Honorable Mentions: Everybody Loves Raymond, The Nanny, Family Matters, Laverne and Shirley, Welcome back Kotter, and Living single. And we’re just going to ignore The Cosby Show, right? It never existed as one of the most funny, popular and beloved sitcoms of all time? Gotcha.
The Is Bull No Living Single, when it’s known and proven that friends was carbon copy, even the original name for living single was Friends No Martin? No Cosby? No good times? Different world?
How are you going to leave out The Cosby Show? That show was #1 for five straight seasons and was a ratings hit. It portrayed African Americans in a positive light as an upper middle class family. But anyway, here are a few others worth mentioning: 1. Good Times 2. Family Matters 3. The Bob Newhart Show 4. The Beverly Hillbillies 5. Petticoat Junction 6. Laverne & Shirley 7. Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. 8. Martin
“Three decades in the game, and my fans still adore me! You tried alien skulls and chose poorly! Your whole story got blown up on sitcom, there's a Big Bang you can't hide in a fridge from!” Lara Croft
1. George Lopez 2. Children's Hospital 3. Spin City 4. Mike and Molly 5. Steve Harvey Show 6. The Parent 'Hood 7. Unhappily Ever After 8. Married With Children 9. Just Shoot Me ! 10. Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell 19. The King Of Queens 20. Saved By The Bell
Honestly this is a hard list to make there are SO many great sit coms! I love the list. I definitely want to watch all in the family now! And some of those 2000's classics I've missed like Community and Arrested. Parks and Rec will always be my #1 Comfort show ❤
MASH was not a sitcom. It was not a drama. It was a law unto itself. No show in the history of television has so perfectly weaved comedy and drama into something so unique and powerful. No matter how you categorize it, any lower than #1 is an insult.
Great list and can not wait to see part two as there are so many more great sitcoms that weren't added here, to name a few The Cosby Show( despite the controversy about Bill Cosby himself, to not mention the greatness of that show would be wrong), A Different World, Mork and Mindy, LaVerne and Shirley, The Dick Van Dyke Show, My Three Sons, Welcome Back Kotter, Good Times, Maude; just to name a few.
My top 3 is…… 3. All in the Family 2. Seinfeld 1. I Love Lucy I think the reason that I love Lucy does not take the number one spot is because it came out in the 50s and isn’t as recent as Seinfeld
Mine is Mash second is Cheers, third is Andy Griffith fourth is I Love Lucy honorable mention Growing Pains, The Facts Of Life, Three's Company Too Close For Comfort Coach Home Improvement, Roseanne (80's) Get Smart (60's) Dick Van Dyke Perfect Strangers. Etc.
Living Single over Friends any day. That 70's show but when they tried to replace Eric it wasn't the same. How can you not have Brooklyn 99 on here so many qouteable moments yall even have a video dedicated to it. I know we don't want to talk about The Cosby show but that show easily was top 10 at best shame that he turned out to be a monster cause if that didn't happen that show would be here.
HIMYM was not a "botched ending" people dont want to admit that life is not " happy go lucky and things work out" because we were traditionalized to the modern sitcom. It was real raw and sad. And thats life it doesn't always work out, it doesn't always seem ok, and definitely not what you thought. How i met your mother is not about how you met the mom but what it took to do along the way ......(editors note HIMYM is better than friends)
You said "culture significant" and left out The Cosby Show and The Honeymooners and its cartoon version The Flintstones which was the first adult tinged cartoon not just for kids...
Are they THAT Lazy to change it up the list of top 30? The at the top 20 spots are literally the same as the top 20 video but with added extra 10 above it to make it top 30 HOW LAZY ARE THEY TO CHANGE THEIR MINDS??? Mind you that “Friends” is still on Number 7 like in the original top 20 video where no one agreed
