got mine last week, it flies great. just make sure the centre of gravity is correct, I used the wing spar that you can see through the foam to find the cg. Even with the battery fully forward it was a little tail heavy so I hotglued a 5 pence piece inside the nose and it flies great now
+mick clitheroe Great to hear Mick. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Heeeeej! I've been wondering how good/bad this plane is (especially for beginners) for a LONG time :D
So thank you for bringing us this video :)
The pictures at banggood with the wing on backwards had me a bit concerned :$
It looks to be doing well though!
+DutchRC Adventures For the money it was HUGE fun and a beginner doesn't need the complication of ailerons. Very hard to crash and break it so a beginner wouldn't get disheartened as they might with a more complex trainer. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
+Essential RC Very good Dom :) I've allways been a bit on the fence about ordering planes from BG to be honnest :$ The Wilga 2000 I have here from them didn't arrive undamaged, but a smaller plane like this motorised glider would be easier to ship I guess :)
+TheJahful Agreed! In this case the packaging was flauw though.. The control-horns pressed directly into the other wing-half.. 2 servo's weren't glued in well enough eighter.. The box itself looked just fine from the outside..
Thanks for the review...it was my first plane. It worked great....I had to give a little trim, and put a penny in the nose with the battery and I was good. Quite a few tough landings..and everything popped right back into place. I lost it....lol...but that was my fault. I'm going to order another one.
you didn't mention you do have a high rates on this plane and will do loops ..loved the video. good as always
How do you get the wings to stay in? Mine keep falling off before it takes off. This is my first rc plane and was just gifted it any tips would be appreciated TIA!!!!
Don't remember what the attachment is for the wings. Surely there's a screw?
Hello Essential R C! We sent you a private message, pls check!
Replied guys. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
this rc plane truly is really bad had it for one day until servo for rudder broke flew into a tree and crashed down to the ground after further inspection the board was made in 2015 and i bought it in 2020 and the rudder servo was completely corroded and the wire was burnt and rusted and the seller didn't offer a refund, replacement or even a discount on a new one DO NOT BUY THIS RC PLANE
There's a hole for the battery so it doesn't move foam isn't needed
True. It's a small compartment and the battery fits nice and tightly so doesn't move around. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
this little plane is a winner just make sure you secure the wing properly to the plane cause they will come off in flight do to wing flex.
Mr Dom do you know of any adjustment in that Pusher moter looking at it Its Cockeyed. IM SURE I DID IT
BUT I FLOW THE HECK OUT OF IT TILL I CRASH THE HECK OUT AND IT!
I AM A REAL RC PILOT! NOT A VERY GOOD ONE BUT I AM LIFE TIME GOUL AND I DID IT I AM READY FOR SOMETHING BIGGER Better Faster! But still Cheap
It is supposed to be cockeyed. Side thrust. Makes it go straight.
Keep at 499 likes??
I have beat mine up pretty good, but it is tough. My wings just came off in flight and when they folded back one wing came in contact with the prop. The good thing is parts are cheap and available, it is the perfect beginner plane. I am waiting for new wings and a prop to arrive, it only cost like 10 dollars : ] Great review!
+Steve B Thanks Steve. Good to hear you like yours and thanks for the feedback. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
MERCI !!👍
Lol I thought he said , to launch , you need faith in your left hand 😂
Does the battery charger that comes with the kit what they call a smart charger to make sure that the cells are balanced charged? Is the one of the cheaper type foams used on airplanes and can it be repaired with basic CA glue or hot glue without damaging the foam? Thanks for any info.
It does charge through the balance plug not the main lead you plug into the ESC so yes, I suspect it does balance the cells. It's made from an EPO type foam so yes you could use CA glue buy I would recommend using a spray on accelerator/kicker if you do. Don't use hot glue on something this small. It is messy way of gluing and is too thick. My personal preference would be to use UHU-POR. Takes longer to cure but gives a stronger joint. CA glue joints are quite brittle. I tend to only use it on wood joints as it penetrates the wood fibres. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Why is it that the cheapest plane goes for 15-20 minutes and the $300 one I just bought goes for 10 or less? Pretty shit.
Powered gliders will always fly for long time. Just the way it is. Less energy to keep them airborne. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
without your helpful instruction i would not have been able to enjoy flying this plane.
That's great to hear Mark! Appreciate you letting us know that. Always ask if you need help with any other aspect of RC. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Excellent review! Do you think it can perform well under low to moderate wind?
Yes
out of stock from gearbest. but got it from bangood to me usually cheaper. nice review as always
Cool, thanks
I think for a beginner its ok but you'll an experienced rc pilot to trim the plane properly on its maiden flight then I believe a newbie can take the controls.
