Great video, Setup up pretty good too. 1 degree toe out at front is the "suggested" setting, but I find that anything past .3 - .4 will start to change your camber angle when drifting, therefore your Camber (Contact surface) will no longer be near 0 degrees when drifting, which is Ideally what u want. Also when Drifting your tire will gain about 1 degree of Rear toe out (which you dont want) which you can fix by adding 1 degree of rear toe in. Lastly when it comes to tire Pressure, especially at the rear, I believe its a question of preference, if you have high pressure (anything above 28 imo) your car will be Slidy and less grippy, but you're gonna have a hard time building and maintaining speed, (especially for long extended drifts), lower tire pressure = much easier building and maintaining speed. But Overall good advice and great Video.
You are a literal life saver. I've been wanting to get better with drifting (starting from basically no practice), and your tutorial set my 2008 BMW M3 up PERFECTLY for drifting. Just pretty much followed what you did and made a couple adjustments to fit what I wanted to go for. Now all I need to do is just remind myself it's a drift car, don't try and straighten it out! 😂
Best setup video I’ve seen… my s13 glides with ease up and down the volcano and doesn’t rev out in 5th. Easy to kick back out if needed without dropping gears
Bro this video was dopeee, I tried it on my Supra and I started drifting sooo well, the gearing helped so much and now I’m drifting way longer, and so much more controlled, keep it up bro💯💪🏿💜
Hey, really amazing video, and well explained and it helped me out a ton. I usually watch HokiHoshi, but your videos are just as good or even better. Well done.
@@C18Motorsport I would love to see more tuning guides especially for FH5. Not too many out yet since the game came out, so this is my patient request. Or, can you confirm that tuning is more or less the same as FH4? I feel with the new suspension and updated tire physics if it's different to tune, if that changed anything? No rush replying, keep it up!

i know this video already 9 month.. but i just got this games last week.. and after about 10 tutorial video i watch, finally this particular video help me find the tune and get me start to drift well.. thanks man.. really love your video.. i use steering wheel btw.. 😁👍
Really useful video, but hate the elitist "awd isn't real drifting" because it was never actually viewed that way, people opted for RWD because drifting a AWD in real life is actually stupidly hard to do, you need tons of power to break traction on all four wheels, combined with the added cost is what made RWD the popular choice, AWD is becoming more popular now since we are able to produce the power needed, besides iirc even the FD rules don't say the car cannot be AWD
Best video I’ve seen so far. This has helped so much I was struggling for 3 hours the other day trying to figure out the tuning in this game and watch several other videos and this was by far the most helpful
thank you so much ... great video , good quality audio , straight foward instructions , no time wasting ... love your work ... you gained a sub my dude
Awesome video, I happen to enjoy automatic awd drifting with the fd rx8 mainly having complete control using throttle control with abs off tc off and stability off. Took me a bit but I can drift for hrs now lol. This video is great tho and I'm now going to try this out
@@C18Motorsport I do it also it's not as bad as you think. If you just hit the brake one good time it'll just downshift once and you can initiate off that roll from the braking too. It'll hold the revs out without upshifting if you hold it right. Manual is definitely better but it's doable in auto
@@C18Motorsport I actually just tune the cars gearing so that 1st gear can reach around 120mph, it's enough to drift anywhere without having to shift. Top speed is still ridiculously high usually between 240-270mph depending on the vehicle but for awd automatic shifting thats how I fix the shifting problem when drifting lol, the cars torque and hp can easily let me go almost to a standstill if I want while still burning rubber and shoot back up to high speed burning rubber nonstop, it's perfect.
You should test out the tune I made for the forsberg gold leader, in tune search description type in "280z J" I turn off t.c. abs and stability, standard steering. Another great tune I made is for the hoonicorn v2 "HJ"

Author misses a bit. Tire width upgrade 1 allows traction and forward push while the car is breaking traction or "seating" (look it up the definition yourself, but it means settling into a drift position). Upgrade Zero (no upgrade) the car basically just slides horizontally (sideways). Edit: This is true acrossed many Forza titles.
Yeh this isnt a tune buddy just a general grasp of how to tune, you should always just use this as a baseline and then adjust the car for your feel, i set all my cars up like this first then adjust little bits depending on feel of car
valve bouncing means hitting the limiter in a gear, so say you are in 4th and the rev counter keeps going fully into the red and bouncing of the limiter

Nissan Silvia
