massive respect for putting Cartman at 1st. All I knew going in was cartman and randy would be in the top2 and this is the most important ranking decision. Cartman is just so funny. When you go back you realise just how funny he makes the show.
Cartman is literally south park. South park has a great cast and the show would be worse without them, but he's basically the soul of south park that truly defines it
Personally I think Randy is funnier but Cartman is more of a complex character. Which I mean, he's a sociopath. Of course it's not gonna be purely humorous
craig's my fav, love his relationship with tweek and their interactions in the game were so hilarious it gave me a soft spot for them (but craig's apathy is so funny i always laugh when hes on the scene
Butters is the perfect representation of abused children. The kind of abuse that is usually "socially accepted", but, as research has shown, can have devastating effects on development. This in addition to him still just trying to be a good kid makes him so endearing.
I actually grew up 24 blocks away from Casa Bonita. It was part of my childhood, and the south park episode was not my first introduction to it. It should, however, be noted that Mexican Disneyland is a good summary of it.
The thing about Cartman is not only is he an amazing stand-alone character that can be the star of his own episodes, but he brings out the best in every character he interacts with. He brings out the best in Wendy, Butters, Kyle, and Stan. He’s easily my favorite character in the show.
18:01 I find it so funny how Kenny's siblings just appeared so late in the show. I had always been under the impression that he was an only child due to his reaction to his mom wanting a baby in Cartman Joins NAMBLA.
Kenny has siblings at least as far back as Chickenpox from season two. Being a big brother is very different from being a little brother, though, and I should know, being an only child myself. Maybe they asked him because of the different relationship dynamics, or maybe they just wanted to inform him and smoothe over any resentment by giving him the illusion that he had a say in it.
I haven’t seen the episode in a while so correct me if I’m wrong but I think he acted that way when his parents wanted another kid because he knew they would just throw it to the other kids they have and neglect it. I’m probably not right tho
Kyle is undoubtedly my favorite character with cartman coming in second. I don’t know why I just love his personality so much. He’s like a damn chihuahua and he perfectly reflects almost the opposite of Stan and I love him for it
chihuahuas cant hurt you. kyle has kicked so much ass he is the definition of "looks like can kill you, can actually kill you" def will always be my favorite character. plus his frenemies relationship with cartman is hilarious
You forgot to mention the hummle episode where Stan and His grandpa take down that one farting lady who was controlling everybody in the old folks home like some sort of Mafia boss, I personally think it's Grandpa Marsh's greatest moment when he beat her with bag full of hummles in the end of the episode and took over as the new boss, It was also the episode that had the best story arc for his character. Just wanted to point that out. I'm pretty sure it was episode 6 of season 21 or 22

I am completely cheese and onion crisp sick of your abhorrid treatment of the lil' Brit of Colorado and will be reporting your channel to the Tesco Fan Club. Yours truly, the whole of England.
The funniest character has a minor role in just one episode. He is the ultimate non-sequitur. _The black dude in the vampire clique_ in the emo episode with Edgar Allen Poe.
I honestly feel kinda bad for Pip just because of how he was treated lmao. He got ripped on because he was a nice British kid, and he just ends up getting crushed by Mecha Streisand because the writers probably forgot about him and needed tie up the loose ends
I kinda like Terrance and Philip in the small bits where they aren't being their usual selves. Like in the episode Canada on Strike, Terrance and Philip were the voice of reason against Steven Abootman.
"Wow man it's like, you go through life thinking you're an individual m'kay, but we realise we're more than that m'kay, we're just part of one big individual m'kay".
6:23 as someone who has experienced a dead mother, and I blamed myself and lived with the guilt for years, this episode is hilarious and I love it deeply.
I feel like I’d agree a lot more with Randy’s placement if it wasn’t for the newest seasons. Since Tegridy Farms came up, he’s been at the front and center in every South Park episode and taking up a lot of well-deserved screen time for the main four boys and the rest of the kids. He still has a lot of enjoyable antics but his character is so overdone in a show of SO many characters that his screen time has become insufferable.
16:25 Yes we did, Matt and Trey just had a stupid opinion that they backed out of when they realized it was dumb. We have long known the affects of global warming.
The episode with barbrady's sick dog destroyed me as I ruined myself to save my dog with no success..... just watching the clip again broke me in tears lol. The only part from south park I cant handle emotionally.
Honestly my favourite character will always be Butters. I always find myself rooting for him and laughing at every scene he's in. Second would probably be Cartman and third would be Randy. They were both my number ones at different points
Oh how I would love to have pip back , I liked his backstory how his parents are dead and his sister basically abuses him everyday , I think if the writers didn’t hate him so much he would have potential and be a fun character he’s way underrated

