I bought a vh4 after drooling over one for 20yrs. It does everything, seriously. Great pedal platform, great crunch , ch 3 is epic, channel 4 is really good too and often overlooked. Best amp purchase I’ve ever made. I bought a uk 230v version from Thomann and converted it over to 120v using the Diezel service manual. Saved about 1500 😊
You done a phenomenal job at showcasing this behemoth amp. Literally every tone you dialled in sounded immaculate. One of my favourite amps of all time
These are a 4 trick pony.. and worth every dollar for these 4 tricks. Four channels that are all badass. Pair with a great EQ pedal or multi channel EQ's you can expand those 4 tricks into anything and hundreds of tones. Truly my favorite amp ever made. I really love using a volume pedal with this amp. It truly makes it even further versatile. I can go on and on but i would write a book on how I really love these VH4 amps. Great job Zack!! Love it!
Cool thing that you added info related to riffs you are playing. In last week I am just listening to The Pot. Learned it on guitar and also created my own toollike riff inspired by their style which is so fun and satisfying to play. And that is all based on 1:04 - 2:15. Thx for great content Zach
Stellar tone and playing as usual man. It's crazy how accurate you are for tones and playing. Was great to see your premier guitar video as well. Stoked you're getting more recognition
The VH-4 was the first high gain amp I fell in love with. Your BE-100 deluxe video made me buy one of those and now I’m thinking I need a VH-4 as well.
Just awesome stuff! I had the opportunity to try one of these for the first time the other day, and Blackest Eyes was the first riff I played on it (crazy coincidence). Love your channel!
Diezel are kick ass amps, love my VH2! I m addict to this low/low mids compression they have.goes along very well with my 800! Great demo as usual zach!
That amp sounds incredible. The clean channel is particularly awesome. Your excellent playing sure did help though. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this...great job dude!
Very nice guitar playing and compliment the great tone from VH4. I use your video as a reference how the real amp sounds like and use that info to dial in my amp sim.
great playing. The amp sounds great. When I played with mine it always seemed a bit too stuffy to me, but for me your demo didn't have that problem. Awesome, thank you!
Man, always a pleasure hearing you playing, whatever you play it always sounds awesome. Whenever I see one of your videos, it always inspires me to pick up my guitar!!! Keep the good job rolling. Much love from Spain!!
I remember seeing your VH2 / Friedman shootout years ago, which helped me finally decide to buy the VH2 many years ago. Still my favorite amp, only issue is the weight of the thing! Need to get it retubed, but otherwise still absolutely rocks. Great video, Z!
I’ve been waiting for this one since you teased on Instagram. Sounds great. I actually just sold my VH4 and have been using the mini Marshall JCM800 of all things to silent record with instead. I’ve owned a couple Diezels now but I’ve been really curious about the Hagen. Hope you can get your hands on one and demo it some day. According to Peter Diezel it’s supposed to be a successor to the VH4 with all the changes he’s wanted to make to the original circuit over the years. And also, props for throwing in a Porcupine Tree tune!
I had a couple of VH4 and Vh2, also the Hagen and Herbert. For me if you want modern gain ,go for the Hagen or Herbert. Vh4 and Vh2 are great hotrod jcm versions, bassy and more clear, but vh4 and vh2 are NOT modern gain amps as a lot of people believes.
this is my dream amp. i have a greco which is basically a direct copy of the old les paul customs with the corpsegrinder necks and i need a VH4 to complete the look.
Great playing Zach! You always sound amazing in your demos. I have the VH4 and a JCM800 and even though CH3 is incredible, I find myself drawn more towards channel 2 with my Gibson LP. Just has an awesome chimey crunch like you demonstrated. I actually think the VH4 channel 2 sounds slightly better than the JCM800
Ok, Eye Of The Beholder hehe, it took me about 10 seconds on pause to get it! Love the vid man, I am definitely buying a VH4 for my studio even if it's an all black modern, brand new one. I love your white one...... really cool. I actually don't care if mine is 4500 bucks because it's the VH4 or the Snakeskin Soldano SLO100.
I would have never guessed Aerosmith got down so hard, walk this way was one of the heaviest riff I had ever heard as a kid. I really like this amp in this video, Im not a huge fan of it in my axe fx2, but I will try to push it to get closer to the sounds you demonstrated here.
My top two desert island amps right there on top of each other. Really impressed with how close the VH4 got to the JCM800. Great video to kick off the New Year! Thanks and Happy New Year!! 🤘🏻💥🎇🎆
Wow! The clean channel on this thing is unreal….channels 2 and 3 go without saying. But that first channel ate up the Strat 4 position like a super reverb on steroids. I gotta get me one of these… And I’ll second all of the blackest eyes compliments. That was a great choice for the opener 👍
Man that white diezel looks fucking incredible let alone how it sounds... I forgot about all other amps when I played thru a Dmoll head one day in guitar center. Absolutely the best amp I've ever played
YO ZACH IS BACK!!! Brother that was a killer run through of the legend that is the Diezel VH4. Peter Diezel is an absolute genius, have you seen the new Diezel VHX? That thing is atraight up sci-fi bonkers nuts lol. I remember qhen I 1st your videos and you were playing through a Diezel, god that was so long ago we're getting old bro. Keep rocking man 🤘🤘🤘🤘
My first Porcupine Tree exposure was that opening tune! It blew me away with its production quality…you nailed the riffs and tone here!
