when I play there is error boxes around madeline and it is also freezing alot and its unplayable I tried reinstalling but it wont work do you know how to fix
Wow, this is my first mod on this game and the process was flawless. I look forward to re-exploring the game this way! Though... despite 196 strawberries in the normal game... I've completely forgotten how to move, haha. Maybe this is a chance to learn the best control scheme :-).

The Linux install instructions starting off with "Pray to dependency satan" had me worried... but thankfully everything was plug-n-play on my Steam Deck! Thanks for the easy to follow tutorial, and thank you to everyone who worked on this collab for getting me into modded Celeste! Edit: there was a crash workaround and a performance optimization that needed to be applied. But with those two hiccups out of the way this mod is unbelievable! My expectations have been exceeded many times so far. Some of the mechanics invented by you guys are nothing short of... wow. And I've had so much fun on every map I've played through so far. Anyone on the fence, please give it a shot, it's very good.
Ikr its not hard to setup. Just use linux version and if you have freeze issues then modify the config file in your save folder to set fast texture loading to false. Everything works fine on steamdeck! :)

When I went to install missing dependencies, it gave me an error and told me to check a log file. Thankfully, all I actually had to do was try installing missing dependencies two more times and it got everything. Probably just some out-of-order linux thing, but figured I'd post here for anyone who has the same issue.
when i click "install missing dependencies," the database refuses to load. i've followed all of the steps as they were given in the video, and i've even tried different versions of everest, but i keep getting the same error. does anyone know how to fix this?

There is a setting in one your files called fast texture loading. The file is in your saves folder directory. Turn that to false and things will load properely! :). This fixed the errors for me! The file has some dashes in it and you will know which one it is when you see it! If the setting equals blank means its auto true set it to false by typing false in and save the file. Done!
After installing the mod for Windows from Everest's one-click install, my numpad controls are disabled on both vanilla and modded, when they were working fine before, and the rest of my controls still work fine. Any tips?
How long does it take to install the latest sable version of Olympus, on my end it just loads but never gets past the “C:\program files (86)\steam\steamapps\common\celeste” step. It just, loads. (I have a good PC and a stable network connection) Edit: I figured out the problem. As the dumbass I am, I had Celeste open and running while attempting this, so it was unable to access the files.
For me it was fairly quick, you need to specify inside olympus(on the left side of the mai screen) the celeste folder where the mods will be installed I guess maybe this is the problem? Idk, first time I'm modding celest btw The mod installation on the other hand took a while for me. I do have a potato laptop tho
might i suggest that all installation issues, both everest/olympus and the mod itself, get directed to #modding_help? especially now that the mod has been out for well over a year and the sj server is mostly inactive
PLEASE HELP! My Olympus just can't complete the job. Either it doesn't loads the installation files, or crashes when downloading "artifacts", or latter I get the "mini installer destroyed" message or something like it. Even trying multiple sources of Olympus or disabling my firewall and stuff didn't made a difference. Asking this also in both Discords, but I can't understand Discord. Please help!
You need an epic games version or steam version of Celeste I believe. Pirated copies won't work since it does check for a valid install location for steam on Everest.
No it shouldn't. Cause when you make a new save it lets you choose what mode you want. Its not tied to all saves. Just the new one you create. Your previous save files should remain intact!

yeah it downloads like 53 mods, i tried to run it on linux but in the lobby i get a solid 2-3 fps but when i join any map it becomes normal

The only problem I have is the loading time to boot the game is soo long, it takes nearly 5 minutes for some reason. But overall it's a great mod
