This may be my new amp. I'm getting tired of plugins, and haven't had an amp since I sold my Mesa last summer. This thing sounds amazing.

The VH4 was my dream amp since 2005. I recently purchased VH2 and hooked it up to a pedalboard in a 4CM. Did not enjoy the sound.. sounded BOOMY. Then, I disconnected everything and go straight to my amp, 0 pedals and it sounds INCREDIBLE. This is an unbelievable amp, doesn't need any pedals. Just a good understanding of tone and volume knobs, and messing with the amp controls.
Peter Stapfer really loves his Van Halen. And why not! Great playing, backed by a great sounding amp.
The taper on those gain knobs is intense! Wow. Cheers gentlemen.

I like Mesas, Bogners, Riveras, 5150s etc. but none have the sheer gut-tone of the Diezel, that's where it hits you..

@@markgooch1715 like butter with a hot knife. You can't ever really explain a diezel to someone. You just have to experience it in person. Best mids you can buy. Turn down the bass and turn it up a little and no one will hear anything but you.

Mensch Peter (u. Peter), ich werd verrückt, hammer das Teil. Besonders gefällt mir die Eingangssequenz mit der Tele. Klingt einfach obergeil ... Super, was Du da wieder zamm geschraubt hast ... wird Zeit das ich mal wieder nach Bad Steben komme ;-)

never played this one but i tried the Dmoll at GC and i wanted it so badly i love the voicing of these amps.
Hey there, is it possible to dial the thickness out on the d-moll. I play heavy modern country and love Van Halen, but love a versatile amp? Don't need it that chunky

Some people on the boards have said the Diezel's are to polished, compressed and not enough high mids to cut live like a Marshall. What say you guys? ...I have a VH2 on the way!
Go to a TOOL concert and find out just how insanely loud and cutting they are. 😁

@diezel it lacks a tube amplifier in 25 Watt lunchbox format at 1500 euros in your range. it would be fantastic for guitarists to access your amps in this price range and keep the spirit of manufacture and the quality of the brand
Recently a VH-mini prototype popped up on the German used market.
Looked like a 20W 6V6 VH-2 with built-in load box, IR loader and headphone out!
Do these amps have EL34/6L6 switch inside?
Nice sounding amp. The mids sound a bit funky to my ear. A little boxy maybe. Not sure if it's the v30s though. I would love to hear this head with some heavy, JBL speakers or something similar. Maybe high watt EVs, something with little to no color from speakers.

Oh, so the vh2 is just channel 1 and channel 3?
It makes sense but it's unfortunate for someone like me who wants a vh4 for channel 2 & 3. Guess I just have to get the full 4 channel.
Definitely interest in what speaker and cabinet set up (rear or front, 2x or 4x) is in this video and what you recommend for home/studio players.
