Oh! and here is an Instructable if you want/more details of this build/jig. www.instructables.com/id/Improved-Jig-F%C3%B6r-PunchingStamping-LettersNumbers-S/
I LOVE the clear edge!! Heading out to my garage to make one this morning! I enjoy metal stamping for my jewelry projects but get so frustrated with things not lining up the way I want. THANK YOU for sharing this video!
This is great. One of the most annoying things is that these don’t really just exist. It should come with every punch set. I don’t know if I’m up for the nauseating math and time but I’d like to make one similar but with thin sheet metal separators so i can leave a space and not worry about alignment or spacers or hold angles. Maybe even a u shaped bracket that hugs the punch I’m on.
Big thanks for the encouragement Bruce! I know this isn't as good as that "tape roll" solution of yours! haha! :-)Thanks again - have a great day and all the best to you!
Thank you my friend! Yeah! Sometimes it's quite alright if the letters looks like they been put on there by a 4 year old, but some projects require sharper alignments. All the best to you!! :-)
Thanks for that! Yeah, It works quite good. If I were to make it again. No spacers. Better to force the stamps in for even better alignment. Should work on leather too me thinks! Tack igen och på återseende snart igen! 😊👍
Aaaaaaaaand he’s back!! And he exposed BOTH hands this time! Good heavens, we might see ankles by summer! I tried making a jig like yours but didn’t like the way it spaced. Maybe throw in some blank wood pieces between the words? Good improvement man!
So wierd right? "But I'm back baby!" :-) (George Costanza voice) I'm never going full monty... again. Haha. Yeah, I made a couple of wooden spacers to go along with this. Also, with the transparent side, you can freehand the space better. Thanks my friend! Hope you day will be better than awesome!
@@dekeros-recreationalwoodwo6456 a bit of hiatus going on at the moment but I probably have something coming up by the end of the year. Work and kids are priority right now so I haven't been able to make time for woodworking.
😊 Sorry! I never found where to get one. So I made it.

+1566...Hello my new friend. I especially like wood work. You have nice projects and videos on the channel. I'm happy to be on the channel. It's a really nice idea to jig your letters directly for punching or stamping. Congratulations. Thank you for sharing. I want to see you on my channel. Warm embrace. Great greetings. Yours truly....
Hmm... never had that question. Don't really need to talk I figured. Never knew it was a requirement. I never stated I would talk while making anything. Not in any title or description. I myself, enjoy watching how-to videos without voice overs and talking, clearly you don't. Thats OK. Thanks for watching anyway and there is a documented how-to with steps linked to instructable. (But no voice or talk there either). :-)

This is what I love about RUclips, sharing simple but effective ideas. This was certainly helpful to design my own JIG. Thanks for the sharing!
Sorry for my late reply. I thank you kindly for your comment. Cheers!!

Brilliant idea for a jig, keeps everything straight and with the spacer you can do multiple words. Great job
thank you my friend!!
So simple, yet so effective! Now to watch your simple dowel maker jig 🥰
Glad you liked it - and thanks for the comments and your support! Much appreciated!

great little idea !
Thank you soo much for watching and commenting! :-)
Nice to see you back at it!
This is great idea and use full tq
Excellent project, thanks for showing. Making one for leatherworking, maybe a couple for the different sized punches I have. Cheers for this😊
Big thanks for that! Really nice to hear. :-) love your name too. haha
Never thought of that, so I think I'll have a go at one of those. Those punchs are a pain to align on their own. Keep it up bud
Thank you my friend! Yeah! Sometimes it's quite alright if the letters looks like they been put on there by a 4 year old, but some projects require sharper alignments. All the best to you!! :-)
Yes! I soo need this, I always mess up the alignment and spacing when doing those letters!
Thanks for the idea and for showing how to make one 👍😀

Cat got your tongue? Why make how to videos if you are afraid of speaking?
