I had two booster seats in the back of my 08 convertible when my kids were younger. Totally practical! Love the rear window test!
Pony cars are great for families when kids are up to about ten. Car seats fit well and kids can crawl in the back just fine.
To answer your question of how dumb is it to haul your family around in a Mustang? The very best kind of dumb :)

I am on the fence on the Bronze package. How did it look in person? It seems to look good with Grabber Blue but not sure how it would look with Vapor Blue which is the color I would want on my GT Premium. 🤔
Great review as always. I saw a family a 4 (2 sons about your height) get out of a last gen Mustang. Made me think it would be a perfect dad car. After a test drive, I thought, ‘wow! I think the dad driving the Mustang I saw was a horrible person… but no judgement.

This was definitely enjoyable as we're a family of 4 with a Mini Cooper. It's tight but doable for the moment when kiddos are front facing.

Will the 2024 improve safety? When they were introduced in Australia they were tested against Australian/NZ standards it ended up with a two-star rating (out of five). The next iteration moved up to three stars and that's been it up to 2023. Crazy.

I hope you can test drive a manual Challenger before its gone.
The mustang is very nice, but for me it is really lacking in character.
I had a 1970 Mach1, it was cantankerous but an absolute hoot to drive.
Not sure if it is possible, but I would delete the rear seats if that was an option.
It’s the last regular car Ford makes. But I liked the 5th generation introduced in 2005 better.

My biggest (and sad) issue with the GT is that it doesn't come with the Tremec as standard and instead the weakest part of the car - the MT82. It is a really horrible transmission.

It’s a Mid Life crisis car for all of the men around 65-70 in my neighborhood.
Of course this is not a family car. The rear seat is pretty much vestigial (as it is in, say, the Porsche 911 or Subaru BRZ). Realistic expectations are called for in a review of the Mustang GT, knowing that it's designed for dynamic performance while carrying one or two people and their baggage - and looking good.

The Mustang is over the hill. In a negative way. It is not a Mustang anymore. The Mustang was original an affordable sports car. Its not that anymore.

I could never get past the annoyingly huge hood bulge with Mustangs which obstructs your view to the front. It still has not completed the transition to a driver's car. Looks good though.

This is a pretty strange comment. I own a 2013 Boss 302. There are zero visibility issues dude and the "bulge" is higher than new mustangs
I own the 24 mustang gt premium, no problems with visibility so far especially with the hood
I hope they fixed darn 10 speed auto, they are breaking left and right on Fords, yet GM version is fine

I didn't bother to finish your review. I was tired of all the whining about cup holders and lack of space. Every vehicle you test has to be an SUV or you are going to bitch about lack of cup holders! Better stick to reviews of minivans!