Not often you hear a 4 channel amp where every one of them is great. Amazing demo!
Thanks so much, definitely a cool amp!
It's not just the amp, its Zach! Im pretty sure he could make fridge sounds great!
Saved about 1500 😊
Diezels really are amazing. The only thing that really comes close is ENGL amps
@@lathrinyep. Some of the engl’s are killer amps. I’m hoping Peter does a 30w mini vh4 soon to compete in the 20-30w market.
@@andyblakely7576check out what they brought to the NAMM 2024 show 👀👀
Adam Jones’s tone on 10,000 Days is probably my absolute favorite, and you nailed it. Too bad I don’t have $4500 lying around somewhere…
Grab the vh 2. I have both that and the vh 4 and the vh2 is better imo . The modern gain channel is even better
I think we are the minority brother, 10,000 days is my absolute FAVORITE Tool album, followed closely by Lateralus.
@@Naughtforeye 10000 days is my favorite too
The Pot was the first Tool song I heard as a kid, so 10,000 Days will always be my #1 Tool Album.
Look in your couch ❤😂
Awesome to see some Black Breath. Great upload as always Zach!
Hell yeah love to hear some Eye of the Beholder!! Criminally underrated tune
You done a phenomenal job at showcasing this behemoth amp.
Literally every tone you dialled in sounded immaculate.
One of my favourite amps of all time

Great job Zack!! Love it!
I got say I never expected to see some John Mayer riffs here, hehe!
Amazing tones and play as always!
Happy 2024!
One of the best demos I've ever heard. AMAZING AMPLIFIER
Fantastic demo - brilliant playing and really showed the breadth of the amps capabilities. Makes me want one even more now.
I played one of these at Chicago Music Exchange in one of the practice rooms and it sounded incredible
One of the most badass sounding high gain amp heads ever made.
Was Jamming Porcupine Tree earlier. In Absentia is brilliant top to bottom
Wow! So much PT! Love it. Amp sounds stellar, as is the playing.
Thanks so much!
Wow that was awesome. Fantastic amp, very cool song selection and great playing! Thanks Zach!
Diezels are immortalized and rightfully so. They are still a favorite amongst session players, even in Nash for a reason.
Thank you Zach. I'm glad I found this today.
Cool thing that you added info related to riffs you are playing. In last week I am just listening to The Pot. Learned it on guitar and also created my own toollike riff inspired by their style which is so fun and satisfying to play. And that is all based on 1:04 - 2:15. Thx for great content Zach
Awesome! Thanks so much for checking out the video.
I love that your videos have very little processing! Your demos always have a nice organic raw sound!
This is the amp I’ve been searching for
This channel is therapy for guitarists, great riffs, great tone and especially GREAT playing.
What a banger riff for an opener!
The VH4 is a fantastic amp. It is empowering to all guitar wielders.
Holy cow. Haven't heard eat the rich in years. Great tune! Makes me want to go learn it now.
Song selection is terrific as always!
Straight to the point, no BS talking, I love it.
Excellent sounds and music variety!
Just freaking amazing amp, playing, guitars, can't say enough man.
Absolute kickassery as usual. A couple of your videos are the reasons I got a VH2🤘🏻
Thanks so much! The VH2 is awesome.
Stellar tone and playing as usual man. It's crazy how accurate you are for tones and playing. Was great to see your premier guitar video as well. Stoked you're getting more recognition
The tones coming out of this amp are just lovely. Its a bit expensive but it sounds so good.
Always the best songs!
I second that. You do pick good songs in all your videos. Thanks for doing these Zack!
Great demo of an incredible amp.
Thanks so much!
Superb review thank you, the Diezel VH4 is a great amp for its tonal richness so diverse.
Another great demo !!
My dream amp
Instant like here, your videos are always so inspiring! Awesome playing, great guitar tones, just the right dose of everything
Thanks so much!
That pt riff is so accurate, legend for a reason fr
The VH-4 was the first high gain amp I fell in love with. Your BE-100 deluxe video made me buy one of those and now I’m thinking I need a VH-4 as well.
If you like buying and playing different amps, don't buy a vh4. Because you won't be able to play anything else ever again.
Just awesome stuff! I had the opportunity to try one of these for the first time the other day, and Blackest Eyes was the first riff I played on it (crazy coincidence). Love your channel!
Nice job with Blackest Eyes. Perfectly duping the sound.
Diezel are kick ass amps, love my VH2! I m addict to this low/low mids compression they have.goes along very well with my 800! Great demo as usual zach!
