I honestly don't think he cared... he doesn't seem the type, maybe his publicist might have reacted. To be honest I watched his movies and maybe saw him on Letterrman He seems chill and he is a mega rich ultra movie star sex symbol with a lot more to think about than South Park Do you think he is insecure about anything?
In the commentary for the episode, Trey Parker basically says that The Dog Whisperer is one of the few shows that can actually evoke tears from him. He definitely admires what Cesar Milan does
Kurt Cobain once said that he knew they had made it big when Weird Al spoofed their song. Well, these days, you know people are paying attention to you if South Park makes fun of you.
I think it's too obvious to be an honest statement. Aren't people produdcng that kind of show even referring to their own work as trash TV when talking business?
Mama June also stayed together with the man who sexually abused her daughter. It's pretty damn trashy when you believe your boyfriend, who was already a convicted sex offender, over your own daughter! That's the lowest of the low of trash.
Yeah but they didn't really trash him like other celebrities, they just kind of used the uniqueness of him/his show as a good plot element. I mean could you really see Paris Hilton sitting down and reacting to her episode, 'Yes, stupid spoiled whore perfectly describes me'.
The funny thing about Dawkins is that a fan during a book signing asked him how can he be so smart, if he didn't know Mr. Garrison was a man. Then he gave a scoff and smirk and pushed the book away after signing it. 😂
I seem to remember an old Barbra Streisand quote of her criticizing people for driving large SUVs and when confronted about hers she responded that she needed one.😀
Same thing she said about gun laws when she and then-husband Tom Hayden confronted an intruder in their home, each wielding their own pistol. When asked about her rabid (joo) gun control stance and promotion of (unconstitutional) gun control laws she reportedly quipped "that's for other people, not us." Members of a certain tribe seem to think themselves separate, special and entitled.
You forgot to mention "The Streisand Effect"- her talking about how much she hated the episode only made it MORE popular. They literally have made a phenomenon based on her reaction.
@@jopalm3649 Yep the photographer was taking pictures of effects on the shore line, and happened to of photographed her house in the process. Streisand made a big stink instead of keeping quiet and made the photo popular due to people wanting to see her house XD
Just bcuz it's a show ostensibly about kids they think its for kids. Like they don't get that the kids are just a convenient way of showing an honest perspective of the ridiculousness of society.

the fact that Tom Cruise has the audacity to be angry about anything while he enables one of the sickest cults there is makes me hope Southpark does another 10 episodes on him
Um hello? Isaac fckn Hayes anyone? Dude let slide when SP mocked every religion but after the Tom Cruise episode about Scientology he threw a shit fit because that's HIS form tribal superstition and he quit like a hypocrite the they roasted his ass good with an episode about his "fruity little club" and he threatened to sue like a little btch.
Apparently before he died Steve Irwin loved the parody of himself in the season two episode Prehistoric Ice Man. But it’s understandable that Terri was upset about the one where the stingray was sticking out of his chest
Yeah totally understandable reaction. Heck I don’t really watch South Park and didn’t know about that stingray segment but I didn’t find it funny, just felt sad remembering how he passed probably because I liked watching him whe I was a young teen.
Do you think it’s possible…. That Barbara streisand’s comments about her portrayal on the show and the creators inevertly inspired the film’s version of Kyle’s mom?
Well remember many moms n parents actually was also pissy about the show. I remember when it first came out while in school the parents would flip out over it l.
Well, Tom Cruise, JLo and Babs Streisand all have a reputation of not being the nicest people to work with. No surprise that they didn't take the parody well.
I remember sneaking into South Park: Bigger, Longer and uncut when I was 13 years old and laughing my ass off, soon after I picked up the soundtrack on CD (only listened to it on my old discman).
Not surprising that Meghan Markle, Sarah Jessica Parker, Honey Boo Boo's mom, Sally Struthers, Barbara Streisand, Jennifer Lopez, and Tom Cruise were offended by their portrayals. Speaks volumes about their character.
They should be offended. They were being roasted. That said, SP always gets it right, and when you're famous and an $%#@ , you're gonna get hit. Unfortunately, Dano Plato ultimately killed herself. Otherwise, Ph$# em lol
I would like to see the reations from other celebrities: Oprah Winfrey, Rob Reiner, Mel Gibson, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Kenny G, Yoko Ono, Bono, John Edwards, and to name a few I overlooked.
I totally agree except for Steve Irwin. He's too pure and his family really didn't need to see that. And I know you can say well they shouldn't watch the show but now that social media exist I mean it could just pop up on their Facebook and that would be pretty devastating to his kids. Steve Irwin's a person who never existed before and never will exist again so that's just how I feel.
I’m actually a huge fan of Paris Hilton. She created a whole empire by acting like a dumb blonde, which is hilarious because she’s ridiculously intelligent. Her portrayal in South Park was funny.
I would be honored. It’s what humility is. Showing the side you don’t want see then laugh at it. Like being parodied by Weird Al. Russell Crowe said it perfectly.
19:06 Sally Struhters is probably the most cruel of all of these, but I think it is valid. Any celebrity that tries to guild lower class people into donating instead of just getting other celebrities to donate deserves to be made fun of. No she was not hoarding food, but she was going after the wrong people for charity funds and maybe not her particularly, but more than half of those funds go to paying the "employees" of the foundation rather than actually making it to the starving children.
I was so hype when manbearpig turned out to be real. Not because of the underlying message but just because of the absurdity. Like the whole foods episode when they went to tell it to leave i told my wife, "watch the building actually leave on its own", i was super hyped that time too. Sometimes its the absurdity that makes it funny.
I think the Gingervitus episode was very relevant and accurate from when i was in school. I was a ginger growing up and had an identical twin brother. We were teased a lot for the fact we had freckles and "red" hair (actually strawberry blonde than true red). We were called freckles, rabbit boys, geeks until my brother embraced it by adopting the nickname Opie in middleschool. This was way before South Park Episode. It would make sense that Ed Sherman wouldn't hear much, especially growing up in Great Britian. I'm sure gingers are way more common there in comparison to the US (at least in North-Eastern Indiana where the majority of college classmates have darker shades of hair). After high school, if anyone would be teasing someone for anything like that is a bit pathetic. He may have been just taking offense to someone discussing that episode with him, which I have done several times specifically about that episode because most people have seen it.
I feel like it’s the same as Weird Al doing one of your songs. If you’re relevant enough to be satirised then you’ve truly made it fame-wise and should be happy. The fact that some are so precious about it and others are amused or pleased says a lot about them as people!
