- One of the things that the show failed to do after season 3 is giving us savage Jaime from the books roasting people. But at least we got a bit of Ser Troll after all.

@@draydinbardon9782 by freeing Jaime, Caitlyn inevitably caused her own death, the Karstarks and Karstark men were mad and killed Lannister boys and Robb beheaded Rickard, and his army fell, and Roose sided with the winning side and killed Robb and Caitlyn.
it's weird how much the Starks and Tullys hated the Lannisters and they let their hatred get them in to a war that destroyed their family, when in actuality Tyrion and Jaime respected the Starks and Tywin didn't care for them, only Cersie and Joffrey disliked them.
Tywin literally was in a war with Robb and Catelyn until Jaime murdered them on the Red Wedding? I think the entire Lannister family hated except Tommen and Myrcella. Tyrion's case is arguably unknown for now.

@@Ar1AnX1x Tywin was preparing for the war before it officially begun. He gathered his armies way too quickly. This means he already knew there was going to be a war and Starks would be their enemies.

@@barkley8285 Tywin got prepared since Robert declared Ned as the hand of the king. Then after Bran's fall, there grew a tension between two houses.
I really like how they focus on Jaime’s right hand in the scene with Jon Snow. So much of his identity/pride/cockiness came from that hand.

It’s really funny - both Lannister brothers were trying to give Jon good advice. Tyrion’s was “don’t let them tell you what you are”, and Jaime’s was “yeah buddy I’ve been the kid about to commit to a lifetime of service at seventeen and lemme tell you that you might wanna give this one a good think-through.”
Jaime, after all, “we’d” the Kingsguard and look how that lifetime vow worked out for him. Dude’s been doing the trauma conga since he got on Aerys’ payroll

Jaime loved Cersei FAR more then he loved Brienne, it made total sense for him to leave, his ending was perfect.

That wasn’t love. The best way to explain Cersei and Jaime’s relationship is addiction. Cersei was like heroine to Jaime. It was toxic and consuming and overwhelmed his thoughts. We finally saw who he really was when he was in captivity with the Starks. Then he met Brienne. She was basically Jaime’s rehab. He should have left Cersei or the very least ended their relationship after Tommen’s death, which was 100% Cersei’s fault.
@@faithalmon1180 true but still this is Game of Thrones, we rarely get what we want, this is why I appreciated Jamie's ending. I think he did love Brienne but as you said, Cersei was like an addiction for him and in the end it killed him, but it doesn't change the fact that he had become a better person so it doesn't really ruin his character development, it just gives the character more depth. The only thing that ruined Jaime was the line "I never cared about them, innocent or otherwise" cause that's just bullshit

0:40 I always felt Jamie while being a bit spiffy and arrogant did respect Jon for wanting to join, when he himself didn't even ask to be in the king's guard, and it's a thousand times better than the position Jon was going to put himself in
I thought considering jaimes regrets through taking his vows he wouldve been trying to convince jon not to join a vow based organization that serves for life.
Though its probably just a line added in by the show writers to make jaime one of the bad guys and dump some exposition.

For me Jaime is the hottest man in GOT. Actually, although the Lannisters were the absolutly antagonists for me, two of them are my favorite characters: Tyrion and Jaime. The third one is Brienne 🙂

@@quissy4541 I liked her during her earlier introduction (around Jaime specifically) and in the last season. Around season 4 she just annoyed me, such as when her pride wouldn't allow her to just let Arya be.

A final season that was purposefully made in satire form would of been great, what we got was accidental satire.
Jaime had a sharper tongue than Tyrion. All Tyrion did were angry outbursts and demands for combat similar to Cersei. Jaime was actually witty and clever with his humor. Got so easily under people's skins. So much composure and charisma. Wish he kept the long hair and didn't lose a hand. My favorite character with Edmure. A lot of depth to both of them. Mistreated and abused by their families and relatives, both honorable and wise. Love them.

Actually, I think they decided to make Jaime more like Tywin and Eddard, so he was less sassy and more serious and honorable character in the later episodes.
