They’re closely dialed in but it sounds like the SLO is more aggressive and has a clearer gain character. As coveted as both amps are, I prefer the SLO here.
Sounds killer. Have seen a few of your vids with your SLO and you cop some great tones with it. I was surprised back in the day when I learned Adam D from Killswitch Engage was using an SLO on the ADA record. It all kinda adds up, it's not particularly known as a heavy metal amp but it's got loads of harmonic content and just sounds thick even if it can get a little wooly/fuzzy. Were you boosting it here, if you remember?
Diezel is more articulate and more scooped, better for low tunings, etc. Soldano has more mids and fatter for standard tunings, more "vintage high gain".
Yes, definitely great amp. It holds its own against the SLO100, and with the depth can sound just as big. It is a great live amp and can get loud enough to play with a drummer. John Browne toured with one in Monuments.

That's a sweet amp collection and I dig that prs as well, wicked top!
Its interesting how the SLO took a mean shit on the Diezel here.
No comparison. Soldano has buckets full of character. Far more juicy. Nice work mate

No boost on this. For any rock tones I don't typically use a boost. When I do Killswitch tones always a Maxon OD808

Are you running any noise gates through your signal chain?
For this video it was raw amps no noise gate. Sometimes I use a Fortin Zuul+ 4cm.
Hey I’m thinking of getting an early 2000s mesa os, would you recommend it?
Yes for sure, super great cab.
Those are the most coveted Mesa Cabs. Just make sure the speakers are the same era V30s

I have an opportunity to get a SLO-30 in a trade deal. Have you had any experience?