You obviously excluded The Cosby Show due to following scandals etc. And yet I thought Rosanne was also sitting on the naughty step these days? Why one and not the other? Considering some of the guff you included, you could at least have mentioned Murphy Brown. Which was funnier than about half of this list. 'Friends' and 'Fresh Prince' were very much of their time. Both are totally unwatchable 30 years later. They have aged horrendously. The Office, Parks & Rec, and The Big Bang Theory are all brilliant sitcoms that I can binge regularly. Whilst all sharing the trope of having an absolutely atrociously unlikeable main character. (Sheldon, not Leonard. The other 2 are clearly the main main characters.)
My list (In somewhat of a particular order? 1. Mash 2. Family Guy 3. 3rd Rock from the Sun 4. Becker 5. The Drew Carey Show 6. Seinfeld 7. The Jeffersons 8. Frasier 9. Red Dwarf 10. Fresh Prince of Bel Air
I get that you guys think his name is plutonium now, but it's intellectually dishonest to pretend that "The Cosby Show" didn't exist. It was a groundbreaking show and changed the dynamics of television in it's time. It was important and helped shaped an entire generation.
1. Big Bang Theory 2. Cheers 3. I Love Lucy 4. South Park 5. All In The Family 6. The Jeffersons 7. Two and a Half Men 8. Friends 9. The Odd Couple 10. The Dave Chappelle Show
Golden Girls, All In The Family, and I Love Lucy should be top 3. I'm tired of every sitcom list placing Seinfeld number 1 because it's really not that good
I understand why it's missing, but the Cosby show deserves to be here. This is a sitcom list, not taking into account the real life actors behind the characters.
I knew before even hitting play that they'd leave The Cosby Show off the list. Instead of just prefacing it by discussing Cosby's crimes, you're trying to have the world believe that TCS isn't one of the 30 greatest sitcoms of all time. It literally saved NBC and revived the sitcom for the 80s. Unserious.
American sitcoms* Blackadder, Only Fools and Horses, Father Ted, Still Game.. all should be in there, and arguably the first three should be in the top 10 of all time.
Seinfeld really isn´t as big outside US. Frasier was my favourite. Very witty, warm and full of inside jokes about gay issues etc. for it´s time. Best writing in a comedy show in my opinion.
@COMPFUNK2 Look it up! It's a Canadian classic for comedy... Though if the concept sounds boring, guess that's fair cuz I mean it takes place in a small fictional town in saskatchewan, which might exist in real life but I'm forgetting but the show is very funny and same with the animated version! You might not recognize any of the actors, but I actually know someone who's daughter is married to the guy in the show who wears the hat backwards, and that guy one of his first roles was in The Santa clause 2 as a driver of a plane in the opening scene. A very young driver then. Also one of the main actors of the show/ co-creator his name is Brent Butt in real life, and he's a comedian himself but he's very popular in Canada very good I hear and he's married to his co-star from corner gas and that co-star played the principal in radio rebel.
Although I agree with almost all of them, some other greatest sitcoms that I think could/should have made the list are The Simpsons and the Cosby Show, Family Matters and Full House.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!! I know Bill Cosby is a taboo subject but The Cosby Show IS NOT! Why would that not be on this list? You've got Friends but no Living Single? No A Different World? You guys loss some cool points with me!
So glad to see Friends so low on the list. And trust me, 7 is super low to some people who love Friends. When the last episode aired, I swear to God, people acted like it was the second coming of Jesus!!! Yeah...I fking hate Friends....
Seinfeld is not better than all in the family, I love Lucy and friends and golden girls. It’s an acquired taste. Not everyone finds it funny, as opposed to to the others that I mentioned.
Oh American comedy. I was just going to say. I mean there are far greater sitcoms and comedy shows out there, especially British ones. Misleading title.
Which of these iconic sitcoms do you think has had the biggest cultural impact?

