Knowing that the sequels could have been so much more is such a pain deep in the heart. And that video prove that Star Wars can be so much more than what Disney have giving us…
That's my biggest gripe. They could have been amazing and they were just okay at best.

@SeechanYT I have recently been watching the Once Upon a Time TV show. And I'm reminded that George Lucas was influenced by Joseph Campbell. I actually wish, that George Lucas could do a commentary track about that TV series. Disney owns the show and Star Wars. It would help them a lot actually. The villains in that show, are just as interesting and cool as the hero's. The way everyone is intertwined is really cool. The ability of the writers to see so far ahead and plan out a story is really incredible. The Sequels are the complete opposite.

The ending of Luke Skywalker with Jedi Order for quite life with Mars Jade references the ending of George Lucas with Star Wars for his wife and daughter. Beautiful.

Now when I think about it, seems like this scene is there on purpose - a clear reference to D. corp.

I had me in tears when I watched it. Everything about the final part of this had me really thinking about what those scenes could have done to an audience. People really would have been dumbfounded at this conclusion.
It's funny how _easy_ it is to satisfy fans. Yet disney fails to do so.

I have taken the stance that it was intentional malice. No one messes up this bad accidentally. A few bad items is a coincidence. This many is intent. They wanted to break us. They used our favorite franchises as trojan horses to advance their social engineering goals.

I don't think of it as a failure. That would imply they even attempted it, no there are people working there with nothing but contempt for the audience and the saga, they outright refused to do so. It was all about the board and the message, while at the same time doing the same to the heroes that happened to statues and historical monuments. This was completely intentional.
Revan appeared so making Vitiate the final enemy would be amazing.
Nah, it would ruin the story in swtor. His finally death with everyone hanging up on him was too epic for him to come back.

It baffles me that Anakin wasn't featured in the Rise of SKYWALKER. That's such a storytelling lay up, I don't get it. Have Anakin appear in spirit form and do some cool things with Luke to fulfill his destiny etc. Good grief, we only hear him briefly among tons of other old Jedi voices, as if they are all of the same importance to this story? Bizarre.
I recommend listening to all of these... the 1st is good. The 2nd and 3rd actually brought me to tears :D
3rd - by half I promised myself I would not weep. By the end I was crying like a girl. (40+ man here) Such a good ending of an era!!
I was hoping they’d show Finn as a Jedi, and boom, they did it. Very cool. One thing I’d change is I’d make Finn the main character again like he should’ve always been.
I think the reason he used the emperor was to use the elements of the sequels and morph them into something of quality.

He did Palps because the original did and he was trying to frame it differently. I've seen people do the same for Game of Thrones Season 8. They keep the basic framework, but change things around so they can say your writing sucks but your concepts can work. Have you seen his Kenobi chapters yet?
If TROS was awesome, it wouldn't have existed in the first place.
This revampt is atleast better than what we got in Disney's trilogy. The focus on Palpitine was a down grade but this was telling Palpitine's return more epic and more manageable. This is the same for Luke for his character and return in the Starwars universe.

I know the Soul Transfer thing seems odd. However, it brings in some of the powers from the Star Wars TTRPG.
Which is what this three series of short films did well. It took all of the threads and storylines and merged them together for a big pay off. Which worked.
KKs original intention with the sequels was to make a bad woke reboot of the OT. Sadly, she succeeded.
The more I think about the sequel trilogy the more I realize that they could have done just about anything to make it better. And that just disappoints me

i love it.. this is instantly a lot better than what we got didnt care for the ending with luke ..i agree i try not to think of the movies ..its sad .i only hope it gets repaired . this was still very very good
There are other remakes out there... I think You can mix match pick choose what works makes sense and developed the plot and characters well and build on that

Not 100% how I would've done it, either, but I sure as hell would've taken this over what we got.
The only change i would do is not have Anakin's ghost be hayden. It should be old Anakin
Palpatine being the main villain for 9 episodes is too much, I agree with bringing in a new villain. That's not a complaint by any means, I really enjoyed the other two What If episodes as well. I've only seen Force Awakens and the Last Jedi so in my mind, this is what happened in the ROS. I knew I held out for a reason.
I like everything except Revan being in that era.
Breaks Old Republic lore. As cool as Revan is, I would prefer it to be a new dark/light wise character guiding Ray

I get the feedback where you're looking for the bigger bad guy. The age old question. New stronger bad guy or old bad guy with some new transformation or power up. They might as well let Luke go ssj 😅
Damn these hit hard.... I like the Force Awakens, and I'm a bigger fan of Last Jedi than most. But I'm an OG Star Wars fan thru and thru. The Lucas era all the way. And seeing and hearing better story pitches just show how much Disney dropped the ball. I will always say Disney has done a great job of bridging Anakin and Vader. And there's a lot of Disney content I'm a fan of. But the Sequels are the worse mistep. After Rise of Skywalker i have a hard time enjoying the sequels at all. There was a better story there, I wish it was a reality.

The first 2 episodes were absolutely great. This 3rd one went a little bit off the rails. Luke should have died, might have been more impactful.
This is kinda better than what Disney made but a little bit chaotic for my taste.
Where Disney failed imo:
1. They buried and killed Luke Skywalker
2. They didn't include Mara Jade in the trilogy
3. They overpowered Rey
4. They killed Han Solo too soon
5. They killed Snoke too soon
6. They didn't make Finn proper Jedi
7. They didn't include other villains from books
8. They nerfed Knights of Ren
9. They focused more on unimportant scenes
10. They didn't show Rey's full backstory
Disney would not only save money but probably make a lot more too if they replaced Kathleen Kennedy and Bob Iger with an AI lol

The forge being there is not possible since revan would've destroyed it already, and revan being there made no sense although I would love to see him in cinematic, it should have been anakin speaking to her then going to save Ben afterwards. This was choppy story wise but still more enjoyable than ros

OMG this is so good! Serious quality entertainment that's respectful to the lore but stands on its own merits as opposed to throwing vague easter eggs and trying hard to be a film that's already been filmed. (Sigh) I know.

In my version of a reboot Sequel SW trilogy, Finn is the new "Luke" and Rey is the new "Leia".
I dont know about Revan, but watching these has been so fun. Also buttersweet cos i remember that Disney butchered the franchise

Star Wars, the rise of Skywalker was not good . The End !!!
Bringing back palpatine and anakin…is weird. I liked the first two episodes, this last one to me wasn’t very good. I think Star Wars needs to get passed the Anakin worship. He wasn’t that great of a guy even when he was on the light side. Disney missed the opportunity for a more acceptable retcon- making Luke the chosen one after all.