South Park is, and always will be, One of the Greatest Shows of ALL time. Cartman's Character might be the BEST WORST Character ever created and Randy is a true gift to the show. Agree with this list to it's entirety. Pip also fits in his place on this list as every episode he's in just irritates me. The only change I would make is putting Mr. Garrison 3rd because what the actual fuckery of a Character he is. Perfection
Without a doubt, Cartman is a unique character and from time to time he presents something of pure insane, but but and but Randy is just an absolution of the description what insanity is, so for me both of them are the most essential part of the series.
The main reason why I love South Park so much - are characters. All of them are incredibly cool, fun and relatable. My favorites are Kyle, Chef, Mr Garrison and Sheron
Sadam has the whole Canadian thing because he introduced in Terrence and Phillips Not Without My Anus episode where portrayed as a Canadian actor playing Saddam but Trey and Matt just decided to keep him that way.
The moment you mentioned crab people i started chanting the crab people chant because its an ongoing gag with me and a bunch of my friends so this list made me happy
Kenny's brother is the most unutilized character in south park and maybe ever that I don't even recall his name. Imagine if similar to Kenny's not dying curse his brother is cursed of never being utilized ever.
i watched your "every south park scandal" video awhile back out of curiosity, having never watched the show. but it really piqued my interest so i started watching it and im having a lot fun with it so thanks! 👍

Fun fact: Kanye actually referenced his incident with South Park about a year after. In one of his songs he even said he would, "choke a South Park writer with a fishstick."
Stan has always been my favorite character from the first time I saw SP. I relate to him the most but not only that once you dig into his character you find out how complex he is and he’s more than just your average American kid even if that’s his standard roll. He may not be school smart like Kyle but he’s street smart. Stan is a sensitive kid that will do anything for his family and friends. He loves animals, sports, music, and has a big sweet tooth lol. He can be very blunt and isn’t afraid to stand up for what he thinks is right. But like anyone Stan is flawed in the way that he would rather go to extremes about a lie to avoid getting in trouble or face reality. Stan is a good balance of both his parents and thankfully has his mom’s rational view on things for the most part lol. He’s not as in your face as Cartman and Randy which I appreciate. I could go on but that’s just a slice of why Stan will always be my personal underrated favorite character.
I've always thought of Stan as the "unintentionally funny" funny character. There are plenty of times where he's done with Randy or other characters' bullshit and it's just funny. Like he tries to be serious and I just can't help but find it funny lmao
@@JoyofBookingThat's how he's funny to me. He tries not to be funny, but it usually ends up being funny. That's why I think Stan is one of the funniest South Park characters
1: Randy Just hilarious and has so many relatable qualities to any father. 2: Cartman Outrageous, an awful person but entertaining as hell. 3: Butters So adorably innocent it just leads to so many funny moments considering who his friends are.
There’s a lot of great characters but over time Kyle became my favorite because he tends to be the best written and the most “fleshed out” with the strongest conflicts. But objectively, Cartman is easily number one followed by either Butters or Randy 😂
I really would have put Jesus on bottom S tier to mid A tier, because it's so funny whenever he's around, and some moments are really good (there are more reasons but i'm not making a 30 thousand words essay). I mostly agree with the list but there are some that I'd change. I'm not talking about them because it would take a while
I was Towelie for Halloween one year and didn't tell any of my friends. I just showed up at a party with the blue towel squared and draped over my head, talked in the Towelie voice and had 2 sets of eyes that I could switch out for a sober Towelie and for when Towelie eventually got a little high.
I LOVE Clyde’s out Burst 😂 I get a vibe of a old wartime movie where they’re at a council meeting and the man whose theories were never believed are slowly coming true so he defends them as a gentlemen 😂😂😂😂
9:24 that has to be one of the funniest moments in recent South park I don't know why but a principal telling a kid to shut up in that harsh of a way is hilarious to me.
Great video, love the channel. My hottest South Park take is that Great Expectations (the Pip episode), which is pretty much unanimously considered the worst episode, is one of my favorites. massive respect for putting Cartman at 1st.

