"Nobody is perfect", Some like it hot. For younger folks: In the movie Some Like It Hot, Jack Lemmon’s character Jerry is dressed as a woman and is being pursued by Osgood, who proposes marriage. Trying to end the proposal, Jerry says, "I'm a man!" to which Osgood replies, "Nobody's perfect."
I hate how Victor Fleming showed how he couldn't direct actresses any better than I could pole vault. So her delivery of that line was nauseatingly hammy. I'll bet she hated it, too.
@StefanMyrnes , watch the movie again. Rhett said that, then left. Scarlett goes over to the stairs, sits down, and remembers all the voices of the past telling her where her heart REALLY was: Tara. Then she delivers her line.
“Well, I’m back.”- the last line SamWise Gamgee said when he returned home to his family knowing that his life is completely different now because of the journey he went on and after bidding Frodo goodbye when he, Gandalf, Bilbo, and the elves departed to the Grey Havens, That final line gets me in tears every time and then they keep coming once they walk into the house and Sam closes the door. Making the story feel complete.
@10:25 Chris did not die in a bar fight; he died trying to break up a fight between two men in a fast food restaurant. That's an important distinction. Chris was always looked down upon and labeled by the know-nothing adults as a dead end kid, but he wasn't. He was a good kid and a peacemaker. Through hard work he rose above his troubles and found success only to have his life cut tragically short trying to keep the peace.

Dinner at Eight 1933: - "I was reading a book the other day." - "Reading a book!" - "Yes. It's all about civilization or something, a nutty kind of a book. Do you know that the guy said that machinery is going to take the place of every profession?" - "Oh, my dear, that's something you need never worry about."
I would say if there was a Hall Of Fame for movies with iconic closing lines, they would be Chinatown, Wizard Of Oz, Back To The Future, Sunset Boulevard, and Casablanca
Originally Casablanca was to end with the line "Round up the usual suspects." -- that was enough for an intelligent audience to realize that the French captain had chosen the side of the allies. But since most people are not quick on the pick-up, the producers wanted the final scene above, added.
"I Hate Rock n Roll" spoken by Arnie's real girlfriend from Christine and with all she and their friend and everyone went through with that damned car (literally) who can blame her.
Which of these do you find the most memorable? Let us know in the comments below!

I was going to make a comment saying the same thing!
I'm surprised "Gone with the wind," wasn't mentioned on here with "tomorrow is another day!"
I was genuinely expecting that to be number 1.
@@catherineholland9465I literally came to the comments to make sure I wasn’t the only one who thought that.
