This version will be my first sonic purchase of Rubbertoe, should hopefully be picking mine up soon. The 9-10's designs by far my favourite of the lot of screwdrivers.
@@suitwo That's awesome to hear dude! Honestly you’ll absolutely love it! Rubbertoe makes some amazing replicas. The Ninth & Tenth Sonic designs are some of my favorites too, there's just something so iconic about them! I hope you enjoy your first Rubbertoe Sonic Screwdriver! 😁🪛
@@jacobl8197 That’s wonderful to hear! I’m glad you love it, I think it was definitely worth the wait. Enjoy every moment with your new Sonic, and thanks for watching man 😁
@@eventheoddss Thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. The Tenth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver is truly iconic. I'm happy to share these replicas with fellow fans like you, thanks for watching man! 😎
That's fantastic to hear, Tommy! I saw your pictures on Instagram, and yours does look like a beauty. I'm glad that you're as happy with yours as I am with mine! 🤘
Fantastic video, really enjoyed your demonstration and thoughts! Great that you compared three different variants and each plus and minus. Love your thoughts and take. I agree with you the cream is a fantastic and high quality piece. For me, one of the highlights of the range. Thanks again for your video and work! 👏👍🔥 James
Hey James, Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, the cream really is a standout piece, isn't it? Thanks again for watching and for your thoughtful comment! 😎😉
Got mine a few days ago and am absolutley in love with it. Mines number 6. It honestly seems flawless, and i'm so glad they have now used the custom sound chip with the accurate sound for this sonic. I remember seeing reviews for the original rubbertoe 10th doctors sonic and the use of the 11th doctors character options sound chip was the one reason why i never picked that one up. So glad they changed it this time around.
Thanks for watching man! Glad to hear you're loving your Sonic Screwdriver, number 6 is an awesome catch, nice and low! The new sound chip makes such a difference, doesn't it? Like you, I was really glad they switched to using an accurate sound, it really adds that extra touch of authenticity. Enjoy your Sonic Screwdriver dude! 😎
@@Knightlightt They’re usually made in batches, the first 200 have sold and are currently being shipped out to customers. The next batch of 50 is currently what’s listed on the website for pre-order. Same with the Wide Slider, Sonic Pen & Fourteen’s Sonic, all are available for preorder 😎
Can always count on you to get a review up nice and quickly. Great review for the blue strip. Is it not a blue strip of plastic cut out from a sheet, then glued in I think that's been the same on all, is it no. Still waiting in anticipation for mine
Thanks for watching dude and thanks for your comment! You’re right, the blue strip can vary between replicas. On some models, it’s a piece of cut-out blue plastic acrylic, while others, like the Little Shop Props Grey Aztecs, use painted acrylic. I’m glad you enjoyed the video, and I hope your Rubbertoe Sonic Screwdriver arrives soon!
Great review of the sonic! Wish I had the money to buy some of these. This screwdriver is one of my favourites, but I prefer the wire twist of the 9th.
@@Ghost_Boardy Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The Ninth Doctor's Aztec is definitely another favourite! Hopefully, you'll get the chance to add some of these to your collection one day dude! PayPal pay in 3 comes in handy with these 😉
This is gonna be my first (probably only!) Tenth Doctor screwdriver. Feel like it represents that era really well, and it bridges into the Moffatt era too as the cream prop ended up appearing (and getting it's paint ruined) in The Eleventh Hour. Plus the MFX version in Day of the Doctor had a somewhat similar coloration. I like the cylinder packaging they've been using since the Laser. Wonder if it's gonna become the standard for everything he sells. Suppose the included base is the deciding factor, since you're not getting a Twelfth's base into a tube lol
@@alastormedial Thanks for sharing your thoughts man! The Tenth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver is such an iconic piece, and I agree, this one does capture the essence of that era quite well. It's interesting how these props evolved and changed across the series, I love them all aha. The packaging is a great too, I hope Rubbertoe keep the tube style packaging for for future releases! I hope you enjoy your new Sonic Screwdriver dude!😎🪛
Great video once again! Just got mine and I love it apart from mine doesn't stay open like yours. Oh and btw the bottom black part of the 9th sonic shouldn't come off. Mine did and I messaged Nick and he told me to glue it when fully extended
Got mine the other day. Keep an eye on the button "rod". Mines fallen out many times and I almost lost it last night. Shame because otherwise its perfect
Sorry to hear that dude! Thanks for the heads-up though, I’ll definitely keep an eye on the button rod. It’s a shame that’s an issue, but glad to hear it’s otherwise perfect. Enjoy your Sonic Screwdriver man 😎
That’s awesome! I’m sure you’ll love your first Rubbertoe! It’s always exciting getting a new Sonic Screwdriver. The 14th Sonic will be a fantastic addition as well. Thanks for watching man, and I hope you enjoy your new Sonic Screwdriver! 😄
How many days did it take for this sonic to arrive, after you paid the second invoice? I emailed Nick on Friday and he sent out the second, which I paid immediately. 😁
I would love to get the series 4 sonic screwdriver. I just can’t afford the high price tack unfortunately I’m by the time I can afford it. It will have already gone out of stock so that sucks but it looks amazing to be fair. ❤
@@foryoon0217 Thanks dude, it’s a beauty! That's awesome to hear! I’m sure you'll love it, such a great piece. Number 20, just before mine number neighbour! I hope you enjoy your new Sonic Screwdriver when it arrives! 😎🪛
Did you miss the crack in your acrylic and the emitter being inaccurately machined? Apparently the entire batch has bad emitters. I’ve emailed Nick several times to remind him to make sure mine is perfect since I’m in the USA and that I can wait so he can ship my 14th and 10th together. I haven’t gotten tracking so hopefully he listened to my plea and makes sure I get a good emitter and uncracked acrylic.
@@StillaRebel2489 Yeah I noticed the crack right after finishing the video when I took a closer look at everything. It's a shame really because it's the only thing that detracts from it. I heard that the original emitters had issues, which is why the release was delayed, but I haven't heard anything about the new batch of emitters having problems. Personally the emitter on mine seems to look and feel okay. Hopefully, Nick addresses your concerns and ensures you get a perfecto version for both the 10th and 14th. Fingers crossed everything arrives flawless for you! 🤞🏽😁
@@SameSonicDifferentCase apparently the entire new batch was machined improperly also. In between the posts should be completely rounded, but they’re like flat-round-flat. It would be much easier to post a picture of what I’m trying to describe lol. Compare the emitter to your other ones. Who knows, maybe you did get a good one. I can’t see too well in the video. I’m waiting on a reply from Nick. Hoping he didn’t send mine out just yet. I didn’t get a tracking number so fingers crossed.
I've bought 3 things from Rubbertoe over the years and never received tracking or dispatch notice lol. It's always a surprise when it shows up, but would be frustrating to lose something and not even know it's missing.
so many problems during the years of his product for the price its unacceptable . I see so many other prop replicas at third the price he charged without any issues
@@Professor_Toothpaste They’re extremely expensive yes, but also so worth it! PayPal pay in 3 comes in very handy with these, especially when they’re on pre-order, both payments using pay in 3 you can essentially make it a pay in 6 😉
@@JSedits589 You're right, it does have a crack in. I noticed it right after finishing the video when I was taking a closer look. It's a shame since it's the only flaw, but sometimes these things happen 🤷🏻♂️😁
@@SameSonicDifferentCase I did notice they had issues with the emitter head though with the machining. Apparently they had them remade a few times but were sent out with some flaws still, which is a shame. I like everything else about it though.
