As someone that keeps monitors for 10-15+ years until they die, OLED is absolutely a no-good for me with threat of burn-in after a few short years. As others mentioned Prime Day in Summer/Fall of 2023 had this monitor at $500 and they are still discounting it at $634 as of November 2023, this monitor makes a lot more sense at such a low price point.
I got this today for $500 which has to be the best bang for buck of any monitor currently out there. I have a 65” oled tv and I would never go back to anything else. However, for monitors I feel like that’s not a good choice at all. Will it look amazing? Of course. But if you are planning to do any kind of productivity like myself or even you, then you wouldn’t want it. Imagine your screen one day with excel cells permanently burned into your display… no thank you. Mini led is the best display technology for monitors period. You get the picture quality and excellent black levels at no risk of burn in. Truly an, can do it all monitor seems like. I will update this comment if this isn’t the case after I receive mine, but I seriously doubt I’ll need to do that.
Bought it at best buy for 500.. returned it after 8 hours of use .the ghosting and light bleed are so freaking bad..hope u don't have that issue...I see why it's over 50% off
love this monitor so freaking much. Only needed this monitor for gaming and streaming tv shows like netflix and the picture is amazing and great for gaming with 144hz 4k i use a 7900xtx
that 25" fits PERFECTLY with that. Decisions, decisions.... I'm on the market for a 43" and I've found a few that are cheaper, but I'm big on aesthetics. Currently rocking a 27" ASUS Display, which is great, but that flush look just looks soooo good!!
I just bought it... 500 dollars it's amazing I can say for this price to performance. After some tweeks and enhancing shadows I can say I get an oled like experience with no burn in risk associated. I'm afraid of Oled on PC displays I'm fine for TV's and myself have Oled for content but having my windows bar, chrome tabs and things that don't change a lot I really don't want to change my habits to make a monitor work for me. If you can get it you won't be dissapointed :)
Have you updated the firmware? I wonder if recent updates have improved the response time at all. Also if you can share what settings you tweaked that'd be great. I'm thinking of replacing my 42" C3 with this.
@@YoungJohnHolmesWhy would you replace your C3 with G7 brother? any reasons for replacement with something inferior besides burn in? I'm currently in the market for a new display, so far I have my eyes on two displays, C2 48" for $700 vs G7 43" for $450, both in brand new condition.
Just like the 27" 1440p G7 I had, I read all this about ghosting and smearing and never experienced it, great monitor. Now I have this one...same thing read the odd comments referencing ghosting or whatever and I dont see it. Maybe Samsung has bad batches or bad quality control? But they dont universally have these ghosting issues or whatever.
Dude you are the only one with this review! Thanks for that, just bought one for 500$ , what’s the best viewing distance? I have a desk thats 2 and half feet deep is that good enough? Or should i go for some mounts and stuff
Since I'm annoyed by all the glossy TVs, the monitor is an option for me as a TV alternative, since 43 inches are enough for me; it even has HDMI Arc, so connecting a soundbar will go without a hitch, and the monitor's own menus let you use the main streaming providers. Worth a try for me
I might give this a try. My 4090 says it might be worth it. Are you still happy with monitor with PC and Console gaming on it as well as watching TV. like is there any judder when streaming apps like other Samsung TVs

What should be the depth of the desk (Y axis) for a monitor of this size. I m contemplating on buying a 43 inches but want to make sure that the depth of my desk is fine or ok. My desk's depth is 34 inches. Close to 3 feet but not yet.
Hi, I just bought this monitor, but I have encountered several issues. The first thing I noticed is that the VA panel's viewing angle is worse than my previous monitor, which was an IPS (LG 38GN950B). Then there's the issue of ghosting. For normal usage, I don't really notice it, but when I do a UFO Test, it becomes apparent that the ghosting on this monitor is quite bad. However, the most noticeable problem is waking up the monitor from sleep mode or when the display is off (while the computer is still on). Often, I can't wake up the monitor by moving the mouse or pressing the keyboard, even though the computer is on. Reconnecting the DisplayPort doesn't help either. I have to restart my PC using the physical button for the monitor to display the image again. This never happened with my LG monitor. Oh, and before using the LG monitor, I also used a Samsung 32-inch 1440p gaming monitor and encountered the same wake-up screen problem, but not as frequently as now. The solution I'm currently using is setting the sleep mode and screen off to never. Do you know any other solutions?
Awesome review been looking for one. Since they really need to drop the price down to $650 at least. That way I can save up and grab on during the summer to replace my aging dual monitor setup on my desk. :)
Do you think it’s worth it to get this for mainly coding 9-5 then gaming in the weekend? Or should I still just get the c2? I also like the kvm usb ports on the mini led
If you plan on keeping the monitor for more than a few years, OLED is a bad choice. OLED costs more and has to be replaced more often. I still have a 24" 1080p LED from Samsung that's over 15 years old still kicking like new as a side monitor for email and internet tabs. OLED with any amount of static desktop/app images will burn in after a couple years. Maybe in another 5 years of OLED tech maturing it'll get more worth it.