Butters is the perfect representation of abused children. The kind of abuse that is usually "socially accepted", but, as research has shown, can have devastating effects on development.
This in addition to him still just trying to be a good kid makes him so endearing.
But despite being often abused he tends to be the most happy. It’s very sweet :)
Butters, Cartman and Randy.... the big 3.
I actually grew up 24 blocks away from Casa Bonita. It was part of my childhood, and the south park episode was not my first introduction to it. It should, however, be noted that Mexican Disneyland is a good summary of it.
It's opening again soon, I live north of Denver, maybe I'll go
Damn, this man really dedicated himself to South Park. Please don't stop anytime soon, love these long form videos talking SP.
The thing about Cartman is not only is he an amazing stand-alone character that can be the star of his own episodes, but he brings out the best in every character he interacts with. He brings out the best in Wendy, Butters, Kyle, and Stan. He’s easily my favorite character in the show.
No craaaaaab
I love Timmy. I used to work with a kid who has cerebral palsy who looked exactly like Timmy but with glasses. Loved that kid…
@@NotoriousLightning actually I think they appear even earlier than chickenpox in “chickenlover”

I would place Stan’s Grandpa in B tier for the fact that he played a HUGE role in the ManBearPig special
He also played a pretty big role in that Hummels episode
And the Cash for Gold Episode
Plus that episode from the first season when he makes Billy try to kill him is so memorable for me
He also played a big role in the contortionist sisters episode when her wooed their grandma. Lol
Kyle is undoubtedly my favorite character with cartman coming in second. I don’t know why I just love his personality so much. He’s like a damn chihuahua and he perfectly reflects almost the opposite of Stan and I love him for it
Yeah sameee! Also he’s the smartest and I love his “I learn something today” moments.

I honestly feel kinda bad for Pip just because of how he was treated lmao. He got ripped on because he was a nice British kid, and he just ends up getting crushed by Mecha Streisand because the writers probably forgot about him and needed tie up the loose ends

Yeah, but it's hard to downgrade him after episodes like more crap, fighting little league dads or when he had alcoholism disease

I love how every time you mentioned some more interesting moments with a given character, you then show a clip of that moment
His name is Kevin(I think).

He's more of a straight character and doesn't do anything funny, but I get how he's the most relatable
yeah, stan does the right things for the wrong reasons, while kyle does the opposite. i love stan
I've always thought of Stan as the "unintentionally funny" funny character. There are plenty of times where he's done with Randy or other characters' bullshit and it's just funny. Like he tries to be serious and I just can't help but find it funny lmao

I really would have put Jesus on bottom S tier to mid A tier, because it's so funny whenever he's around, and some moments are really good (there are more reasons but i'm not making a 30 thousand words essay). Great video, love the channel.
My hottest South Park take is that Great Expectations (the Pip episode), which is pretty much unanimously considered the worst episode, is one of my favorites. It's funny, has heart, gives a funny little side story to a character we don't know much about, Malcolm McDowell kills it as the narrator.