Its recommended to break-in a brushed motor in distilled wattery w a low voltage battery. Will help improve longevity and run smooth.
Well if you can get the motor out of the plane without damaging it you go for it buddy! LOL Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
so, the servos do not control the ailerons at all(seems like they do not exist)! am I right? Seems to have only two inside the main body, on the main circuit board. All the control surfaces seems to be on the tail, looks like it uses the elevons/elevators to control roll and pitch, is that information correct? The second servo seems to serve rudder control. Can you answer me that? Thanks.
This is a 3 channel plane. It has elevator, rudder and throttle. Does not need ailerons. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
thanks! I needed a similar kit but with servo controlled ailerons as well. Something also big enough to house sg90 servos and some extra electronics.
if I am not mistaken that concrete pad looks like a disc golf tee. great flying and video, cheers mate.
+Kjell Kittelson Was in middle of a park. Probably access to water pipe underneath it. Similar to what you'd see on golf courses. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Got mine last week and flew it a couple of times now. Seems that you need a lot of right rudder trim because I noticed that the engine is installed, from the factory, canted to the right. It’s not my favorite crew airplane to fly. It doesn’t turn to well either!
This is the old 3 channel version with throttle, elevator and rudder. The new version, the F959S, has ailerons and therefore turns much better. ruclips.net/video/i1LEorR6pdM/видео.html
@@EssentialRC I think no version has ever been released with ailerons?
i notice the foam of this plane very good
Nowadays do you have to pay import tax on something like this?
Into the UK...sometimes yes, sometimes no. With something this small and cheap generally no. FYI this is the older version. Please look at our review of the F959S. A big improvement but still very cheap. ruclips.net/video/i1LEorR6pdM/видео.html
is that ruskin park???
Comment créer ça???
面白い?
can I use a 7.4v battery with 1000mah?
or can I damage the board?
Think this is a 1 cell setup so I suspect not. You could try but would probably burn out the motor or speed controller fairly quickly. You might blow up the receiver. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
@@EssentialRC it's a 2s setup. But a 1000 mAh battery will be too heavy and to big for it. I'm buildung one right now, just the foam with hobby grade parts inside, and I can't fit a 500mAh inside without surgery of the fuselage.
Hi excellent fly , I got my own yesterday and I couldn't fly note that 20 seconds ahjajaj and I crashed all the time ....please give me goods recommendations jejeje
It's all about practice El. Just try flying a half throttle to stay with. Fly over grass so if you crash it does not damage the model. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

Well for me the first thing that happened is that when i plugged in the battery the plane sparked and the engine started running at full power despite the remote being off. After a few more times of unplugging and replugging the battery the receiver worked but the servos quit :(
Sorry to hear that. Talk to their customer support. I suspect they will sort you out. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
+Essential RC Well turns out that the servos burnt out cause i plugged the battery in the wrong way :(
Ah...that wouldn't help but the shape of the plug should prevent that. You must have really pushed them together hard. :
No the guy at the shop told me that just touching the cables wrongly caused the spark D:
Ok so i fixed the receiver and it is terrible. It is very difficult to fly and fuselage broke when i landed the plane at a 45 degree angle due to wind. After a few more crash lands the receiver stopped working and the engine ran at full power after i turned off the remote (the same as the last time). When i got home i tried again the engine ran at about 3/4 power but the receiver worked. The servos were moving but i could only control the throttle between 3/4 and full power :( any suggestions?
Seems to be a very good choice.
+Armando Campos I think so. For a taste of RC flying it's a great little model. Info on it here goo.gl/ux2aHq Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
hi i hope you will answer me can you tell me what is throttle trim and fine adjustment because i has this plane and i dont know what that function does
Not used it Carman but normally throttle trim is used on gas engine powered RC aeroplanes to set the idle speed of the engine. We don't really use it on electric RC aeroplanes. Don't worry about it.
@@EssentialRC Thank you so much for answering!
did you add any weight on the cockpit to achieve the 30-33mm CG or just flew it out of the box? Mine keeps on nosediving after being launched. Its nose pretty banged up just glued them.
Nope. Def no weight added. Look at the angle of the motor. Maybe it's loose in the foam. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
im amazed at how you could steer it so easily. I keep on practicing.
I bought this plane off eBay for $70, and was a total piece of rubbish. The tail controls are terrible, I couldn't even fly it, along with a a very underpowered engine. Biggest waste of money in my life, would only recommend the horizon hobby's champ rtf.
Weird that so many people can fly it but you can't, is it the plane or is it you?
@@Studentofgosset I can't fly an Airbus A320 either. Piece of junk. No wonder Sully dumped it in the river! ;-)
