Vader, scared for cere, sad for cal
Cracks me up that no one figured out that his cybernetics are heavy and that force slam negates his actions. Literally the first thing I tried and was like “yep knew it.”

At the end of the day, Cere used the environment around her to do damage to Vader. Chalk is off to home-field advantage.
@@jeffreystangojrsomething no normal Jedi would do
Vader struggled imo, because he underestimated Cere. He wanted cere to use Cere's fear against her, yet she tamed the darkside, meaning she conqured her fears because of vader torturing her. We see in the beginning he used one hand to fight, then when he got annoyed, he switched to two hands, and outsmarted cere because she got too confident which lead to her demise.
bro ngl your vaders no.1 meat rider he isn’t untouchable like
The vader on fire reminded me of mustafar how anakin was burnt while he was sad and broken and now when vader is burning he is stronger and deadlier than before, it shows that how he has killed anakin skywalker and has fully embraced the dark side.
I stg Theory always cries whenever vader doesn't do anything but win. its so fucking annoying, wah wah wah "Vader would never!" I didn't know people could be so parasocial to FICTIONAL CHARACTERS