Superb demo and great playing Zach! What an absolutely massive and versatile amp 🤘🏻😎🎸
In my opinion you're the best sounding guitar blogger on RUclips.
That amp sounds incredible. The clean channel is particularly awesome. Your excellent playing sure did help though. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this...great job dude!
Fantastic..as always
Awesome Demo... As usual !
Hell yes!!! Diezels ftw!
I don't even play guitar (yet) and I want this amp. 😎
I have Made in England Laney GH100L and never thought getting a new amp since 1995 but I heard amazing things about VH4.
Very nice guitar playing and compliment the great tone from VH4.
I use your video as a reference how the real amp sounds like and use that info to dial in my amp sim.
Tone Master of RUclips. Guitars and Amps alike. With now added Mayer tones to the mix. The boys at Naked Pictures are lucky 🦆s
great playing. The amp sounds great. When I played with mine it always seemed a bit too stuffy to me, but for me your demo didn't have that problem.
Awesome, thank you!
Try el34bht power tubes.
Man, always a pleasure hearing you playing, whatever you play it always sounds awesome. Whenever I see one of your videos, it always inspires me to pick up my guitar!!! Keep the good job rolling.
Much love from Spain!!
Thanks so much Raul!
Incredible video! I bought a 2023 EL34 VH4 and its by far the overall amp i have had , better even Herbert mk1 in mho. Happy new year !!
I remember seeing your VH2 / Friedman shootout years ago, which helped me finally decide to buy the VH2 many years ago. Still my favorite amp, only issue is the weight of the thing! Need to get it retubed, but otherwise still absolutely rocks. Great video, Z!
Dude, the top end on this amp sounds so crystal clear. Nice job, man! Congrats on the amp too btw, it looks sick in white.
I wish I never sold mine! Might get a VH2 or VH mini when it comes out. The mids and the gain are magic
what an awesome amp, I'm blown away. Great playing as always, Happy new year man !
I’ve been jamming that Black Breathe tube for months. Fav off that album. Rarely hear it riffed on. 👍🏼🙌🏼
Wow opening with a Porcupine Tree riff! Niiice!!!
A beast of an amp

Great vid! Nice to see someone show how much this can do. Most of my Helix patches come from a VH4- That Suhr cab nails it🙌🏻.
Happy New Year🥳
Great video!!! Huge fan of VH4’s. Love the Eat The Rich part 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Great vid man!

Agreed. Hagen is the sleeper imo.
Pure bliss killer demo again my man.
Thanks so much man!
Dam i loved this video sick playing
Thanks so much Eric! Appreciate the kind words.
Great demo! Now I need a video of the VHX before I pull the trigger on one!
You had me singing along with "eat the rich " lol
Super Zack, love it.🎸👍🎸
That PT intro gave me some great flashbacks ❤
Sounds great. Nice demo.
this is my dream amp. i have a greco which is basically a direct copy of the old les paul customs with the corpsegrinder necks and i need a VH4 to complete the look.
I think me and you have very similar taste, love it. SP Fan!
Excellent video!
Diezel are the best amps out there, imho. They’re expensive but worth every penny.
Was not expecting to hear Black Breath in this video lol awesome
Yup -- it sounds REAL good!
Great amp indeed! And I totally agree, channel 2 is à beast!
It’s a machine of an amp . Cool design too .
with a good overdrive in front of it you can get amazing low tuned high gain tones out of it too on channel 4
Porcupine tree. Nice playing
Ok fine…. Your one of the 3 channels that I will subscribe to
Great playing Zach!
Thanks! Yeah, I prefer channel 2 on the VH4 to an actual JCM800 as well. A bit tighter, a bit less brash on the top end. Great stuff all around.
Ok, Eye Of The Beholder hehe, it took me about 10 seconds on pause to get it! Love the vid man, I am definitely buying a VH4 for my studio even if it's an all black modern, brand new one. Thanks so much and same to you!
@@ZachWish you’re very much welcome and thank you also!
Awesome Demo! Love your tone and amazing playing Zach 👍🏻🙌
Damn dude i love tool/adam jones, and john mayer. Nice playing and tones.
Noice Zach - always a fine smorgasbord of riffmongery!😝🤟
"Welcome To Paradise" was so good, I almost thought the drums were going to kick in!
When you hear Joe Perry's work isolated you can realize how actually heavy it is. Amazing take on Eat the rich!!
its a massive riff aye.
Wow! The clean channel on this thing is unreal….channels 2 and 3 go without saying. But that first channel ate up the Strat 4 position like a super reverb on steroids. I gotta get me one of these…
And I’ll second all of the blackest eyes compliments. That was a great choice for the opener 👍
Love the Silversky... It's more twangy than a strat. amazing man..
Yeah! Really love that guitar. Thanks for checking out the video!
Man that white diezel looks fucking incredible let alone how it sounds...
I forgot about all other amps when I played thru a Dmoll head one day in guitar center. Absolutely the best amp I've ever played
Perfect tone for eat the rich!
Damn that made a Les Paul sound good with metal
Im impressed
