i think you might be one of the most underrated music channels ive ever found. ive literally been binge watching all of your videos for the past 2 days and i love it! keep up the good work man ❤

“Imagine dropping the two most iconic albums of your career in the same year and having them be this different from each other” The only other artist I can think of that’s done something like that atm is Ben Gibbard in 2003 with Give Up by The Postal Service and Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie, the stuff on doom’s 2004 here just reminded me that my two favorite 2003 albums were fronted by the same guy

What I like so much about Orphans is that because of its length and how each disk is full of three different kinds of songs, it's basically an invitation for me to take my favorite tracks from each and sequence it into my own album. It's a lot of fun to put that together.

There's a crazy story behind the guitar solo on Transdermal Celebration; Mickey 'gained access' to Santana's signature guitar when he was touring in the area, recorded the solo, put it back and Santana wasn't any the wiser! That soaring solo tho.
I know it's kinda cliché but I think Lift Yr Skinny is solidly a 10, but what a great list!!! Lots of great recommendations and some fresh entries as well.
My fav album of the 2000s is Amputechture by The Mars Volta, which is also my all time favorite album. I only have kind things to say about it, and it has influenced everything about how I consume art and think about it.
The Mars Volta are the best band of all time and I'm glad to see a fellow Amputecture enjoyer (although Deloused is still my favorite of theirs and of the 2000s) it gets way too much hate.
My first thought when I saw this was "Man if I ever make one of these videos I'm totally gonna put that David Thomas Broughton album on it" AND THEN YOU PUT IT ON THERE YAYYY
