Hey there, Do you know if the original e revo brushless has production faults with the slipper clutch assembly? I’m perplexed about why my erevo original 1/8 keeps eating spur gears after barely running . Any info appreciated My thought was, traxxas wouldn’t have released erevo 2.0 just for the obvious Bluetooth, waterproof features. I’m guessing they cleaned up all the problems that the original has. 🍺
Not that I'm aware of bud, I'd try and set the spur and pinion a little closer with a little less backlash and see if that helps, you still want backlash ofcourse but with the gears meshed a little closer together may help keep that from happening
I would monitor your temps if your temperatures aren't getting to high id keep the gear ratio a little higher just to try and tame those Wheelies down a bit
No there is slippery disk or polished washer. That's where the slippage happens. So the smother the surfaces the tighter you can go and UT will still slip. I sand out any grooves or roughness and polish to finish . Unless you heat it up its good for a while. Much like disk brakes on cars.
Now you got me thinking about getting the 54 tooth, thinking I'll just wait till I see your next video and go from there.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Brian coble i cant wait to run it, im just waiting on a shock witch should be in next week
reducing the spur from 65-54 makes it faster (top speed wise), less torque, more speed
Andre Mcbreairty yeah im trying to keep it from fliping on its lid every time i hit the throttle it just has too much torque with that 65 tooth spur
Thx, it helped a lot! Keep up the Good Work!!!
Thanks bud, glad it helped
👍 thank you. Great video
you gave me so many rights, I want to give you a left! Nice info thx
Thanks bud, glad it held
I think what you need is a wheelie bar rather then just gearing it up and make your motor work harder.
backlashD i agree bud this thing defiantly needs one, ill be checking the temps on this truck when i start running it
I got a wheelie bar and it made life much easier. Before the bar I couldn't keep 4 wheels on the ground.
That motor will handle a 120+mph gear setup just for your guys info

hanging out
josh how you been bud, yeah will have too soon man
I'm doing alright just chilling and ya
if i had a dollar for every time he said alright, I'd be rich af.
Is running 18/54 with 6S Lipo ok to run, or should I change back to the 64T? Thanks in advance.

Do those three pads make contact with the spur? Like do they touch once you put the spur gear on

Would this be the same gearing as the revo 2.0
I'm really not to sure bud, i cant remember what gearing the 2.0 came stock with off hand but now I'm curious.
FullThrottle Obsessions alright bro it all good the only reason is because I might be getting the 2.0
2.0 has no clutch it's direct drive
Hi is there a certain way the clutch pads go?? Like which side of the pad faces the outside
Electric Rc Beats Nitro theres no direction othere then bottom and top, either side of the pad could be used as the friction side
it says in the directions to make sure the flat edge of aluminum pads facing out and round edge is down .......
What is the esc?
Esc is short for Electric speed control
what size pinion
craig mcclellan im still running the stock pinion