I'm not a Seinfeld fan and why no The Jeffersons on the list ugh
It should have picked the top 30 sitcoms based on neilson ratings
Anyone realized that the top 20 spots are the same as the other video? They added extra 10 to make it top 30 and didn’t bother to change it
No Brooklyn 99 nor Malcolm in the middle? Those two shows were huge in Latin America.
Gotcha.
They forgot The Jeffersons
The fact these aren't on here and Seinfeld is number 1, tells you everything you need to know about who made this list
The Nanny and Sanford and Son for me. Let's not forget the Munsters.
@@tay7875Are you Muslim or a white supremacist? Either way, you are an adorable Jew Hater🤣
@@Jamessmith-xk3fh Jeffersons were number 19
Snubbing That 70’s Show is criminal.
Really, we're gonna act like The Cosby Show doesn't belong on here?
Welll.......🙁
The Bill Cosby effect. The same way OJ Simpson is left off of great NFL players lists.
Very True, never missed an episode
Even if you ignore the rapes that show tanked in the back half of its episodes.
Yeah the list not legit with out the cosby show
I’m so glad Married… With Children is on this list; it’s such a classic. Thanks WatchMojo and Rebecca.
Married with children is better than all shiws on thia list but is second to thats 70s show

Golden Girls at only 29? Is this a joke? This is def at least top 10. That’s a no no
I agree. I think it's better than Seinfeld and Friends
As Didier Drogba would say: It's a disgrace! It's a f***ing disgrace!
The fact that Mama's Family isn't even mentioned is criminal. That being said, Frasier, M.A.S.H., and I love Lucy are legends.
I’m sure Seinfeld is number 1 here but I’m just gonna go with I Love Lucy taking the top spoy
Not surprised it’s not on here but one of my personal favorites is the Dick Van Dyke Show.
It's idiotic to leave it off this list. It's usually ranked in the top 10...
Two & a half men - Before Charlie Sheen's Meltdown and before Ashton Kutcher killed the show this was one of the funniest sitcoms at the time. 👨🏿💻

1. I Love Lucy
I think the reason that I love Lucy does not take the number one spot is because it came out in the 50s and isn’t as recent as Seinfeld

Home Improvement is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time for me
Frasier is always superior to Seinfeld and Friends. Mary Tyler Moore should be even higher. HIMYM is too dirivative of Friends to be on here.
You obviously excluded The Cosby Show due to following scandals etc. And yet I thought Rosanne was also sitting on the naughty step these days? Why one and not the other?

HIMYM over (no) Coupling? Cosby, Perfect Strangers, Malcolm in the Middle, My Name is Earl, Chuck, Pushing Daisies...
Modern Family is easily top 5. Parks & Rec and Married with Children are also criminally low
The Cosby Show had more cultural impact than any sitcom in history.
I think Mash should be number 1, I love Lucy number 2 and number 3 Happy Days
Married With Children is myfavourite of all time. Would not be made today.
You’re dead wrong. The Andy Griffith Show, number one.
I get that you guys think his name is plutonium now, but it's intellectually dishonest to pretend that "The Cosby Show" didn't exist. It was a groundbreaking show and changed the dynamics of television in it's time. It was important and helped shaped an entire generation.
Whatever your thoughts about _The Big Bang Theory_ are, it has some great plot lines.
#1 Seinfeld
Seinfeld may just be the most overrated show since television was invented.

Uh, South Park and Chapelle’s Show are NOT sitcoms.
Seinfeld being no.1...and a lot of good shows not being on here... tells me a lot about who made this list.

TBBT is bad. I'd say you should feel bad, but as you like TGG, that would be incorrect of me.
IASIP at 22 is a joke, it's only the longest running sitcom ever.
Seinfeld really isn´t as big outside US. Frasier was my favourite. Very witty, warm and full of inside jokes about gay issues etc. for it´s time. Best writing in a comedy show in my opinion.
It’s sad that 50s television doesn’t get as talked about as 70s 80s 90s 2000s and 2010s
did you leave Malcolm in the Middle out or it's not considered as a sitcom?
Seinfeld better be n1
Bewitched? Barney Miller? The Honeymooners?
Um..... family matters was awesome also
Reactionary "canceling" is unAmerican and unConstitutional. Put it right.
Three's Company should be way higher on the list and The Office should be #1
Corner Gas? Mom? Corner Gas Animated? My Name is Earl? Malcolm in the Middle? Raising Hope?!
What the heck is Corner Gas?
Seriously? The Golden Girls is only number 29?
Although I agree with almost all of them, some other greatest sitcoms that I think could/should have made the list are The Simpsons and the Cosby Show, Family Matters and Full House.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!! I know Bill Cosby is a taboo subject but The Cosby Show IS NOT! Why would that not be on this list? You've got Friends but no Living Single? No A Different World? You guys loss some cool points with me!
Not having The Good Place is.....
So glad to see Friends so low on the list.
And trust me, 7 is super low to some people who love Friends.
When the last episode aired, I swear to God, people acted like it was the second coming of Jesus!!!
Yeah...I fking hate Friends....
Ummmmm really??.. where is “THAT 70s SHOW”??!!..
I also would have included “Full House” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”.
Completely ignoring Sanford and son is so ridiculous
How dare you put Scrubs at only 28
Seinfeld is not better than all in the family, I love Lucy and friends and golden girls. It’s an acquired taste. Not everyone finds it funny, as opposed to to the others that I mentioned.
My favorite Sitcoms of all time is Friends and Modern Family
Where is: The Cosby Show, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Honeymooners, & Black-ish?
Oh American comedy. I was just going to say. I mean there are far greater sitcoms and comedy shows out there, especially British ones. Misleading title.
