I have my VHX since March 2021. After years playing with a Kemper I wanted to have a real tube amp without losing all the benefits of the modern tech. The VHX is the answer to that need. The flexibility is amazing and for me it transcends Diezel fans and makes this amp the best amp for any use. If you think that you have all the voices, the shapes, the effects but not only the regular EQ section of the amp but also digital effects of EQ, compression, etc... There's almost nothing you can't do with this amp. And because you have all the memory presets ,you can recall any of the sounds you have designed at any moment with just a click on your midi control pedalboard. And it's easy to use, for those that hate deep menus and tweaking. Peter Diezel was a genius creating the sound circuits of the amps and Leo Polito is a genius that put all this together in one amp in a seamless way.
i’ve heard about kempers crashing i suppose these could too since most of the controls are computerized but at least the tone is real i can actually tell that the whitechapel albums with kemper sound fake as fuck i’ve gotten better tones from stock plugins

Diezel is high quality all the way. I had an Einstein years ago, one of the best amps I've ever had, but hated the tone. I've always been into the Marshall tone. I always wondered why Diezel never made a Marshall type of amp.
@Diezel Vh4 You need your ears checked, bud. Or you've never heard a Plexi. I played all Diezels except the latter ones like the Dmoll and they sound nothing like a Marshall. Diezels are too compressed to sound like a Marshall. To me it's an amp for rich 15 year olds so they can do their drop D bubble gum music all day.
And to me fender sounds like he'll. To me Marshall plexis sound like weak, bumpy, smooth, mid oriented, no bass, tinny, and like 1968 music. I like Clapton, I like Van Halen and Jeff Beck. Bit to me, there is a whole world beyond 1980s hard rock. This amp is for metal, and extreme metal. And also does versions of Clapton, Beck Van Halen, Extreme , Marshall 1959 super lead. Even Van Halen advanced and improved his tone since 1978. He did 5150s. He did the Stealth with 3 channels with fender. He made better sounding guitars later after the original Frankenstrat. He said even the $25,000 replicas sounded better. He made guitars with 3 guitar companies after 1978. This Diezel is a high performance state of the art high gain amp. It does tons of things a Two Rock and Fender and Marshall can't do.i like those 3camos two. Bit I like currentvhighbgain amps, too. I have a Herbert M2 amp and I love it. Please make a VHX 50, or please make a VHXS (to have 2x50w) and then have the option to have one 50w cab for the Dry sound, and have another 50w cab for the Wet effects for a Dry/Wet configuration with one amp and one stereo 2x12" Cab
Another solution, to have in the global settings an option to turn two power tube off, so it would force to reduce the wattage to 45-50w without removing any tube, and it could set back to 100w, so we can adjust the wattage according to the usage, venue size, etc…
@@politoleo Do you know if there will be a possibility to split signal and send the full analog dry signal to the power amp and send the digital wet signal to a loop out to another speaker? Ideally I would love a stereo VHX (like the VH4S they did in the past), a VHXS that would have 2x 50w power amp and could have either stereo signal or maybe even dry/wet signal... that would be PERFECT!
@@Spidouz you can place both of the 2 loop anywhere you like, before or after any FX and in any order. Then at the same time you already have the DRY that goes to the analog Poweramp and the IR can sim (that can be bypassed as well) one that goes out from XLR out and that can be used with the PA system or to record. Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but may already work out of the box. Also the loop can work as send only too, so you may use them to split the signal to 2, dry to one Poweramp and wet to the embedded one.
@@politoleo awesome features. Now I’m just hoping to get a 50w version, or a stereo version with 2x 50w like they did with the VH4S… either way would work for me. Never understood why these badass amps always get blues rock style players to demo them. Those tones belong with drop tunes and metal. Edit: I watched halfway into the video I was pleasantly surprised for about half a second.
This amps are not just Metal Amps... they amps that can do so much more than just Metal. And they proved it in this video doing all kind of music genre, to show this amp can be used by everyone, including blues and rock players.
Tone is subjective; one could think the Spider sounded like crap in comparison to the VH4 because tones and opinions are subjective… while component quality, quality of build, etc.. are totally objective and no one in his/her right mind would think Diezel is bad quality.
@@Spidouz In all fairness he probably didn't know how to eq. I guess tone is technically subjective, but most people seem to agree on what sounds good.
It depends. If you try to replicate a tone from a known song, then yes we can all agree if it does match or not. But if it’s for your own song, then you will surprised of different opinion about any given tone. I worked in pro studio and we had all the nice gear you can imagine, so I thought it would be easy to dial the “right” tone, and then I discovered that each guitarist has different taste, different hearing… some will like more bright than others (maybe older ears that don’t hear highs that well). Also compression could be a thing really hard to hear for some people; and finally it will depends on the kind of music you’re listen to. Someone that listen to blues all the time will have hard time to really hear all nuances in high-gain tones. And someone that listen to metal all the time might have hard time to hear all nuances in clean or edge of break up tones. We’re all human and we can’t know it all… and gear head (like most of us) often fall in the rabid hole to focus on the gear instead of the musicians. All the best gear in the planet won’t help if the musicians are bad. Good musicians will improve the overall tone without even tweaking gear to make it sound better. When a band is locked in tempo and play great, it will sound great regardless the type of gear. Long story short: it depends… so just use the gear you like ;)
@@Spidouz I agree that some musicians are so good that tone doesn't really matter that much. I guess good tone is subjective, but it does seem like most people agree on what sounds good or bad when they hear a tone. At the gig where my friend had a vh4 and the other guitarist had a line 6 spider, my musician friends who were with me all agreed that the line 6 was sounding much better than the 4k dollar vh4. I'm sure he just didn't dial it in well. It sounded like bass and gain were at 10 and the mid and treble were almost non existent

This is bs
